They have more of a Pattaya focus and IMHO, a convivial, 'community'-feel that one may not necessarily find on the other boards. I get the impression that a lot of them are friends in real life and I'm sure they'd be happy to expand their circle. Good luck! Thank you for that, and you are correct. Several of us do know each other quite well and are always happy to make new friends and help people new to Pattaya.. If you are interested, every Thursday a group, usually 12 to 18 people, meet for dinner at 7:00pm at Sunee Plaza's Ting Tong Red bar. The owner, Mario, serves a meatloaf dinner. If you are interested, let me know and I'll be happy to put you in touch with the gent who makes all the arrangements. Also, nearly every night, right next door to Ting Tong Red, is the Elephant bar. A small group can almost always be found there at "The Round Table" from about 8:30pm-10:00pm. You would be most welcome. Most of these people have lived in Pattaya for many years and are just the right people to meet if you are new to Pattaya and don't have man farang friends just yet. You'll know all the ins and outs of Pattaya in no time. I think one , whether tourist or relocating, needs to compromise a little bit since at home usually we have much bigger choice of people we can hang on with. When in new place sometimes we need to put up or even befriend people who wouldn't be our first choice at home , otherwise we risk being lonely from the start. I have met some amazing people that I never thought I would have so much fun with. I am leaving pattaya right now, waiting for the bus. I am back September 7th! Many regulars show up for coffee and are easy to get to know as the place is small and conversations cannot be private so everyone seens to join in.
