They are a dance troupe, possibly the only fem twink dance troupe working in the nightlife industry and their style and presentation is quite unique. I wouldn't assume that everyone working in that environment is a sex worker. Some of them are in relationships with their contemporaries as are many others within the complex and this is perfectly normal.

Superb concise summary of vital information for gay men visiting the Complex for the first time and for those like myself, as an infrequent visitor looking to fully enjoy their visit. Ladyboys are not of interest to me, but boys, particularly femboys definitely are. Good mention of the gay beach, which needs more publicity to restore its vitality of a few years ago.

As Vinapu wrote above, The Venue is in the direct center of the Jomtien Complex, aka Supertown.

Twink fem boys can be found in the nearby bars; Sunee Boy, Fun Bar, Great Bar, M Bar, Boy Gaga, Coqtales, Red Room, etc
The complex is also host to 5 cabaret show bars where you can meet some of the ladyboys.  These are:
The Venue, Candy Bar, The Best Bar, M2M, M Bar Note that Pattaya is famous for its large production of Ladyboy cabaret shows.  These are big professional shows held in venues like you would find in Las Vegas.
Alcazar  Tiffany's Colosseum Regarding the apps, I believe that you can find the most ladyboys on Grindr  - as well as access to the local guys who can attempt to communicate in English.  Grindr also attracts available guys who are passing through the Pattaya area more so than on the other apps listed below.
Hornet  is probably the post popular app after Grindr - and is more Thai-on-Thai - but it also has many of the local fem boys - just be prepared to use Google Translate.
Heesay  is the most popular app after Grindr and Hornet - and is very local - if you want access to the local guys - there are many local fem boys on this app.
The Blowers - less popular - but some interesting guys can be found on that app.
PlanetRomeo  - Some of the local guys who tend to have better English communication skills have profiles in the Romeo app.  As this app is from Europe - you will also find some of the foreigners who are visiting the Pattaya area on this app.

In The Venue you will be in the thick of action so location is perfect. No problem with guests at all. No shortage of fem boys in the Complex, for ladyboys Grindr may be more of help for you

Strange as it may seem in these  "quiet" days ,  the popularity of the gay hotels was such that it was hard to find a room a Ambiance or  Le Cafe Royale. Serene was a cheaper gay-friendly option  and was blessedly quiet owing to to its being set back from the soi. Penthouse attracted some gay guests but appeared to me to be  aggressively straight and was surrounded by noisy lady-bars.
The gay hotels served as useful meeting-places for newbies such as I and, together with Cocobanana (later named Panorama), enabled gay visitors to discuss venues and share experiences with more seasoned travelers. My partner and I remained loyal to Ambiance until five or so years ago when Boyztown's late night show bars ,  as did Macbeth, " murdered sleep." We still miss it but increasing age demands more sleep than was allowed in Boyztown....and that refers to  both of us!

I just read an article on Thaiger about the very low occupancy this year, with some hotels not even breaking even. So it is a very good time to come, not only to support the Pattaya economy, but also hopefully to get  good accommodation deals 
I would have assumed that with the recent Gay Pride event in Pattaya that many of the hotels preferred by gays would have been booked out. I stayed in Sansuk for a couple of nights at that time and I did not notice many guests there. And I must put in a plug for the Sansuk guesthouse. It is reasonably priced, especially if you want just a basic room. I had always imagined it to be well off the beaten track, but you can get off the songteaw and it's just a short walk to the hotel. 

There is a good reason that they test you for HIV first before giving you PREP. If you happen to be infected, and you start taking PREP, you can and probably will become resistant to the drug, and any other medication you might get in the future can become ineffective. Pulse clinic here in Pattaya can test you for HIV on the spot. You can also pick up HIV self test kits in most of the local pharmacies which work like the Covid 19 tests. You prick you finger, not finger your prick, and put a drop of blood into the test box. Wait a few minutes and you will have your result. Then, if negative, you can start taking PREP. The test claims to be 99% accurate. That being said, you need to wait a few weeks after your last encounter before testing, since it will take some time for antibodies to appear in your blood. Also note that Pulse clinic does not always have a doctor present on premises. They do have a schedule when the doctor is available.
It is a totally ignorant idea to purchase PREP over the counter without the proper preparation and testing. It is your life and if you want to take chances with it that you cannot reverse later, it's up to you!
