Forum Changes

It was suggested in the thread for the new version of the site that we remove clutter in the forums and have fewer forums. We currently have many forums here. We can:

1. Move some of the old forums into the forums we decide to keep and that will enable users to view and post on them.

or

2. We can archive all of the older forums and have them as read only forums.

or

3. Open to other options.

So, which forums should we keep? Which ones should be move or archive? Any input or suggestions are much appreciated.

The present plan, although not hard and fast, is to keep the Pub and Buffet and the Business Travel forums. Anything goes in the Pub, within policy guidelines, The Buffet remains focused on escorts.

Please use this as the context for Oz's question OR make your own suggestions.

Why not just make it a travel forum? There aren't that many escorts posting their travels, nor clients, so why not combine the two?

We could use one separate forum for Oz to post his boyfriend pictures. Each day he could provide a guy of the day. No doubt it would take a while 'til he ran out of pix?

Do we lock several low or no use forums and archive them in a Read Only archive forum, with any new posts on topic going into the Pub or BUffet OR

Do we nest present slow or no use forums inside Pub or Buffet, leave them active so more posts can be contributed.

I suggest a combination of these two idea. Move the present slow or no use forums to a new catch all forum, but let them remain active forums. Suggested title: The Leftovers (in keeping with The Pub and The Buffet theme).

Then if they are still slow moving or inactive, then archive them. Or do what we all do with unwanted leftovers, throw them out.

Craigslist, etc. -- I've seen enough about CL on the Pub to make me wonder if this separate forum is necessary.
