It’s not necessary to have a Facebook presence when Winner gets excellent publicity like this thread. I suspect most gay sex tourists like myself will be familiar with this site and will have noticed the attractions of Winner. When in Sunee it would be difficult not to find Winner, whereas when I first discovered Pattaya 18 years ago, the Soi was crowded with bars and Gogo’s.

Finnseventy - you are a very bad man for taunting us twink lovers in that way !. I’m due in Jomtien next week !. Those pictures were taken perhaps early afternoon, judging from the absence of shadows, when everyone was at the beach ? The advice from Vessey and Vinapu is spot on. I was there last in February and had a good time,

Stunning twink boys !!. I will be there next week.
-
yes You never know what you will find when you enter a Gogo and whether your specification for a boy for your bed will be met. Being a twink lover the bar which had a consistent supply was Cupidol but that was maybe two years ago and during my last couple of trips I found nothing there to wet my appetite. I will certainly be visiting Dream Boys during my forthcoming trip.

Kawaii Boy gogo Bar on Pattayaland soi 1 closes.
Travellerdave replied to williewillie's topic in Gay Pattaya
I very much dislike entering a Gogo and finding I’m the only customer. When that happens I’m reluctant to immediately leave as I’m a rather polite sort of person. The boys then commence a shuffle having reluctantly put down their phones. Occasionally my presence tempts encourages more to enter and a more positive atmosphere develops.Better that Kawai Boys closes and the business is more concentrated in the remaining gogo’s. -
Prisma Boy Bar on Pattayaland soi 3 Boyztown
Travellerdave replied to williewillie's topic in Gay Pattaya
Just pack your suitcases, go there and force yourself to have fun ! Well Vinapu I’m going to do just that during my next trip due in three weeks, although I’m sure that “force” will not be required. As to long time difficulty I’m hopefull that I will be able to tempt twinky boys into my bed for that period, by a suitable disbursement of what they like, which is baht. -
I also have tried uploading pictures and received the fault message.

Jomtien Complex - Pattaya’s best area for gays ?
Travellerdave replied to Travellerdave's topic in Gay Pattaya
I’m due in Pattaya in three weeks and am contemplating making a hotel reservation. Last time I stayed in the Zing Resort in the Complex and have checked their website and booking.com with a view to doing the same this time. Both have very good deals but there is mention of noise from building work. Does any member have recent experience of staying there ?. I want to stay in the Complex in a gay friendly hotel, without a lot of tour party guests, so I suppose another option would be the Agate. Also what’s the bar scene like there. I’m into twinks. -
As to Amyl it’s occasionally offered for sale on GR. Also it sometimes can be bought on Dongtan Gay Beach by Thais hawking it around in their palm of hand. Why not take it with you disguised as something else ? Pattaya not good for muscle boys BKK for them as above. Pats for twinks.

What is the connection between Taksin and Sunee’s glory days ?. I do agree with those dates Boy69. My first trip was in 2002 when I fell in love with Pattaya.
-
Nice to hear that Sunee is not finished yet, which I thought would soon be the case following recent reports. During my early trips to Pattaya commencing 2002 it’s where I had most fun and found the most boys to share my bed. In fact I stayed a few times in the Elephant Guesthouse there. Talking about long time which I prefer mostly because I love sex in the morning when I’m more relaxed and when I can summon up a nice hard erection.

That’s interesting !. I remember that Oscars used to sell sexy stuff from an upstairs room several years ago but I think the venture fell by the wayside.

I only know one other gay who has been taking Prep who tells me that he has not experienced these negative side effects after two months usage, although they are warned about on websites and in the written instructions. Obviously experience will vary. I’m going to purchase a supply online in preparation for my July trip to Pattaya and hope that I escape the unpleasant side effects. My latest HIV test was negative so I think it’s worth a try. I don’t intend to dispense with condoms but I’m mainly bottom and sometimes it’s difficult to make sure boys put and keep them on.
-
It seems that taking PrEP would be wise precaution for gays going to Thailand with a view to having sex with multiple boys. Although to dispensing with condoms (tempting for some)!would bring with it the substantial risk of the other sexually transmitted diseases.

Thanks from myself also Hunan. As you can see from my previous posts on this thread I have been a fan of this Gogo in the past and am pleased to hear that there are now some cute twinks in tightly whites. Let’s hope that BT continues to revive.

Londoner - I’ve sent you a pm.

I stayed at the Agate last August which is of course low season. It was certainly gay friendly, but there was a few hetro couples and a Russian family there. In February I changed to Zing, also in the Complex. Whilst not 100% gay there were a number of gay farangs, including myself, bringing boys to their rooms and sitting with them round the pool, which is larger than the one at Agate. Zing is a fair bit cheaper than Agate. Is the Baan Souy 100% gay ?. Nasherich I echo the thanks of other members for an excellent report, which covered the difficulties but many pleasures of interacting with Asian boys/

Around ten years ago I often picked up boys from Dongtan Beach and invited them to go with me to the Sansuck, where we would experience the delights of the dark maze, followed by a meal,in the restaurant. The last time I visited was last September when I went alone and found no action and a distinct lack of customers. Certainly allowing free entry to younger Thais is an obvious way to revive the place.

Female sex tourism on the rise in Thailand?
Travellerdave replied to abidismaili's topic in Gay Thailand
Very nice Abang i love his buttocks in those briefs. In Pattaya you only see females in the BT gogos whereas Sunee gogos and the Complex host bars seem to be gays only. On the other hand on the Gay Beach these days are to be found a lot of couples and single women, whereas in the past they were rare, perhaps confined to women who felt safer amongst us gays. -
Off boys for overnight stay till morning
Travellerdave replied to manuelmendez's topic in Gay Thailand
This also has not happened to me during recent trips but the “cling” scenario happened to me years ago. I remember one boy who moved some of his clothes into my hotel room and tried to plan my activities and invited a friend to join us at the pool. When after about a week I terminated him he bombarded me with texts. -

Some good advice here from Vinapu and others. I usually have boys in my bed overnight during my trips to Pattaya. Sometimes the boy will not accept the LT invitation for whole manner of reasons often not related to his opinion of you. They are often more receptive later in the evening when short time possibilities have shrunk and the appearance at the bar by his daddy seems unlikely. I generally mention the tip I propose, as I am reasonably generous, which tends to lead to good performance. Sometimes the long time becomes extended perhaps to breakfast or even accompanying you to the beach or hotel pool. -
Are Thailand’s Gay Ghettoes finished in the longer term?
Travellerdave replied to Travellerdave's topic in Gay Pattaya
It would be interesting to know the number of gay visitors to Thailand over the years - say from year 2000. The general view from posts on this forum and from conversations and my own impressions is that numbers have declined significantly. But we get these impressions from our own activities in the gay ghettoes. There are probably a substantial number of gays who don’t visit BT, Sunee Plaza and the Jomtien Complex. We are never going to know this statistic - there is no tick box on the visa waiver form for stating gay ?. As to massage venues I don’t make much use of them. I don’t rate the therapeutic part and the rest I prefer to enjoy in bed. So if only massage venues are going to survive I will have to go elsewhere, such as European resorts. As I have mentioned 20 years ago I had many holidays at Playa de Las Americas with its gay section on the beach. But unfortunately I have not now the body to parade there nude or in a g-string, which I used to do. I still have the leather g-string but darent wear it on Dongtan. -

Yes Hunan you are right, but I tend not to regard Eros as a Gogo in that the boys there don’t do much dancing, hence my figure of 3. -

Reading the many posts to this forum’s various sections I form the opinion that this is a definite possibility. I have not visited Bangkok for a couple of years but I hear from the forum that Soi Twilight is to be bulldozed. I make regular trips to Pattaya and like others I am very aware of the sad decline of the Sunee Plaza, so that now there is only three active gogos, whereas when I first went there in 2002 there were perhaps about ten. Host bars seem deserted or closed up. BoysTown is not what is was with the gogos being patronised to a great extent by noisy Chinese Women. Closure of iconic bars are being reported. I used to enjoy visits to the Sansuck Sauna but I didn’t go during my last trip as I heard about lack of “action “. The Gay Beach is not now really gay, being infiltrated by st’s. The Jomtien Complex seems to be thriving and that’s where I will be based during my next trip. But that venue could be under threat with police crack-downs against the employment of Cambodian attractive boys. Perhaps we should stop spending holidays in the ghettoes and mix more on holiday with the general population. Society is far more tolerant now so why do we stay in Pattaya’s gay hotels, when the other 98% accept gay guests and their companions. I used to vacation in Plays del Ingles until I discovered Thailand and had active sex with other gay men there, but unfortunately I am not so attractive anymore and there is not a commercial sex industry. So there will be a real problem if it becomes not worth while to make the long journey to Thailand. Am I too gloomy ? -
Winner Boys in Sunee Plaza opening February 18th
Travellerdave replied to williewillie's topic in Gay Pattaya
I suppose one justification for an increased off fee would be to discourage to many customers offing boys early in the evening. Looking back to my report above on my last visit to Winner I found a shortage of boys because a number of them had departed with customers earlier. In fact those left were the least attractive. I visit a gay Gogo to look and interact with boys and maybe end up with one in my bed - the drinking is the lesser attraction. Fewer Boys = fewer customers = fewer notes in the till.
