That is the way photos are added. I knew that was the tool to load an image file from my computer to the forum. Is that also now the way to insert a URL pointing to an image on the web? P.S. NEVER MIND! I see now that the new forum version is intelligent enough to simply detect when you paste in a live link to an image on the web, and automatically display it as an image.
