54 year old and Big success with young egyptian without paying … pure mythomania

I am not going to defend myself, except to write that I’m sorry you feel the need to be so nasty. Oh, and that you’re completely deluded. But hey, you do you, I’ll just continue on my own merry and fabulous way having fun.

You're recommending an acutely homophobic culture where many gays have been put to death or imprisoned because of their sexuality?  In recommending, be acutely specific as to how one goes about hooking up in Egypt.  We all know that one should not display any specific signs publicly: e.g. holding hands, kissing...

What nonsense. Nobody in Egypt has been "put to death" because of homosexuality. Yes, there is police harassment and imprisonment of Egyptian LGBTQ+ community members, and you certainly cannot hold hands or make other displays of public affection, but homosexuality is not actually illegal in Egypt, and there is no evidence that police target foreigners for engaging in homosexual activity.

Having travelled to Egypt many times, as a Westerner, I have not, in any way, found it to be an "acutely homophobic culture".

I would expect the OP, before taking my advice, would read the posts here about Egypt and make up his own mind.

  3. I went to Turkey - Istanbul - with my late husband about 8 years ago.

I really really wanted to like it but we didn't have a good time. It just wasn't relaxing. Walking around, one felt one had to be on one's guard the whole time. My husband was pickpocketed on the crowded tram; his travel wallet with one credit card, his licence and a small amount of cash was taken. The credit card had £10,000 run up on it within 20 minutes - all from the same merchant. Clearly, it was organised crime; they had their own merchant terminal. It took us an hour to two to realise the card was stolen, so we phoned the bank and they cancelled the card and reversed the transactions (they hadn't been paid yet, only approved).

I am afraid the experience has soured Turkey for me. On the other hand, my neighbour here in England is Turkish and she has invited me to her summer home in Bodrum. I might give it another try: Turkish men are sexy.

  4. Have you considered Cairo? There's a very broad spectrum of men available in Cairo. If you are a size queen, you will not be disappointed by the Egyptian men. If you prefer your men darker, travel from Cairo down to Upper Egypt (e.g. Luxor, Aswan), where the men look more African and less Middle Eastern/Arabic.

I would qualify that statement pretty heavily.

I vacation each year in Cape Town in their Summer and have done so for many years. As an openly gay man, I’ve visited with my partner, and previously with boyfriends and before that as a single man.

Being openly gay is certainly accepted in smart hotels, restaurants etc because of the economic importance of tourism. Also there is constitutional protection. Social acceptance is another matter, and you almost never see PDA. There has been a marked decline in venues or public spaces for gay sex over the last 15-18 years (no male brothels, no rentboys on the Sea Point promenade at night, fewer nudist beaches and cruising, only 1 gay bar surviving) and the rate of violent crime has increased steadily.

As an older white man, my experience is that 2 gay white men may be viewed well for their spending power but locals have told me of the great difficulties 2 gay men or lesbians of colour will face and sometimes the violence that threatens their relationships.

Of course, as a visitor on vacation, you will have a great time. It is a wonderful country with resilient people and magnificent landscape.

    I agree with the above.

I have only been to Cape Town once, with my then-husband. We stayed for two nights in a ritzy small hotel, then in a private AirBnb run by an Englishwoman; both were in a posh neighbourhood (Newlands). The ritzy hotel had loads of gay staff, so no problem there, and it turned out the AirBnB owner and we had friends in common, so no problem there either. I was with my husband so we were not looking for sex.

We were never in any real danger there, but one evening walking through a park in the centre of town to a restaurant felt a little uncomfortable, but nothing untoward happened. A few days later we went to Stellenbosch for the wineries; on the drive back, as we approached the motorway back to Cape Town, there was a car stopped ahead of us at red light at the motorway junction. I saw a car turn in from a site road into our road from the left, and pull up next to the car that was stationary. As we got closer, the people in the car that pulled up got out of their car and approached the stopped car. We didn't look, and we most certainly didn't stop to see what happened next: I went straight through the red light, around the vehicles and immediately onto the Motorway. It was the only time I ever knowingly went through a red light. Luckily the roads were very quiet.

  6. I went to Marrakesh about twelve years ago with my then husband. We stayed at the Four Seasons.

We booked a session in the Hammam in the hotel. Being a very upscale hotel, the sessions were done in private. It was my first ever hammam experience and I wasn’t 100% certain what to expect. As it happened, my therapist was quite firm, but not unpleasantly so. I was wearing a flimsy pair of paper shorts that they provided; the therapist was similarly in a pair of shorts and was naked above the waist. At one point after being washed numerous times, I was laying face down on a stone bench and the therapist was scrubbing me all over. He deliberately ripped my shorts and started scrubbing my bum. Eventually his fingers found my crack, and then after exploring for a little while, he inserted his finger into my anus. This made me flinch, as I was not expecting it, but I just lay there, assuming that it was part of the service. However, whilst he had his finger inside me, I started to feel this prodding on the side of my face (I was looking down, and it was quite dark in the room). I naturally turned to see what it was, only to see his ginormous and fully erect black cock being thrust towards me. I was so shocked, I immediately sat bolt upright and said, “no, no, no, no, no!” as my husband was in the next room and we were monogamous.

He apologised and immediately put his penis away. The session ended soon afterwards. At least, after that,  I didn’t need to tip him!
