I keep getting unknown error. The photo is jpeg

    Thai Pass

Been trying to get my Thai Pass. Assembled all documents, vaccination, insurance. Hit problem with uploading my passport : I’ve tried copying it, scanning it a number of times . It keeps being rejected whereas the other documents were ok. Don’t know what I can do. Any ideas ?
  3. Occasionally it’s difficult to get the boy to leave. I don’t like getting up much later than 9am, because I normally have a nap in the late afternoon. 9am is far too early for most boys and an hour or two of sleep or tv in a comfortable hotel room, possibly with room service, is welcome for them rather than returning to a hot noisy one shared with others. On the other hand I’ve had them wake me up very early pre-dawn asking for their full long time tip, which results in friction when I take a discount.
  4. I’ve watched several threads on YouTube in which the producers go about the tourist areas of Pattaya making videos whilst walking, on motor bikes and even on a pedal bike. They try to film as many attractive girls as possible who are not wearing much, but are constrained by YouTube censorship. The commentaries express hope for more “opening up” and for more tourists to arrive, and one talked about a landmark being when girlie gogos are allowed topless dancing. I suppose that’s pretty much what us gays are hoping for ! - the day when the boys are on stage in briefs, g-strings etc and are available for offs. Maybe other boy bars will open following Winner’s example.

    Thai Pass

Good but I will really applaud when gay gogos open with boys dancing in their whities on the inside stages, wanting to be called down to join customers for a possible off.
  6. I’ve used the airport bus quite a few times, but not on cost grounds rather for safety. I find the regular taxi journey a bit scary with the drivers following the vehicle in front too closely and making erratic lane changes. The large buses go at a much steadier speed and arrive only maybe 20 minutes slower at Jomtien. Everyone should be aware of the appalling death toll on Thailands roads. Also saving about 1750 baht gives me a good feeling even though it is eliminated very quickly as soon as I get into a boy bar. as has been mentioned the Jomtien terminus is only a short walk from the Complex where many of us stay. Even if your hotel is in South Pattaya (Boystown) staying on the bus to Jomtien is a good tactic and using the steady stream of baht buses rather than the rip off merchants who wait at the Sukhumvit stops.
  7. Yes they were asking for trouble, but it seems strange that he was not immediately aware that his necklace had been removed. Maybe this was an insurance scam. i have a Collection of gold jewellery which stays back home in a hidden safe . I’ve also a few convincing gold items which I do take to Pattaya which I purchased some years ago in Benidorm. Maybe even wearing those is not a good idea as the necklace could be wrenched off from a motorbike causing me some injury.
  8. Pre Covid I visited Nice Boys quite a few times over the years - the best fun nights were in company with one or more friends . I did not off from there much - The boys at Winner were more of a draw for me, but I liked the raw porn on view (especially Isaan erect cocks) after a few drinks, but the occasional chuck wow contests were a bit too far.
  9. I suppose in these post Covid times we have to accept the presence of females in “our” bars and accept that their money allows them to open. When I first visited Pattaya in 2002 you never saw ladies on the gay beach but in later years it became more common to see a small number joining us gays and our Asian boyfriends there.
  10. During my numerous trips to Thailand (mainly BKK and Pattaya) as a gay sex tourist I have never had any significant problems bringing boys back to my room. Mostly I was staying in 3* type hotels known to be favoured by gay guests although occasionally it was in top end ones such as the Banyan Tree in Bkk. If in doubt it would be wise to enquire about their policy at the time of reservation and book for 2 persons. Also when engaging boys online I always take them through reception rather than have them make their own way to my room, so as to resolve any possible problems with ID cards or their appearance.
  11. What’s happened to the Gay Beach ?
  12. I stayed at the Banyan Tree five years ago for two nights, to experience a top hotel in Bkk. It’s a very impressive place deserving at least a 4* rating. I had arrived on a motor bike taxi which prompted the door man to ask for confirmation that I had a reservation. My junior suite was on a high floor with a great view of the city. I used the swimming pool which was also on a high floor which I enjoyed. I was a little nervous when arriving back by Tuk tuk with an offed boy, but there was no problem at reception, although I got a few stares from farang couples making my way to the elevator with him. I cannot recall what I paid for the room but I recall that breakfast was the most expensive one I’ve ever had in Thailand. It’s close to Lumpini Park which was a plus as I was into jogging at the time. After checking out I used the complimentary tuk tuk to take me to the nearest sky train station. My next hotel during that trip was the Zing Resort in Pattaya where the room charge would have been a fraction of that at the Banyan Tree.
  13. Pleased that the Complex Bars are adopting a “flexible” policy towards closing time. Pre-Covid I stayed in hotels there and usually started my evening in one of the bars prior to taking a baht bus to visit the Boystown or Sunee gogos in a search for a bed companion. Around midnight usually with boy I would return by motorbike to finish with a nightcap taking in the vibrant atmosphere.
  14. Z909’s first picture has cropped up on gay sites for a number of years, for good reason,- don’t we just love that line up of handsome Gogo boys !. I think it is at least 10 years since it was taken.
  15. Yes I have had boys voice the “vacation proof” a good number of times since my first visit to Thailand more than 20 years ago, very often when I was reluctant to fund an excessive demand for cash or presents. Although I would say that the affluence gap between “the West” and SE Asia has closed somewhat over those years, manifesting itself in a much reduced supply of young Thai recruits from Isaan to the sex industry in the tourist resorts.
  16. When in Pattaya I used to visit the Coco gym which is situated on Beach Road. It’s large and well equipped and pre Covid it was busy with tourists, expats and local Thais. The dress code was not at all orientated towards Lycra, although when I went there, working out was my objective not hooking up with other guys. I never took boyfriends to gyms, but Occasionally I bought them speedos when I thought they would look good in them on the beach.
  17. Well Londoner, Pattaya is not most people’s idea of a tropical beach. But it does have sand and palm trees and water. I don’t sit on the section in Pattaya city, but I always found Jomtien pleasant, particularly the gay portion, at least when that was in full swing.
  18. Thanks but I’m not 80 yet ~ several years to go yet.
  19. I retired from my long term employment in 2002 with a good pension and health plus available money. I planned to travel and take numerous holidays, which not possible in full time employment. Being gay I had visited European resorts (playa del ingles. Benidorm etc) and had heard rumours and stories about Thailand, and of course I ended up,there, commencing with 3 weeks in Pattaya. I took full advantage of the thriving gay scene, particularly whilst the exchange rate was 73 baht = £1. No advice was available from websites then, like that Pandaman has just been given, -,you just learnt by experience and making mistakes.
  20. Nice to hear that Zing is open and that you found it confortable. Before the pandemic it had become my favourite hotel in Pattaya. I used to like the useful size pool where I often relaxed with my boyfriends du jour. Interesting that you took the airport bus to Jomtien where the terminus is close to the Complex and the Zing hotel. I remember pulling my bag along the uneven pavement from the bus after the long 24 hour journey from home but happy to have arrived. For me the bus is good and a lot safer than in the high speed taxis weaving about in the traffic.
  21. Good to see that Boyztown business’ have not given up trying to keep things alive. COVID has gone on a lot longer than anyone envisaged in early 2020 when I made my last trip to Pattaya. I’m just hoping that the situation will improve in 2022 allowing making a visit by me and other gay tourists feasible, when their efforts will be rewarded by the resumption of buoyant trade.
  22. I’ve just viewed a video on YouTube showing nightlife at Tree Town on Soi Buakhow going strong. All tables at the so called restaurants seemed taken with patrons enjoying themselves, many drinking with no food in evidence. Some single girls walking about which I took to be freelancers. possible / probable discrimination against gay bars ?.
  23. The idea of another trip to Thailand, particularly Pattaya is very active in my mind just now. Over the years I have visited Thailand (mainly Pattaya) for the tropical weather, excellent value hotels and restaurants, some sight-seeing and the exotic atmosphere very different to Northern Europe. But most of all I have travelled to meet and have sex with attractive Asian guys. Drinking alcohol in bars is not a priority for me. So I think a couple of weeks in late January would be a good decision.
  24. The Venue is the only major hotel in the Complex that I have not stayed in. After a few year I finally settled on the Zing where I liked their larger rooms and also the pool. It’s at a sufficient distance not to be in range of noise from the bars. Unlike the Poseidon it’s not 100% gay. I anticipate checking availability in a month or so for a visit early in 2022.
  25. Im with you there Londoner - some boys are more affluent than one might suppose. During my last contribution I mentioned a very attractive 18 year old I first met on the beach in year 2003 and subsequently offed him from Euro Boys. I like to think he had a prosperous career in the gay Pattaya sex industry. He will be about 36 now and probably retired some time ago from the bars, but after a good remunerative period in the beds of gay farangs like myself, and having probably a number of longer term relationships. The family in Isaan would have benefited from improvements to their property, purchase of farm equipment and perhaps a pickup truck and generally from freedom from uncertainty and poverty. On the other had I hope he has not been crippled by drugs or alcohol, a motor bike accident or contracted a STD from bare back sex.
