  1. I am looking for an experienced Massage Therapist in Pattaya area near Jomtien. Male only, the same person I can go to on a regular basis. Absolutely no interest in the ‘typical’ massage parlors so prevalent here. Would love to get a personal recommendation from someone who has experience with the referred therapist. Any recommendations appreciated!
  2. I'm an expat new in town and would like to take up bowling again. Is anyone aware of an expat bowling team or if anyone is interested in bowling please let me know.
  3. I want to hire (part-time, hourly rate) for a Technology person to help me when I move to Pattaya in Mid-March. I am in need of someone to assist me in phone apps, LINE and other Thai apps and eventually TV/Amazon firestick/ hookup - as well as learning some basic Thai Language instruction. All referrals and recommendations really appreciated. Thanks, JD
  4. About a week ago I posted to asked to hire (part-time, hourly rate) for a Translator/Technology person to help me when I move to Pattaya in Mid-March. A person responded with simply "I can help you" - and I did something wrong an accidently erased this message! I am a 'newbie' on these Social sites and uninformed on app/technology type issues. I can only say I screwed up! I'm posting to ask this person to Please reply again, as I am in need of someone to assist me especially on these issues, and eventually TV/Amazon firestick/VPN hookup - as well as learning some basic Thai Language instruction. Thanks, JD
  5. Thank You for your responses. To be honest I’m just starting to use social websites (and Apps) and I’m not the sharpest knife in the drawer when it comes to Technology, or what to say or not say! To answer some questions briefly it’s not the language or the Argentine people (wonderful and most welcoming) – but my desire to live in a totally different culture from my very traditional European heritage, combined with a sense of challenge and adventure. I apologize for stating in my initial message about no tourists or Englis-fluent only, etc. I realize now I had a very ‘narrow-minded’ attitude that several responses helped me see Myself, and I am so appreciative.
  6. Hello, I am John Davis (called JD), a U.S. citizen planning to retire in Thailand, but currently live in Argentina. However, all set up to move initially to Pattaya, arriving in mid-March 2024. Outgoing and inquisitive type, energetic, regular user of gym, sauna, and I also practice Meditation and Yoga. Really enjoy Music, Theater, Hiking/Walking, Travel - maybe bowling and/or golf again. Interested to meet men with some similar interests - for long-term friendships (no tourists or temporary residents please). Any race, nationality, age, etc., but English-fluent please. Pattaya seems to be a beautiful place, and a ideal location for me to meet and develop contacts with fellow English speakers, both expats and Thai locals. BTW - I am searching for a native English-fluent Translator, also very adept at technology. Of course I would pay a fair hourly rate for their assistance. Any information you could provide would be most appreciated!
  7. Hello! I am a U.S. Citizen looking to obtain a Retirement Visa in Thailand, and have some questions: 1) The Thai government website says someone applying for a retirement visa must have proof of pension or regular income from a source outside of Thailand that is not less than THB ฿65,000 per month. I have this proof with a U.S. Social Security letter, so exactly how to I “present this information” to the Thai visa office when I arrive in Thailand? 2) Also, is it true that if I apply while I am in the country, I don't have to present proof of health insurance? I have seen conflicting info about that. I currently am living in Argentina, but have U.S. Citizenship. 3) What is the “Medical Certificate” and what is the ‘physical testing’ requirement? Again, it is my understanding that Health insurance/medical certificate is not required if I apply for this visa in-country? 4) Can you recommend a very Good Thai Agent who can assist me with getting a retirement Visa when I’m in-country? Thanks in advance for your answers!
