Guest tomcal Posted August 20, 2009 Share Posted August 20, 2009 I spent the last week in Rio. August is the end of their winter and the weather is usually in the 70's. This week was no exception. We had 7 Sunny clear days, 75 - 78 during the day and mid 60's at night, Perfect! While this is the "slow" season, the 3 main saunas were all busy, Meo Mundo, Pointe 202 and Club 117. I did not go to Spazio 18 which is only a few blocks from 117, because I don't like the facility or the type of guys that go there so I can't comment on how they are doing. Meo Mundo was really busy on Monday and Saturday nights with upwards of 30+ guys working. It seems that every night is no towel night there for the "working" boys, so alot of eye candy! They bought the building next door that was a English school and knocked a wall out and put 10 bedrooms in where the classrooms used to be and they are modern with mood lighting and full size beds. Only down side is that they still don't have individual bathrooms/showers in the rooms like the other two saunas, but it's in the future construction plans according to Acyr the owner. As I have said in previous posts and it hasn't changed, most of the working guys at MM are 18 - 22, twink to swimmer build Club 117 was really busy on Tuesday/Thurs/Sunday nights. All type guys here, with about 1/3 being muscular leaning to semi body builder, and another 1/3 being toned/gymnist type bodies. the rest mixed twinks, natural body types. Usually at least 25 to 35 guys working. Age range generally from 19 - 25 Pointe 202, had a nice selection of guys on both Sat. Sun. and Monday nights. Although we never got there before 8:30/9:00 pm at the earlist as we go there last since it's the closest to the hotel, There may be more guys there earlier, alot of guys will do one programma and than leave, others who have quicker "recharge" time will stay the whole evening and do 3 or 4 clients. Usually after getting back to the hotel from the saunas around 10:00 we head out for dinner at Corujinhas Restaurant. It had anywhere from 4 to 10 guys "working" each night. The first two nights I picked someone up to go back to the hotel with after dinner. I always ask them but have never really gotten a good answer why they prefer hustling at the restaurant rather than working at the saunas. But in both cases they were as much fun and as sexy as the guys in the saunas. This trip I did a three way and a all night 4 way with the one stripper I have been with before, but he brought new guys this time. This has really worked out great as he knows my type and he enjoys it as much as I do, so it ends up being a tiring but great night! There is a new TexMex restaurant in the gay area of Ipanema called Rota 66, Ave. Farme de Amoedo 66 and across the street is another good restaurant called Galitos, Farme de Amoedo 62 Both have really good food and while not "gay" are very gay friendly. We went to both and there were 3 of us Americans and 3 of the "boys" and they and us really enjoyed it and the service was great. One day for lunch we went to Cafe Columbo Rua Gonçalves Dias 34, Centro, it was built in the 1800's and the interior is amazing, the ceiling goes up 20' with huge ornate mirrors and antique 15' hutches surrounding the dining room. They have great food and are known for their desserts. There is a second location overlooking the bay at the military base with great view but doesn't have the history and style of the the one downtown. Beaches I don't think I mentioned before but when going to the beach take 20 to 25R with you(approximately $10. - 13. U.S.) and nothing else. Don't bring a wallet/credit cards or wear a watch and definitely don't use your blackberry!! Snatch and Grab happens at the beach, if you have something to grab! for $8.R you can rent a beach umbrella and chair and for $3.R soft drinks, also bbq shrimp, alchoholic drinks, sun tan lotion, caps, etc. are all available from the vendors. Look for the vendors with the Rainbow flags by their tents in Copacabana beach in front of the Copacabana Hotel in Copa or in Ipanema at the intersection of Atlantica Blvd and Farme de Amoedo to rent your chair and umbrella. I am always hesitent to do this because the guys(or boys as they seem to be preferred to be called) really do different things with different clients. I remember one guy who is now a good friend but back about 6 years ago, asked me about a boy that I had gone with several times. I told that he was a great kisser, liked to 69 and was a very enthusiastic bottom! The next day he accused me of lying as other than kissing the guy didn't suck dick, and didn't bottom!. I said "why would I lie?" After all these years of visiting Brazil, and having been with quite a few guys in the saunas, I would say that 50% probably treat all their clients fairly equally, but the guys certainly have activities that they will not due with certain clients for whatever reasons. Always ask before you go up with a guy if he does what you want to do. Beijos = Kissing Chupa = Sucking Activo/Passivo = Top or Bttm Also establish the Price before you go up! This last trip the rate is still $50.R which is about $28. U.S. The guys will usually always start off asking 100.R., remember they don't do this to the Brazilians, who commonly pay $35 - $40.R. But I haven't had anyone refuse $50. as it's very competitive in the saunas. I don't tip but alot of guys do and $10. - $20.R seems to be what they tip. When I did the overnight with the 3 guys, we were together from 9:00 pm until noon the next day. I paid them each $125.R(plus they raided the mini bar, with my permission so and that was about $25. additional). So a very LONG overnight with three guys and having sex multiple times, cost $375. Very affectionate, versitile. And a bonus he speaks fluent English! also Italian. He lived in Milan for a year back in 2006, as a paid dancer in the clubs there. I have never had him stay for a overnight, he has usually been my afternoon/pre suana guy! But I would guess $150.R+ Best to ask him B/4 he stays over rather than after! I took four different guys up and had a graet time with each. Most of the guys prefer to top - that is clear fast - so be sure to discuss this before you go up. Also, I made the mistake once of not agreeing on a price before I went up and the guy tried to charge me R$150. I talked him down significantly, but it was very unpleasant. Let that be a lesson to everyone that goes to the saunas. Agree on the terms first. Otherwise, whatever your fantasy is - you will find it here. Where are you spending more time at now when you go to Brazil? Oz, For the last 8 years I have always spent the last 10 days of Oct. in Rio, but this year I won't be. I am going to do Zurich and Prague(I will be sending a report of the sauna in Zurich!) in September, and than do to upcoming work meetings probably will only get a short trip to Brazil in sometime in Oct. or Nov. Usually My longer trips there are March/June and Oct. with a couple of 4/5 day trips inbetween. As everyone that reads this knows I love Porto Alegre...BUT, only for a long weekend! It is a nice city, the kind you would like to retire to, but not one to spend a week's vacation at! Plus the two suanas and 2 sex bars/clubs are only good Thurs - Sunday. I still spent the majority of my time in Rio. I am not a big fan of Sao Paulo, it's like puttting 10 NYC's together, just too big and expensive to get around in. and even though it's the largest of the saunas in Brazil, Lagoa in S.P. is my least favorite. I do like Fragata Sauna in S.P. but not enough to go there just for that when Rio has 5 saunas, great beaches, restaurants and easy access to all of them without spending a fortune on cabs or long metro rides. I used to catch the flight from S.P. back to the states(American Airlines flights that leave Rio, fly down to S.P. and than fly back to either NYC or Dallas, so the flight you have to be at the airport in Rio for at 6:00 pm. is the same one that you don't have to be at the airport in S.P. until 10:00 for!), so I would fly from Rio to S.P. on one of the regional airlines on a Sunday afternoon, go check my bags at Lagoa and spend the late afternoon/evening there and than catch a cab from Lagoa to the airport at 9:00 pm for my 11:30 flight back to the states and it worked great! That cab ride is now $150R and almost a hour long. And overall, and I realize this is a generalization, the attitude and quality of the boys at Lagao were a turnoff for me...with some exceptions! :-), compared to either the Rio or P.A. guys! His name is Thiago and He can be found at Pointe 202 sauna, he been working there for the past 4 years. On weekends they will have anywhere from 3 to 6 guys dancing on the stage and I first saw him there as he was a very good dancer, and 18 at the time and I didn't really think my type, but I went up to a room with him and he was great! Since then I have seen him a few times but usually when I run into him I am with someone else! this last trip a couple weeks ago, same thing happened but I asked him if he could come to the hotel the next afternoon at 3:00 and he said yes... he arrived at 4:00! Brazilians are notoriously late for appts. Guest sunset Posted December 24, 2009 Share Posted December 24, 2009 Coming in a little late, but Thiago was by far the highlight of my trip when I was in Rio about a year and a half or so ago...I think it was my 3rd or 4th night in the saunas, one of the garotos (Sandro, I believe) who was pretty good in English called me over and told me he had someone who he wanted me to meet that would be perfect for me. I was a little skeptical, but he smiled at me and told me he knew my type and what I liked. (Nothing unusual, but I was a little naive not realizing how much they all talk to each other and compare notes at the time) He introduced me to Thiago. I definitely thought he was cute (definitely looks cuter in the picture tomcal posted with his hair grown out), but when we got to the room--Wow, he was definitely fantastic! I'm glad to see he's still around, he told me (I don't know how serious he was) that his boyfriend in Columbia wanted him to move there to live with him and he was thinking about it.
