Please do post about your experience in Belo Horizonte. I am heading down to Brazil next Saturday and was thinking about doing a side trip there on my visit to SP. I'm very curious about the quality and quantity of GPs.

I went to Recife last year. The beach there is beautiful because it features a reef and it has a small town vibe. If you are looking for GPs it is not so great. There are not that many GPs and the saunas are empty. Fortaleza has more GPs even though it is still way more limited than SP and RJ. The saunas in Fortaleza are atleast full to semi-full. I would skip Recife because it is very limited in activities to do.

Honestly the guys that are the strippers only have slightly prettier faces than the strippers/gogo boys but are generally less endowed than the boys are. If you have a stripper fetish just get one of the boys to give you a lap dance in the suite or your hotel.

I have been to Fortaleza twice and Recife once. I would say the GP scene is way better in Fortaleza, there are are more saunas, plus the guys and clients are super friendly. The saunas in Fortaleza seem like a gay fraternity with men drinking singing and just all around fun. Recife for me was dead sexually, but the beaches are great if you like seeing reef shelf. I only passed through Natal but it seems like a super sleepy place. Overall all these places will seem sleepy in comparison to Rio and SP.

I would stay in Republica, it is super gay! Republica has a concentration of gay bars where guys congregate on the street for a huge gay hangout Friday-Sunday. In addition to bars there are 2 video cabins with hustlers and it's not too far from Lagoa (8 minutes by car/ 20 minutes by foot). I usually choose an Airbnb at the Setin Downtown in Republica. It's the tallest building with nice amenities, and as long as you let the hosts know your bringing a guest you should be fine. For a whole month you can get rooms for $500-800 USD. It's so popular I see guys posting pictures of the pool on Instagram because it has a great rooftop pool with a view.

I have been to Medellin twice. I would say when your in Colombia you are considered a "gringo" no matter what your race is if your foreign in Colombia. The great thing about Colombia, if your Black, is that you can blend in, unlike other posters that might stick out like a sore thumb. There are native Black Colombians that look just like Americans . Unfortunately, there is not a large Black population in Medellin. There are really only 3-4 gay places to visit in Medellin. Honestly if your looking for gay fun I would skip Medellin and go to Bogota. Bogota is bigger and has better gay venues

The venue does have a large stage with music videos on constant display, but it didn't have any live sex shows or drag queens.

It is a rough area, I wouldn't venture outside of the main venue. I would use an Uber for pickup and dropoff while being careful not to stand outdoors while waiting.

It definitely tends to draw guys that are twinkier and younger looking guys so if you want a muscleboy I would choose a different spot. The boys charge about $50-$70 reais per programa which is a steep decline from 202 and 117 in which a typical foreign client will be charged 150 reais or higher.

Let me know if you go. I am heading to Medellin on the 16th of April and will be there for a whole month, and also visiting the other cities too. Good to go in numbers if your a first timer. I've been to Club Tobi in 2019, and the whole Bogota gay scene too, I posted about in in the past in the Colombia Hotspots post. Right now just started the rainy season in South America, so expect to not have perfect days. Even if Medellin is closed you can book a dirt cheap $30-50 flight to other cities like Cartagena and Cali.

The trick may be to get the gogo before he becomes a gogo. When I spoke to the gentleman that contracts all the gogos, I asked him where he meets the boys. He said he actually meets most of them at the sauna. Now I didn't get much detail if that meant they were already garotos that turned gogo or that meant they were guys who happened to wander in to check out the place initially as a client but ended up being recruited as a gogo. But in all honesty, I don't think it would be as hard as you think if you are willing to offer a lot of money and swear a vow of utter secrecy not to ruin his "street cred."

Meio Mundo still is going strong I was there in November. The places in Rio to go to still are Lions Club, Meio Mundo, Point 202, and 117. I spent the whole month of November there, but beware, due to COVID things change fast with opening and closing times. It was definitely the case that it was usually only busy at one club each day unless it was the weekend then all clubs were generally more busy.

Thank for the update. I was slated to go to Medellin December 1st but cancelled because of the new lockdowns. Is there any word as to when they might curtail their curfew?

Unfortunately no, not for sex anyways. I have the contact for the guy that coordinates all the go-go boys at Lagoa and Fragata.
