Day 18
Today we went for breakfast to French place in the corner. Then N went to his gym and I took motorsai to Pratamnak Hill to see Big Buddha and admiral. Last time I was there it was crowded , this time with even better weather  at Big Buddha were probably more stray  dogs than pilgrims and tourists combined. But it added to the charm of place, quiet , nice breeze and good views

 Going back I took motorsai to the Jomtien bus station and bought ticket to BKK for tomorrow. At 2 , like yesterday Art arrived for massage and again managed to put me to sleep during massage without singing lullabies. There’s something soothing in his stokes. Who knows when we will have another chance ?
 In the afternoon Gaybutton , his board friend R and me had another dinner together , this time we settled forum  on Mexican which I’m not big fan of and I’m glad I went along because my dish, some chicken salad in big tortilla  was tasty and  serving was big, I did not even manage to eat it all. I updated them on my trip goings , we discussed covid and current  Pattaya situation , great interesting  afternoon , thank you gentlemen both for  inviting me again.
 
At one time today I got message from aussie_ who after left Panorama last night went to Sunee , to Nice Boys and had great time there. So when I meet z909 at Jomtien we decided to pay a visit in that bar.. Before stepping in we did grand tour of the plaza only to see shops boarded and bars closed including Winners.
There were few  boys at Nice Boys , mostly eating and drinking in the corners , few pretending to rotate on the stage were deep in their smartphones and even if few looked quite attractive it was impossible to even make an eye contact. Nobody seemed to pay any attention to us  nor to few other customers who popped in from time to time . Certainly it was my first in any Thai bar ever to feel completely ignored , even  when we wanted a check it required loud  scream “can we get a check please” because earlier signals were completely ignored.
No idea what trick aussie _used yesterday to have good time , what we got I’d call none time. It was just like watching paint dry even if there were at least 3 guys I’d gladly invite to sit, have a drink and collect some tip for a feel. Most attractive did best job of hiding behind the beam with his back to us. I was not even upset when we  left, just amazed of what happened. Is not that I’m crossing that bar off my list and certainly will visit it again in future if only to see if it can go even lower. It was just strange.
 Disappointed and in a sense disgusted we went to Boyztown counting on consolation and indeed it was full of life with show already going on  in the soi and perhaps as many as 100 spectators. Mamasan Aek greeted us with  a smile. My last night off spotted me as well and instantly sent me a message ‘ why you are not coming to drink with me?” to which I answered  ‘ don’t you see I’m with boyfriend ?”.
That’s an advantage of visiting bars with friend as always it can be claimed we are with boyfriend. Nobody will believe but everybody will get signal ‘ leave me alone”. In front of me I spotted sitting  very handsome guy and asked Aek if he is BBB boy, he was indeed so I asked him to invite guy for a drink .
Too bad I promised N night together and am leaving tomorrow as if was fine specimen definitely worth an off. All I got tonight was handholding session in the open but definitely I will be looking for him in a future. Rewarded him 100 baht for his time and 200 for good looks, drink outside was 100 and boy drink 150. I liked spirit of cooperation of bars in the soi banding together trying to revive Boyztown and leaving competition for later.
After the show I parted  my ways with z909  ,  shook hands good bye as we will not meet this trip again and took motorsai to the Zing where N sitting in front of his shop,  now closed for  a day  ,  spotted me  in a distance and rushed toward me  for out last night and his last tip this trip. This was a reason our time tonight was less steamy  but much, much more clingy.
 

Day 17
In the morning well deserved breakfast at hotel, German style cold cuts plate  for 190. Surprisingly N opted for the same. I told him his presence next night is required, thank you very much but stay tuned on the Line as it may be well past midnight when I return to the hotel . I did not plan anything but since BBB yesterday looked promising I was preparing ground just in case I will stay in Pattaya longer tonight. When he went to his gym I fired up Agoda and for the same reason I booked cheap 500 baht  room in Nature Beach Hotel in soi 11.
As I mentioned earlier , after 2 weeks I kind of miss food I normally digest so went to supermarket near Jomtien airport bus station and stocked on rye bread and cottage cheese.
At 2 pm Art arrived as agreed yesterday for a massage and he is so skilled even if only self taught that he managed to put me to sleep mid-day !!! Than I realized that he was my only encounter this trip with guy  engaged in previous trips. Yes , Soviet was repeat too but I don’t count him as previous encounter was completely forgotten by both of us and I realized only after we met that it’s not our first time.
After he left, previously asked to repeat the feast tomorrow at the same time I went to Jurgens in View Talay 1 for my fil of schnitzel and potatos. Not as good as at Alt Heidelberg or Berliner Café but still closely resembling on original. 360 with beer. Well filled up I went to Walking Street  and marched whole length  from Bali Hai pier . not that was much to see as almost all bars were closed but here and there were traces of life returning Sad truth is that still on once such busy boisterous street only one business survived intact and that is 7/11.
Not quite family destination already and likely it never happen but for a moment that street is dead indeed   as adult entertainment destination.
In Panorama  I met with aussie_  again and we talked waiting for the show. In meantime from time to time I indulged in my newest hobby i.e. combing through Grindr and I noticed that one of guys there may be one sitting in front of BBB. Since he looked attractive I fired him message on Grindr ‘are you guy in black t-shirt with big X on the back ? ‘. That got him interested , he started looking around so I waved at him. We agreed to solve once and for all  climate crisis after the show. In spirit of collaboration bars in Boyzown now are combining efforts to put that outside show together and first number with few very muscular guys was music to my ears.

 
 

 
Around 10 pm aussie_ left Panorama and shortly after   I took my newest friend to that room ,  smartly booked in the ,morning. Very basic but with all expected conveniences, full washroom , working safety box and A/C, for 500 one can’t expect more than that even in those trying times. Great body and above standard  performance by my newest friend would made it memorable evening but unfortunately he made it pretty clear that he is interested in finishing business as soon as possible not knowing that in my eyes it’s cardinal sin.
As soon as it was hinted I kind of fast lost interest mindful that well tried N is waiting for me anyways, chalked  off agreed 1500 tip as a loss , Ok,  not quite due to attributes mentioned above  but money not well spent . I even generously offered to give him a lift to Wat Chai   in taxi I hailed on the Beach Rd  but I was grinding my teeth quietly. As Christian PFC says, no repeat. 
Lined N to come to hotel as I’ on my way and at 12.30 am we started another steamy and stormy sleepover. THAT was well spent money no doubt and subsequent night was secured before we even hit the sheets. Despite slight hick up with Grindr guy , it was great busy day with three encounters even if that day 17 ended with pretty sleepless night. 
 

Day 16    
Lonely night resulted in early waking up and I was one of first people to report for breakfast at hotel restaurant this morning. I swear elderly lady sitting across at the same place she did yesterday had question mark in her eyes    “where’s your boy ?” but since she did not ask, I did not answer.
I had some chores his morning to do and then walked about market in Silom soi 5 , then packed and went to Swampy for my 2nd trip to Pattaya.
Good timing as bus was leaving in 20 minutes. This time I  decided to stay in more spartan place than last few hotels  , at Zing in Jomtien Complex  but compromise was more on room size not comfort since Zing is very comfortable and at this time quite quiet. On reception I was asked for proof of vaccination and it was only time in 25 day I was actually asked to show it other than at airport on arrival. Since news were building up that Boyztown is returning to life  after I settled I went to Pattaya bit surprised as my baht bus was full like in good old days, even both standing places were occupied.
What I saw was not disappointing, Panorama opened , and in the soi red carpet  spread. What a contrast 1 week made ! Week ago is was just dark , empty and quiet. Since Z909 and me were supposed to dine at Terminal 21  I took quite a walk there, very pleasant as weather was extremely nice this afternoon.  Met Z909  in the food court and we exchanged news about last week over dinner and at dark we took songtaew to Boyztown to see resurrection. Actually  it happened 2 days ago but for me it was first chance. We parked at Panorama to have good view for the show which was supposed to happen in the soi, Now I know what red carpet was for .
Nice surprise , mamasan Aek , one with hat,  recognized me after all those years and shocked me that he remembered I used to take Art for massage. Assured me that art should show at any time  and indeed soon enough he walked , noticed me and made massage sign with his hands . Obviously I was not anonymous visitor any more. Both gentlemen earned red note each and since I had other plans for tonight I exchanged phone numbers with Art and invited him for massage  during day in my room tomorrow.
I did not wait for the show as I was supposed to meet another member, aussie_ in @home bar in Jomtien Complex so I rushed there , parked myself in that bar , asked nice mamas an if he expect Z to return ( he had no idea ) and soon aussie_ showed up for a news exchange.  It was a while since we talked last time so we had a lot to catch on, he also pointed that on the ground floor of View Talay 1 is German restaurant Jurgens serving western fare which was precious information as I started develop fatigue with rice and Thai dishes, missing schnitzel and rye bread.
Much later we parted our ways , agreeing to meet tomorrow in Boyztown . I wanted to get N before his shop will close and shortly I surprised him by showing up , as I suspected week ago he did not believe I will return. 300 off fee and in few seconds we were marching to 7/11 to get some supplies in preparation for reunion which turned up to be quite stormy. No wonder , 1 week is a looooong time and we felt reunion needs to be celebrated in style .  So day 16 was ending with well deserved sweat and short breath.

Day 15
7 a.m.  in the morning next day was one of most memorable hour in my entire life. I opened eyes, sober already but not quite present yet, turned and I saw something beautiful – naked muscular semi-god sleeping on his stomach right beside me, perky , round butt up. Stuff dreams are made of, right. Sure , fast I recalled what is going on but pleasure of that surprise will live on with me  for long time. Always gentleman I quietly went to the bathroom trying not to disturb his well deserved sleep but soon he knocked door and joined me in the shower. We had a bit to catch on and we did so his tip had some merit
And it was very pleasant morning, then breakfast and he left as he was supposed to  report to work. As soon as he left , moment of enlightenment dawned on me. Soviet , boy  few years ago I was sitting with at Dreamboys Pattaya  and next day found him as masseur at Royal House there.  He was great guy to extend I even recommended him to one of our members. Yesterday he mentioned Dreamboys but somehow I did not connect dots. It seems world is small, what a reunion !
Another lazy, luxury room oiled day. At 3.30 p.m.  I was expecting T who showed on the dot, messaged me from the parking and we went to MahaNakhon as I promised yesterday to take him there. It short walk from hotel. Visibility was great again, he was bit reluctant to step on the glass but finally he braved in. as most boys I took there he was more interested in taking pictures than admiring spectacular after all, view. Of course I showed him famous 74 floor washroom with the view and there was where he smiled.
After that we had a meal in one of restaurants by Chong Nonsi station, task he seemed more interested in than just completed  visit in the skies and than I asked if he wants to see my  stamp collection and instant approval indicated that it was move he expected as he gave me even time frame. So off we went to have a good time , he even tried my glasses. It was dark when he left. Warmed up I went to Jupiter, had a drink there and after hour I left. Few customers , strange  format with guys in the shadows after half hourly parade, I think I’m really biased against that bar and never feel it’s my place even if boys there are all prime beef, boyfriend , husband and son-in-law material. Perhaps I’m not and it’s why am not so enthusiastic. Readers please ignore my grumbling , it’s great bar with great staff , it’s just me who doesn’t feel at home there like in other bars like HotMale , my next destination.
I caught with the show , today three Monlight models only present –Tum, Nicky and Smart with notable absence of Babe and Nut. There was big c*-**k show with 4 participants, things are getting back to normal. Somehow still I went home empty handed , walked around Silom and Patpong and headed home where even if sober I collapsed to empty bed right away. I think subconsciously I realized that today is end of my second week and normally it would be night when I’m heading to the airport to return home. So day 15,  so memorably started,  was over.

Day 14
 
I went for breakfast alone as my companion was deep asleep and I did not have a heart to wake him up neither was willing to wait as I was hungry. When he opened eyes  we had few romantic moments before he went away collecting his tip plus 100 baht I gave him to buy something for breakfast he missed. I was quite lazy morning and afternoon for me as to prove my theory that too comfortable hotel room prevents us from going out.
It was only 3p.m. when I left and trekked to Sukhumvit soi 43 to Jey Spa. Last time I was there they were still in old, soi 41 location. Jey Spa is not easy to find as is no sign  so it’s handy to remember number  14/6 .

You will see shoes in front otherwise unassuming townhouse . I was asked about appointment but I had none as it’s not really my style  , I like to try my luck. Three guys were available , all handsome, tall  and muscular but as almost always I went for one who smiled . Ken / Mac 2 , he uses both nicks with number 2 as there are other guys with the same nicks in the shop he explained. Chiang Mai native so we had point to start conversation since  I just returned from there. Hour and half massage 900, minimum  tip 1500 I was informed  and up we went to a quite nice and spacious room.
Massage was  good and very professional and afters were not initiated until massage part was done.  Great encounter, worth repeat and LT option investigation but  I had other plans for today so took with me only great and sweet memory.
Straight from there I went to Sabaidee for reunion with T after week being away from Bangkok. This time I went only for 1 hr session as I was well massage already and we had plans to throw another party at the shop tonight. What nicely surprised me , it turned out that for 1 hr. massage he has quite different   routine than for longer term and  I enjoyed that change.
I gave him some money,  few boys went to purchase meat for barbecue, others were sent to buy a case or two of Chang and soon good time was had by all, including lady who are working there as cleaner, later rewarded with 500 tip just for being nice, after all Christmas is near, no?
Out of few boys tasked with meat preparation I noticed one particularly skilled nicked Tata. It was obvious he knows what to do and enjoyed it. Later on,  when we seat together he revealed he was cook in Thai restaurant in Amsterdam for  few years and it showed. It was great night, perhaps even greater then first one as we knew each other bit better and no, there was nothing sensual or erotic , just normal  eat , drink and be merry gathering.  I learned a lot about their lives and they asked about mine.
There was new boy , not seen last time , who admitted openly he was a gay, not that it  shocked anybody. His name is Soviet, which sounded bit familiar and I’m not talking about historical and political stuff. Anyways as night was drawing , bottles ,  plates and my pocket emptying   at one point it was time to go home.
Since farang i.e. me seemed quite drunk and rightly so guys tasked Soviet with delivering me home. Sure I was drunk but not that drunk not to ask if he will stay with me till morning assuring him that while my pockets are almost empty , I have some compensation funds in my room available. So we were packed into called taxi , waved good bye and went home.
It needs to be said that I don’t remember much of how day 14 finished  but it finished anyways with me falling asleep literally in Soviet embraces. Perhaps  even my last thought was ‘ easy money tonight for you Mr. Soviet”
 

Day 13
S was not rushing in the morning , patiently accompanied me to a breakfast and finally last embraces, kiss , pat on the bum and he was gone , phone and other treasures secured in his bag. Nothing emotional and I liked it like that, we both did our part and parted our ways happy.
Question how to get to the airport was solved surprisingly easy, as soon as I stepped outside hotel’s gate songtaew stopped delivering some guest and his daughter, asked 50 baht to the airport and soon I was there, well before intended time but day was pleasant so I could wait basking in the sun.
S sent me line saying that I forgot to tip him for last night, yeah, right , nice try answered I, remember our agreement from previous morning and answer of sticker with blinking eye  came right away so we knew it was just a joke.
Flight to BKK was uneventful and visibility was good, we circled city and landed from sea side , attached below is picture of Chao Praya joining the sea taken from approach.
 

 
 
My hotel this time was Furama Sathorn close to Chong Nonsi BTS, bit hidden in the side soi and again I abused covid situation of depressed prices by splurging on Executive Suite. 1300 baht with breakfast for 2 , perhaps 1/3 of normal price for such a room. Separate living room with kitchenette ,  bedroom , balcony and full washroom with shower and tube accessible from both living room and bedroom, in short almost like an appartment.

Bell boy face looked somewhat familiar and he also looked at me with some interest, later on after intensive brain work I realized that I saw him working at Moonlight few years ago, fact he confirmed when I discretely asked. Impressive part is we never met but still both managed to remember our faces.
 After I settled  I took  motorsai to soi Pluk Chit but no, not to see T at Sabaidee but to meet ChristianPFC after long 2 years absence. We had a lot to catch on so I had some soup in one of stalls and we moved to my room to continue. After  catching with what’s new and old and admiring new unusual denominated  30 000 riel commemorative hybrid ( paper  with transparent plastic window ) note he brought for me from Cambodia we   went to survey massage places at Silom Plaza .
Few acceptable guys at Best Massage at ground floor , we also went up to Arena but at that time , past 8 p.m. it was already closed. Then to Hot Male just recently opened. One of guys on the scene was Ah-poo, guy I spot on apps and  was exchanging messages last week on Line , one who used ‘boy services” description instead of more crude money boy.
We couldn’t  align our timing then but now was a chance. I liked his picture and even more original on the scene so I called him over, showed on my smartphone our  conversations which he easily recalled, 500 off fee and soon we were marching to the hotel where nobody blinked an eye seeing us. Great Cambodian night crowning day 13.

Day 11
 We had breakfast together, then I packed my meagre possessions and taking advantage of my newest friend’s motorsai  we went to my new digs – impressively named and even  more impressively looking  Phor Liang Meun Terracotta Arts Hotel in small alley 1 block from Chiang Mai gate. In normal times I likely would be to stingy to rent room there but covid times are depressing hotel prices exponentially so  even such beauty and luxury become affordable at 1200 , breakfast included. Since after last night there was no doubt that S will be my companion for next 2 I checked him in and he got his own door card as there was no way I let him to sleep at home even if he is married with a child. Specially  with such modest tip expectations, right?

When we settled in he suggested that we visit electronic shop as he wanted to check some new phone model so we went , remember WE have a vehicle. Phone in question had price tag of  13000 but now was on promotion for 12000. I was even asked if I like it, how thoughtful. But no, at no time suggestion was made I should chip in because as Ecclesiast says it is time for everything , for laughter and cry , for sowing and harvest and so on. Then we parted ways string in knowledge that I will come to Classic for massage with somebody else but take him home afterwards.
I continued with my tourist program, visiting temple after temple and when I got too spiritual I decided to bring myself to the level by going to Sanctuary Spa, not far from my hotel, easy to find as it’s facing moat close to SuanPrung gate.
Entry is bit forested with ample greenery. It was only one guy on duty, others could be called in but no need since guy was handsome, tall  , muscular and bulgy. I always say all we need is 1 bar and 1 guy in it so decided to try my wisdom. Fee was   1000 baht for 1.5 hr session, min tip the same and off we went.
Both massage and afters were outstanding , truly were so tip was increased to 1500 and we parted ways both smiling. If I was not engaged with S , there was another candidate.
But I like S. and after all that sightseeing I kind of miss him so slowly but surely I walked again to Classic where S din not even bother to present himself as it was known that today is somebody else’s turn. Mamasan reminded me that 5 massages are getting 6th free and since tomorrow is my last day he suggests 4 hands. Today it was B, the body builder.
That was pleasure to extend that I asked him to come to my hotel during day tomorrow handing him over hotel’s business card  and my Line. S was waiting in the wings but when we were done he  confidently emerged and soon after motorsaied me to a dinner.
During which suggestion , mind you,  just suggestion was made we can go to the mall to do some shopping. Not that I need to buy anything but obviously he did so I just tagged along. We had a good luck as some Adidas shoes were on sale and so were jeans but of course nothing stopped US from buying 2 pairs of shoes , jeans shorts and jacked . WE bought , I paid but I kind of  had fun witnessing how I’m manipulated into opening my heart and wallet . Even now recalling it I smile. Truth is all those good were good value for quite a modest price and I thought in view of night past and future, worth the expense.
Now we know what  low LT tip means, LOL. There was pressing need for a belt for another 1200 but despite shining eyes, my short ‘no’ did the trick and pressure eased down. In the room all goodies were arrested and I told him he will get them on day of my departure as I don’t want him to poke them into eyes of his friends in Classic as long as I’m here. He got the concept.
Before you call me old fool etc let me tell you that now my fun started and I would be ungrateful asshole if  I did not state that I was greatly rewarded  for my troubles all night long, it’s why I smile. Even skillful suggestion I will buy him that phone tomorrow did not spoil my fun. I think this is what happens when guy makes sure you like him. So my day 11 , busy and expensive turned still to be memorable and full filled , fuck the money.

Visited Jupiter at 10:00pm last night, show was about to start, 10-12 customers, 10-11 boys available, ratio wise this is the highest I have seen during my trip so far where customer number exceeds boys count. To top that 4 of them were girls and 1 wealthy customer who had one of those table occupied with lot of boys and whiskey bottle
Most of the boys are top or straight acting  (so they say), 3 of them were immediately offed by a table with 2 girls and 2 guys. 2 other boys were already booked by wealthy guy, leaving less offering on the table for others
Nonetheless not too much loss for me as I already had something arranged for later this evening though wanted to check out how this bar has changed as my experience at Jupiter has been mixed.
Anyway, paid 180 Bhat and off to Hotmale to see their model show, only 3 models available tonight, tempted to call "XYZ" (name changed due to privacy) looks very handsome, drinks 400 Bhat for me and for model/ any guy (no difference here). He speaks very little English so conversation was little difficult though that gives an opportunity to convey message with hands 
He's pure top and therefore things won't work between us but he was happy to offer oral experience with happy ending for 2K bhat (short time), while I love his nipples and very sensitive to touch (money on drinks worth spent), I would rather stick with full service so politely declined. He referred another guy who was cute but since I had an arrangement already so decided to stay with it. 
Got a text from my arrangement that he's waiting at hotel lobby so paid my bill (800 for drinks and 200 tip for our wonderful model) and called it a night.

I learnt that if you respect the boy and threat them nicely and being polite with them they usually will threat you the same , Unfortunately most of their clients only want mechanical sex and the experience is robotic indeed.
 
 

Day 8 .  
It went without saying that we will have repeat  of the day  and night today. I don’t even remember who said it first but it was obvious. Tip was increased substantially as good work should be rewarded properly . Breakfast in French restaurant  on the corner, very cheerful waitress who seemed to like N very much thank you and I was pretending I don’t  notice it. Quite sumptuous with signature crispy fresh baguettes , I liked it very much, tasty , classy and filling. He went to his room and then to gym, I chose internet exercises in the room. As mentioned before I was subject of massive attack from that Grindr  guy  and tried to fend his messages off until around noon got tired and decided finally to go to Pattaya proper.
Rest of daylight was spent walking about and it was quite depressing sight with all those shops and restaurants boarded or at least closed. Walking street completely dead bar one survivor – 7/11. On another hand signs of clinging to life were encouragingly numerous, I had a dinner in newly opened kebab restaurant on 2nd street.  Few massages were opened with guys anxiously waiting for customers, a lot of walker along Beach Rd and girls ubiquitous, forced to take their trade to the streets with bars closed but generally Pattaya was bit depressing sight with devastation much more pronounced that in Bangkok.
Alt Heidelberg closed but Berliner café and Salt and Pepper still operating. Few quite big hotels closed, in others only few windows were lit. Surprisingly exchange rates in few still opened places were at least as good as in Swampy’s basement by train station. Sunee – dead, those complaining in the past about Arabs racing motorbikes now have their day, sois quiet like pre-pandemic funeral home.  Boyztown, dead zone with only Scandic opened with 3 guys on duty , one of them veteran of many years there. But baht busses still 10 baht. Internet café in soi post office still opened and tailor in Pattayaland also did not give up. Not as cheerful like before but still standing.
So Pattaya girls and boys are not giving up, no matter what trade they are in.
It was darkening when I returned to Complex , straight to N’s shop for massage and right after I extracted him from there by way of paying 300 off fee and we went to Agate greeted by knowing smile of lady at reception. If last night was steamy , this one , my last in Pattaya for now ,   was nothing short of volcano , geyser,  earthquake e.t.c. I think people of certain age should conduct themselves with  more dignity and modesty   but since nobody was watching us    I took  an option to be young again with quite a success ending day 8 well stretched and exercised.

Perhaps but in few cases I'd give them some allowance for feelings. The same way we look at their physical attributes but also smile and personality , they are not different. Money speaks but at times  I have feeling some of them like us for what we are too and why not ?.
Same same like boys,  customers may be robotic , cum and go types but others warm and engaging and guys may appreciate it on pure human level. 

I am still learning from the guys and how they are doing their business. Tonight I learned something new. 
I used to be a complete social butterfly on my previous trips to BKK - preferred no repeat policy. But two guys have changed me on this trip. I would usually wake up in the mornings with Line messages from both of them "What are you doing today?" or "Will you see me today?" Of course, I am aware that what they really want to see is my wallet rather than myself. Since they both have been very nice, with great physical features and no rushing attitude, I have been meeting them 2-3 times each already. I was supposed to meet one of them tonight, but at the last minute, he asked me if i could wait until 1 am (instead of our original appointment at 11 pm). As much as I was frustrated, I understood that his goal is to maximize his nightly income. I was indeed planning to bring him and one mamasan to Pullman King Power seafood buffet tomorrow night for a "farewell" dinner. he knows that i have already made a reservation. when i said no i wouldnt be able to wait until 1 am, he stumbled. 
Then I texted immediately to Jupiter mamasan. Luckily, mamasan was able to send me a boy of my choice from Jupiter promptly. the boy was already in my room within next 15 minutes. He has a handsome face and muscular body, but I was not prepared to see an appendage with a few foreign bodies embedded underneath the skin. he turned out to have a cheerful personality. he was able to make me forget the other guy who did not keep his promise...  sometimes things happened for a reason.

Day 7
I did not sleep well for some reason and waked up as early as 5 am. Decided to utilize that time to check apps, novelty for me. This is my first trip to Thailand when I brought smartphone,  installed Horner, Romeo and Grindr when I was locked on my first day  waiting for test results and glanced there from time to time. Another new thing was Line which fast become my main  mode of communication this trip.
Actually quite fast I found somebody who looked I may like him so sent inquiry if he is interested to have breakfast together, remember it was still early . Yes,   so we settled on time and soon after  I parked myself in front of still closed Dicks only to find that my guy is marching right away. Turned he lives in high-rise across the street.
 I liked his face , conversational English acquired from YouTube university by his own admission, quite muscular, certainly notch above twink. So we settled on length of meeting and compensation and after breakfast we  marched in the room . My first ever apps experience turned out very enjoyable at least when ‘in the room’ part was concerned. Now I started to understand why some member swear by apps. Boys available at any time, no drinks and bar fees, easy deal.
Turned out yes and no. Soon after  he left I start being bombarded with inquiry about when our next meeting will be , long time   offer / request. When answer were vague , ‘what I did wrong?” question followed   and shortly from interesting novelty whole thing become nuisance. Yes I know I could block him but wanted to see what will happen which was a bit unwise as he knew where I live, after all he just visited me and at one  point I thought it may even lead to a scene in the hotel but fortunately things did not go that far. Pestering continued for few days even when I already left Pattaya.
 I must admit over all my first apps experience was VERY mixed as every minute I logged in , message from desperate nuisance was arriving. Anyways lesson learned and I allowed  for it to carry for a while to learn that lesson. If not interested either block him right away or at least ignore him messages, answer only those which may lead to something promising in the future. Since he was nice, well built and behaving guy if not those tactics chances were he could land few more orders from me, by being pushy he squandered that opportunity. When I returned to Pattaya he was already blocked and removed from the view.
But all that happened later. As I admitted  , session was good and soon after he left , warmed up by apps guy I decided to check on masseur I surprised with tip last evening.
Few steps to his shop and yes , he was there smiling broadly seeing that mysterious and generous farang i.e. me. 1 1/2 hr massage ordered for  450 and I was glad to see I’m in good hands. The same as T used oil sparingly and was warming it in his hands before applying to my carcass, way it’s supposed to be done.
By the way I can say it now, during this whole trip I did not have even one massage where  I would be soaked in oil like it used to happen often in the past. Either my good luck or guys improved their skills indeed.
It did not take much time to be obvious that we have some chemistry and it was quite steam generating. I liked him , his massage,  muscles and manly face  but he also sensed it very well that I do so it did not take much time before inquiry about my room and visit  in it was made. Of course I jumped with long time suggestion which was taken matter of factly and quite modest tip for it was suggested ( 2000 ). After session we both emerged visibly happy, fact which did not escape boss and other boys in the place. Promised to take him home later as I was scheduled to have  a dinner with two farang friends,  Gaybutton and R. ,  one of members of his board.
First we had nice chat in friends place , then gentlemen suggested some venue which turned out very good choice with international cuisine. Name escaped me but if Gaybutton will read this post he will help me. Even in those times place was full but somehow we managed to take last available  table and soon after  we were treating ourselves with conversation and yummy food. I went entirely Russian with borstch ( beetroot soup) ,  strogonov    and hot tea to have a bit break from Asian fare. Great afternoon turned to great evening as it was dark when we left. After we dropped R at his place Gaybutton wanted to survey goings in the Complex and I gladly accompanied him if only to show off N, my newly  acquainted masseur friend.
After  last night closure , tonight Complex bars were opened and gearing for busy night.
It was only 7.30 when we shook hands in front of N’s shop , agreed to have another dinner when I will be back , I paid 300 off fee and took N  home to Agate. It was great encounter, one of those rare excellent imitations of boyfriend experience with not much sleep but  a lot of sweat,  you get the picture and if not, take my word for it. Can’t even say when day 7 finished and day 8 started because I was busy enjoying  N’s company.

Unfortunately very similar incident happened to me last year lovely Vietnamese boy I met via Grindr in Bangkok agreed to be with me about ten days visit in Pattaya after 4 nights he claimed that his Vietnamese roommate in Silom left with no money and he have to leave me but I suspect he was his boyfriend who made big jeulosy scene so he had no choice but to go back to him. These things happen in life and we can do anything about it. The good news is that after a week we met again in my week travel at Ayutthaya and Kanchanaburi and he stayed with me the whole period I suspect lack of money convinced his boyfriend that there is no choice but to let him to do long term with a client.

Day 6
Early collapse to bed of course resulted in very early rise in middle of the night. I made my tea, admired another sky full of stars, combed apps and Line and went to bed again only to rise in broad daylight at 8 and see completely blue sky. There’s no doubt that December is very good months to come to Thailand when comes to weather.
Since Raya  is not providing breakfast those days , likely to mixture of renovation and low load I went to have mine  at world famous , 7.5 Michelin stars etc Foodland , luckily managed to order mine just before 9 saving whooping 16 over regular 81 baht price, yahoo!!
Some walks in neighborhood , Line message from T that he is unable to go with me ( I smell his girlfriend hand in that but really I did not mind being stood by such a hunk anyways ) and exactly at noon I left   for an airport to take Pattaya bus from there as it’s more convenient  than Ekkamai one , chiefly because it avoids Bangkok traffic  and in last few trips I always take it  either way regardless if I stay in Boyztown or Jomtien Complex.
It’s easier to get  baht bus from and to Jomtien  than one from and to North Pattaya bus station. I don’t know about airport but in Pattaya you can buy tickets one day in advance i.e. today for tomorrow. And if one lives in Jomtien Complex it only short walk to and from bus station beside of each is supermarket selling a lot of western foods by the way including rye bread and cottage cheese / sort of / .
As I mentioned I was planned to stay in Copa in Boyztown  but since they did not reopen yet Agate was my choice and that was good one. They just re-opened  and there  were few guests at time of my stay, no breakfast provided at the moment.  View from the window and balcony was were pleasant one with pool and wall of greenery 3 stores high  behind it.
I did the walk  around Complex few bars were opened with few eye catching boys working already in them , few massages with boys waiting for clients outside . In one  adjacent to French restaurant on the corner I spot muscular, brown skinned hunk in singlet and while passing  by I just slipped casually 100 baht into his hand without a word or even glance. Going away I could hear whisper of surprise from guy and his friends. We will hear about that specimen soon.
In the evening Z909  and me were supposed to do survey of bars in the Complex  but as soon as we attempted to sit at @ home bar we were chased away . It was police van parked three bars away. Soon  all of alley was immersed in the darkness as they ordered everything to close. Apparently new police chief whim. 
With Boyztown and Sunee in darkness as well  we did not have much choice then visit 7/11 to buy some beers and have a talk over them on my balcony. That was end of my day 6.

I just returned from Thailand where I had numerous massages and other close connection contacts with young( 23-33 )  part of male Thai population. While most massage places and bars are posting something about having premises sterilized and staff vaccinated I did not bother with neither following on that  nor  being worried.
My logic is I'm vaccinated in order not to be afraid of other people. Or like I said to my cousin ;" Margaret,  if somebody must be sick , it better you than me ".
So far it seems to be working.
I'd find close encounter , with either masseur or regular bar off in masks weird and asking about status  fun killing so I took calculated risk of not bothering about either. 
So my advice to Londoner and other with similar and it must to be admitted,  valid concerns. Ease up your worries and let them go or stay home. Otherwise your vacation will become nightmarish string of worries with every person you encounter potential killer. That is not a receipt for happy holidays.
If you are longing for reunion with P, just go and stay with him somewhere leaving massages and other debaucheries for future  trip.
Good news is that 100% of population is wearing masks , if in 25 days I saw 30 people on street without mask that's it. And all of them seem to be western slobs, mainly in Pattaya. So my guess risk of catching something in LOS is the same as catching something on the plane or airport.
Just go and have fun.

Day 3
Today I need to trade lightly as historically speaking day 3 is for me worst day of jet lag. I mentioned it before, older I’m I seem to take long flights better and better abut jet lags seem to ruin my days worse and worse. One I almost feel asleep standing on the BTS train and it was scary.
After 130 baht buffet breakfast at Quarter Silom I went to exchange money at XOne in Suriwong, usually they have one of best rates and are very accommodating to request for smaller denomination. Having enough  of small notes eliminates need to wait for change , never problem in stores but sometimes in bars when it is not unknown that one hands over 1000 to be given change from 500 etc.
 So I like to stock on those 20, 50, and 100’s . In fact I came will prepared carrying in my luggage stack of 4900 baht in 20 ties. Went to buy 2000 in my local exchange , they had only those denominations and I told them I will clear all they have. So out of 10000 or so I asked to get 4000 in 100’s , cheap way to feel rich.
Next step is MahaNakhon as it was 10 am , opening hour. This was when dearth of tourists was in plain unobstructed view . Senior ticket 250 , regular weekdays 530, weekends 880. On top at that hour was grand total of   3 of us only me braving to the glass. View was bit hazy but still splendid, good introduction to Bangkok charms and sights. What I notices traffic on the river was much reduced  with very few boats plying the waters.
Up alone , down alone, back on the street after hour there with obligatory visit to the washroom,  truly toilet with the view in the best sense of the word. It’s a must before one boards down elevator as it’s on the same floor.
Back to the room, quick packing and off to Raya. Some of you know I like to change hotels every 2-3 days , I just wanted to see how Quarter Silom is and I liked it although at the moment they seem to cash on novelty and in fact I paid more for the room there than for much bigger and   better appointed one  in Raya. Location is great , particularly for Tawan lovers as its 50 steps from there. And no, nobody blinked an eye when I was marching in with my guest last night.
 While Quarter seemed busy , Raya did not but still asked me to wait until 2 before I could check in , I was mentally prepared for it so left luggage and went to have a bite or two in world famous, Michelin start awarded etc , Foodland Patpong.
Back in the room combed apps a bit for fun of it , noticed one guy I liked had a profile with Line Id so contacted him that way. I liked his Line response ‘ I’m boy services” , sounds much more classy and upscale than ‘ money boy ‘. Anyways it turned he is in Pattaya now but we agreed we will meet later on.
At 5 p.m.  I went to soi Pluk Chit, place where Sabaidee and Sancturary Spa are on the ground floors of neighboring buildings. Is not that far, just 1 MRT / subway/ stop from Silom, you alight at Lumpini station and when on the street you will see overpass crossing main street 4 minutes away. When you cross it go in the same direction and after 100 meter you will see  busy soi. That’s Pluk Chit. Lots of food stalls , some selling other items (on another occasion I bought some socks and underwear there ), no farang in sight , very Thai even if it’s literally steps from main thoroughfare.   Sabaidee is in parking garage under first high-rise, beside it is small Thai restaurant , great chicken with cashew nuts I learned on another occasion. Sanctuary in on ground level of second high-rise , entrance will hidden behind greenery.
My mission was to find hunk I saw picture of on Sabaidee’s Line feed. Mamasan called guys available , all handsome ,  muscular  and smiling friendly. Second from the left looked as mine goal but since I’m notoriously bad reading people from pictures I pulled my phone to confirm it’s him.
It’s how  I found T, one of heroes of my trip it turned out.
1 hr 700, 1.5 hr 1000 for the shop, minimum tip respectively 1000 and 1500.ine 1 hr is always rushed I almost universally settle on 1.5 hr course , with such  a hunk it would be unthinkable to do otherwise anyways.
Massage was professional  and strong. I knew I’m in good hands because he did not pour oil over me but on his hands first as it supposed to be done. Towel did not last long either. Tipped extra, promised to return tomorrow, not much English but Google translate helped. Issan native as confirmed by the size of a part Issan guys are famous for , in short great find.
 Evening trip to newly re-opened Fresh Boys,  few boys in jeans on the stage . I understand staff in restaurants must be dressed properly. All twinks so not exactly my field but distributed some red notes including friendly mamasan I recall from soi Twilight. No , not Lucy , I did not see Lucy this trip at all. Asked her about Lucky Boys but she said  she doubts it will be opened any time soon , on another hand confirmed that Hot Male re-opening is matter of few days which turned correct and also mentioned Tawan will be re-opening in new location across the soi from old one soon.
 From there to Jupiter, more boys than customers. Boys handsome like hell but I don’t like that bar’s modus  operandi. Guys sitting on the phones in the shadows, every 1/2 hour making parade, fully dressed as restaurant stuff should be but one or two removed their tops and paraded bare chested. I can live with that part but somber unsmiling face expression is  put off for me, I know that is what management wants but how one can assess whether boys is interested or no if it’s so hard to get an eye contact. Of course red note produces short smile, specially those days of sparse customer base. It was shock  for me to see that one guy across is actually of  smiling broadly at me. We will met him later on but tonight I went to Raya empty handed.
Few word about Raya, renovation should be completed soon with new façade. Works did not bother me at all as I spent days outside. Only inconvenience  is need to use elevator in the back , usually acting as service elevator. They organized it well , there’s always somebody  on duty to steer you there.
It was few years since I was staying there last but rooms are still well maintained , spacious and spotless, same, same before. Staying on 6th floor I had privacy by being able to by-pass 5th floor reception entirely. Jet lag ravaged but well massaged I collapsed on the bed ending my day 3.
 

While I don't quite consider myself a fearless traveller, the thing that has so far put me off making firm plans to visit is the risk of quarantine either in Thailand or on return, not the risk of catching Covid.
This Bloomberg story dated 16 December 2021 says 43.8 million second shots have been administered, with another 4.4 million booster shots. Out of a population of 69 million, the 43.8 million with second shots represent 63%. The story further says that "At the current pace of vaccinations, the country should reach 90% coverage by March".
Given these numbers, even if massage parlours don't visibly declare their staff to be fully vaccinated, the chance of meeting an unvaccinated person is low, and getting lower.
I would also bear in mind that a vaccinated person can transmt the virus -- for why else do we have an Omicron surge in Western countries despite their high vaccination rate? It would therefore seem to be just a matter ot time before we bump into someone who is going to transmit it to us. Even people who have recovered from Covid-19 have come down a second and third time! I think we have to resign ourselves to the high likelihood that we will get it.
The good news is that so far, Omicron appears, despite its high transmissibility, to cause less severe symptoms. Virologists would say this is entirely expected. Viruses tend to evolve towards greater transmissibility but lower lethality.

Day 2
But not for long as shortly after 5 in the middle of said 10 million city I was waked up by the sound of crowing cock, no kidding. Somebody in the neighborhood must keep some on his balcony or something. For me it felt like afternoon already due to jet lag so again I did some computerizing and smartphoning waiting for my breakfast to be delivered. Soon after I packed and took motorsai taxi  to my next step   - Quarter Silom , new hotel steps from Tawan.
Hotels in Thailand now are extremely good value due to lack of travelers but that one seemed as an exception, parking was full, lobby was crowded and reception told me that I can’t check in before 2 pm as no rooms are available. Fine. I left luggage   with them and went to see covid damage done to the Patpong area. Not a pretty sign. Patpong itself quiet with all bars , shops and restaurants including my beloved Madrid closed. Patpong 2 the same , only Foodland with it’s world famous , 7 Michelin stars awarded restaurant opened as before but almost empty anyways. Suriwong the same , many shops closed or even boarded, Silom a bit better but still depressed. Soi Thaniya only shadow of herself. Former BBB Inn on Rama boarded and decaying, ready to be demolished perhaps.
 Soi Twilight boarded high. Former Oasis restaurant closed , still after 4 years. Another new hotel ‘ 56 Suriwong “ arisen, Thaniya Plaza renovated so some places are not wasting a good crisis and sprucing up but generally it looked bit sad. Tawan closed , Sun massage beside the same but few massage shpos in that soi on the stretch closer to Silom , inclusion Prime and Thai Prime opened as before.
 After being able to check in I did so. Rooms are not very spacious abut very well organized  and I like Quarter quite a bit, perhaps more than similar Red Planed on Suriwong. They even have  a pool and serve buffet breakfast as well  at 130 unless included in the room rate / mine was not /.   500 baht refundable deposit on check in.
In the afternoon I decided to see how Sukhumvit area is coping so went there. Located Jey Spa in soi 43. No sign so one needs to know address 14/6 soi 43 , shoes at entrance are betraying it’s busy place . I did not go there yet. In Soi 23 went to check if Urban Male is still there – it was not. Soi Cowboy sharing Patpong’s fate.
 In the afternoon in hotel I met other member , 10tazione who also lived there and we went to soi 4 where I had an opportunity to meet his boy special. When it got dark we went to Dreamboys. It turned out my last night companion works actually there, strange that Jupiter charged me off fee for him last night but oh , well.
He tried to sit beside me  but I was not too keen on carrying conversation still smarting over that short time charge from last night. There was the show and quite explicit at that with big c***k show being part of it. Yes , Johnny is still there, energetic dancer as always. After show boys filled stage , all dressed in jeans and t-shirt.
One of them , if I recall number 38 being extremely cute twink so without hesitation I decided to cross the border , called and offed him  before somebody else could. Gap is his name and I can recommend him with whole heart. No long time material though as he has full time job. But great guy and true asset of that bar. World must be coming to an end if vinapu is bringing twinks home and is very happy about an experience  thought I
walking him to a taxi thus finishing my day 2 . 
 

I agree with 18past19, now  one has feeling of having  country to himself.  There are visitors  but nowhere in overwhelming numbers, even Chao Praya Tourist Boat had choice of seats  whenever one wanted. Thais  finally have country to themselves but that's mixed blessing as we can imagine.

Then no other time could be better than now. you could get the whole Ayutthaya to yourself. only a handful of visitors at most famous places i went yesterday with the exception of Wat Phanan Choeng where there were a lot of locals paying homage. 

I guess now it’s time for usual day to day update of my trip. Some repeats will be necessary as I’m too lazy to spend much time polishing text so bear with me.
Short lived ‘Test and go “ scheme served me very well and we hope it will be re-instated soon but trip was not only matter of luck but also utilizing it. Long ago I decided that as long as quarantine will be eliminated or shortened to max 2 days I jump into plane ASAP. So when it happened  it took me only few hours to complete documents , do the bookings of planes , hotels and tests.
I may try to repeat the feast if scheme will return even if for shorter period of time. First few months of year are not really me travelling time as greed prevails due to much increased opportunities to   earn some spending cash.
For quarantine hotel I had chosen Centre Point Riverview Silom and looking back it was wise decision. Knowing I will be locked I was looking for big room with balcony and a view. They had it all with Executive Suite, as it turned out complete with washing machine and microwave. Location steps  from BTS SaphanTaksin proved beneficial when I was released about hour before bars are closing / 11 pm now/ .
It was costly at about 5200 baht but not when one considers that I paid 4600 baht for pre-departure test at home so for me  it looked like for 600 baht I had transport from airport, spacious room and 3 meals a day.
Nice gesture was to allow me to check in early ,even if  my plane arrived at 6 am , I was advised when asked that booking should be done for 1 night only
As noted before arrival was very smooth, documents checked before lining up for immigration, taxi from hotel was handily waiting and it did not take much more than hour from landing to be already in the hotel to start  solitary confinement of my:
Day 1
On admission I asked to skip today’s breakfast as I was well fed by Swiss and opted for next day breakfast instead. Waiting to be called for test I despoiled after long trip, did some laundry ( I travel light so usually my first thing in hotel when travel is to wash my shirt and undergarments ) drying which was easy as washroom was equipped with laundry line.
In Swampy I bought SIM card so installed Grindr and Romeo in addition to already installed Hornet and to kill time combed through offerings there. At 10.30 knock to door from the staff inviting me to go to    the testing area  on the roof. I was told results will arrive up to next morning. Tasty lunch delivered around noon, then I fell to jet lag and slept till 6 when another knock  waked me up announcing equally tasty dinner. It was 9.55 p.m. when I got  a call from reception that results are in and I’m free man again. 10 minutes later I was already on the Saphan Taksin platform and soon after , after 2 years of absence I was pounding pavements of my beloved Silom again.
Since it was Sunday evening and in pandemic time it was rater quiet and in one of massage shops I noticed very handsome masseur playing with cat. Perhaps I should stop there but  fate dragged me to soi 4 which is kind of sarcasm as I never really liked it. But now with Jupiter , only one of three bars opened others being Dreamboys and Fresh Boys     there was no place to be picky. Beer at Jupiter was cheap at 150 which lasted till before Christmas and now is at more  “normal” 400 so I got mine and noticed few guys drinking beside , one of them familiar face of one of Moonlight’ s go-gos I never offed but tipped few times for  a good looks. Smile and signalized my interest but he gestured that he is with that company.
Did not worry me as it was first out if 25 nights but fate had it , shortly after they all left he returned with knowing smile. It turned out he in not Jupiter guy , just visiting his friends there to have a drink, is willing to check my stamp collection. So I paid off fee of 500 and we went. No not to Centre Point but to Furama Silom as when booking originally I was not sure what will happen with my early check in and took advantage of cheap rates those days , booked 1 night at Furama just in case.
Not a long walk  and soon we were there. Reception asked for 1000 baht deposit, gave us a key and up we went to have our fun, short time one for which I was asked to fork 3000. How it came to it ? walking I asked about long time , 3000, answer was 3000 is for a short time. After 2 years I was in no mood to haggle. Fun we had and he is nice and very well built man but  also resolve came that we met twice – first  and last at the same time. No repeat as Christian PFC use to say .
When he left , soon did I collecting my deposit left 3 hrs ago and walked all the way to Centre Point past 2 at night through completely empty streets with rats being busy here and there but no soul in sight. And I thought “ where in the world on his 1st day tourist can walk at almost 3 am through empty street in the middle of 10 million strange city and feel completely safe and relaxed “ ? Try that in Paris, London, Rio , Nairobi or even Flint , Michigan.  Long live Bangkok , long live Thailand. Slept  without A/c , with open windows, just like summer at home. And that’s how I finished day 1.
 

Visited Jupiter at 10:00pm last night, show was about to start, 10-12 customers, 10-11 boys available, ratio wise this is the highest I have seen during my trip so far where customer number exceeds boys count. To top that 4 of them were girls and 1 wealthy customer who had one of those table occupied with lot of boys and whiskey bottle
Most of the boys are top or straight acting  (so they say), 3 of them were immediately offed by a table with 2 girls and 2 guys. 2 other boys were already booked by wealthy guy, leaving less offering on the table for others
Nonetheless not too much loss for me as I already had something arranged for later this evening though wanted to check out how this bar has changed as my experience at Jupiter has been mixed.
Anyway, paid 180 Bhat and off to Hotmale to see their model show, only 3 models available tonight, tempted to call "XYZ" (name changed due to privacy) looks very handsome, drinks 400 Bhat for me and for model/ any guy (no difference here). He speaks very little English so conversation was little difficult though that gives an opportunity to convey message with hands 
He's pure top and therefore things won't work between us but he was happy to offer oral experience with happy ending for 2K bhat (short time), while I love his nipples and very sensitive to touch (money on drinks worth spent), I would rather stick with full service so politely declined. He referred another guy who was cute but since I had an arrangement already so decided to stay with it. 
Got a text from my arrangement that he's waiting at hotel lobby so paid my bill (800 for drinks and 200 tip for our wonderful model) and called it a night. 
 

He is the BEST!!!!
