It hardly needs saying: Clinton was impeached for lying about sex with a White House aide.

Trump was impeached for illegally withholding Congressionally mandated financial aid, for purpose of personal political gain, to a national political ally coming under threat from their prime foe.

To make any equivalence as you did is supremely irresponsible as a US citizen & patriot.

So now I cannot have a personal opinion without being irresponsible?  Both Clinton and Trump were "cleared" politically which might seem fair since they were "indicted" politically.

The national media in general and some of the posters herein remind me of a salesman who is constantly being upbraided to do more.  In other words it does not matter what your history is, what have you done for me lately?

As some of you very well know, it does matter what has been done historically as well as yesterday.

Trump's way ahead of you, a spineless pussy as VP and a cabinet that have almost sucked the spray tan completely off his mushroom head aren't going to let that happen.

Here's the difference though, if a Democrat had gone this far off the rails, say Biden does become senile, it would be Democrats who would line up to vote to remove him.  Because, you know, the constitution and the country, not just something to SAY you support and defend.

Your argument is exactly like the "Christians" who say stuff like "without god, what stops me from murdering and raping?" and the rest of us look on in horror as we can't imagine needing an imaginary friend to make us do good things by threatening endless brutal torment if we don't...

What do you mean IF Biden becomes senile?

Irishman was interesting (also from a VFX standpoint) but it had it's own threads here and was massively promoted and featured.

What "flew under the radar" (heh) that you've enjoyed and would recommend?

I really don't watch that many movies but with the stay at home something gives. I usually watch sports but if I think of an under the radar movie I will let you know.

Oh, you mean that time he TESTIFIED UNDER OATH, like exactly NOBODY from the last two Republican administrations... and tried to be cute instead of standing up and refusing the answer the question?

Yeah, that's comparable to "we need to study injecting light and disinfectant" at the fucking presidential podium.

"Take it, what have you got to lose?"

No, I mean the time BC took the deal rather than be convicted.  A political answer for sure.

  5. I recently watched the Irishman on Netflix.  It was gruesome but interesting.  The mafia + Jimmy Hoffa, how can you go wrong?

For me one interesting scene was a charter flight where the passenger and pilot got on board (a Cessna 421C if anyone knows or cares) and started it up without benefit of fuel.  Hollyweird at work.

You are a well and long proven commercially successful global private pilot.

Your remark about Michelle above is equivalent to someone calling you nothing more than a crop-duster.

I have several crop duster friends so don't be insulting.  We all have our place or sometimes places in society.  One trick might be to not want more but to be accepting.

The party you de-facto support (while claiming immunity from their most horrific actions because technically you're a "libertarian") has a really low fucking bar here for qualifications given the Trump presidency, most members of his administration, but going back to Sarah Palin.

But to answer your question, a FUCK-TON MORE EXPERIENCE, and not just as first lady.  Start with Harvard law graduate and dean/teacher, which, would be nice to have somebody who again could speak in a complete sentence about the constitution while not outright lying about it giving them "total authority"...  but then...

    Career

Following law school, Obama became an associate at the Chicago office of the law firm Sidley & Austin, where she met her future husband Barack. At the firm, she worked on marketing and intellectual property law.[4] She continues to hold her law license, but as she no longer needs it for her work, she has kept it on a voluntary inactive status since 1993.[74][75]

In 1991, she held public sector positions in the Chicago city government as an Assistant to the Mayor, and as Assistant Commissioner of Planning and Development. In 1993, she became Executive Director for the Chicago office of Public Allies, a non-profit organization encouraging young people to work on social issues in nonprofit groups and government agencies.[26] She worked there nearly four years and set fundraising records for the organization that still stood 12 years after she left.[20] Obama later said that she had never been happier in her life prior to working "to build Public Allies".[76]

In 1996, Obama served as the Associate Dean of Student Services at the University of Chicago, where she developed the University's Community Service Center.[77] In 2002, she began working for the University of Chicago Hospitals, first as executive director for community affairs and, beginning May 2005, as Vice President for Community and External Affairs.[78]

She continued to hold the University of Chicago Hospitals position during the primary campaign of 2008, but cut back to part-time in order to spend time with her daughters as well as work for her husband's election.[79] She subsequently took a leave of absence from her job.[80]

According to the couple's 2006 income tax return, her salary was $273,618 from the University of Chicago Hospitals, while her husband had a salary of $157,082 from the United States Senate. The Obamas' total income was $991,296, which included $51,200 she earned as a member of the board of directors of TreeHouse Foods, and investments and royalties from his books.[81]

Obama served as a salaried board member of TreeHouse Foods, Inc. (NYSETHS),[82] a major Wal-Mart supplier from shortly after her husband was seated in the Senate until she cut ties shortly after her husband announced his candidacy for the presidency; he criticized Wal-Mart labor policies at an AFL-CIO forum in Trenton, New Jersey, on May 14, 2007.[83] She also served on the board of directors of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs.[84]

Nice CV but, as I said, a community organizer.

Granted. But point being that prominent public-facing First Lady position requires considerably more finesse savvy etc than head toilet-cleaner.

There is no doubt that MS. Obama has or has developed the social graces necessary to be first lady.  Does that translate into good politics?  I am not so sure.  Actually I am pretty sure the answer is NO.

Actually (not to pick too fine a bone ^_^ ) you were CEO of your own private-aviation enterprise, were you not?

Not to link any cause and effect, of course. B)

I was but others did not make me qualified.  Assuming that I was.  :)

Michelle Obama shared the White House for 8 years with the president. Not many women available for VP can claim such a close spot in history.

So did the head valet and head housekeeper but that does not make them qualified.   I have spent a LOT of time with CEO's and other wealthy folks in the back of my airplane.  We talked a lot but that does not make me qualified to be a CEO.

She is more qualified than Trump. Why would it piss you off?

According to JKANE everything about Trump is about racism.  Can we not disapprove of someone simply based upon their qualifications?  I try to observe MLKj who said judge based upon character not color (in so many words).  Mrs. Obama's political experience seems to be that of a neighborhood organizer and first lady.  There is the thought that she is racist and does not approve of the USA.  I know, perish the thought.

So, again (literally EVERY Republican presidency of my life) the Republican president has massively ballooned the debt and crashed the economy, and the Democrat will get to fix it, again, while being screamed at about the debt the entire time.

Your party is talking about bailing out the fucking OIL INDUSTRY.  Yeah, in addition to all the subsidies and environmental clean up, an actual direct cash injection.

But making sure everybody has access to fucking healthcare (especially NOW), oh hell no.

Yes, it is partisan politics as usual, and your party is on the WRONG FUCKING SIDE yet again.

My party is the Libertarians IF I have a party at all.  I have little to no respect for any pols but also not much for those who criticize only one party.

I am sorry, but I can't. He is the President and what he says matters. It should matter. He is destroying the office as we know it. To me, that matters.

I agree that every time he goes golfing and stays out of politics, the world is a better place. ;) (what he does) :)

The US (and probably the world) is facing years to overcome the effects of V19.  In some ways I fear we shall not overcome some of them (the massive debt for one). The so called partisan efforts have spent massive amounts of money that we do not have and, again, I am fearful to little help.

We cannot go back any more than there will be an "instant" recovery.  I have no wish to live in the 50's, 60's or anytime last century but I am not very happy about our prospects at the moment.

    POLS suck.

IMHO, this in itself is enough for anyone in their right mind to distance themselves from him. But, as always, (seen by Pence) they will say that is not what he meant. He is good honest man with great integrity. He is a true Christian and has no ill will toward anyone.

The best counter argument to Trump nay sayers is, "pay little to no attention to what he says, only what he does."

I don't agree with everything that he does but I do agree with much of it.

I have no intention of "reviewing" those which some call fake news sources.  There are many things I do not like that Trump says but I am willing to applaud many of the things that he does.  However, I have to think that many of pols who previously attacked our economy are still with us.  It is difficult, no?

The facts aren't hard to find, I'm so tired of "partisan truth".  Trump's only accomplishment in the early days was the China ban, by which time the states receiving direct flights had already put in screening and limits and after which something like 450,000 still traveled.

He then went to several campaign rallies and golf trips while downplaying the "China flu" as a hoax.  Ignoring dire warnings and advisories from experts for all of February and doing fuck-all in March to boot.

His circuses, I mean press conferences are often full of objective lies.  Anybody who can't take 2 seconds and instead defends them...  And we know he doesn't actually know what "billions" are as he's been lying about being a billionaire most of his life.

I think the "facts" are very difficult to find.  And, sometimes, even harder to evaluate.  But, thanks for your opinion.

He says he has. But Huffpost.com says that's a whopper. For one, the US population is about 330 million people. Read more:

    https://www.huffpost.com/entry/trump-saves-billions-us-pop-350-million_n_5e9bd2bec5b6ea335d5cb120

So the Huffpost says Trump exaggerated when he said billions of lives.  What did the Huff do when it said Trump cost countless lives?

Apparently there are enough lies and half truths to go any where any time.
