we can see with our own eyes when visiting and looking at all those closed doors and shuttered windows that answer is no. As much as crowds are annoying they keep businesses including our bars and massages humming

any time has advantages and disadvantages, height of rains is actually September , I was there twice and it was not even half as bad as I expected. Yes it rained but not that it rained constantly and one could see that rain is coming so it was easy to hide somewhere. So as far as monsoon season goes, pack your umbrella and go

application is pretty straightforward, you need pictures in your passport, vaccination certificate and insurance certificate, looks no .pdf format is accepted in their respective sections of application but at end is section for additional documents and you can upload .pdf there in case you doubt your pictures quality. It'll work For address in Thailand section put address of first hotel you will be staying unless you have some permanent location in mind

considering Bangkok's temperatures and humidity in July any main street mid-day will be good sauna substitution, full of young local guys too

no idea what place Z909 has in mind but is you are looking for hunky masseurs I can recommend Classic House which I patronized happily in Dec over 4 days , different massage boy every day including 4 hands on last one. One of them visited me in the room as well and other agreed to spent 3 nights with me so obviously I was happy with the place

there's substantial difference between looking at , say, guy's butt and actually touching it I guess

I noticed visible move of hotel prices upwards from my December stay, they are bit higher now and prices offered for end of year are much higher still. Market economy at work I guess. But still good deals and good value for money abounds

1000 baht note will work as Certificate of Insurance

Thailand ranked one of 10 safest travel destinations
vinapu replied to reader's topic in The Beer Bar
I'd say 2 weeks is minimum although I twice took just 1 week trips and enjoyed both even with those 24 hrs flights each way. But wouldn't recommend it for first timers. Weather wise definitely Dec or Jan but as reader mentioned , Thailand is enjoyable in any weather due to abundance of willing consolators -
I saw similar family entourage in Classic in soi Twilight and left immediately as I think dragging children into this type of establishment is just asking for trouble for all involved , including spectators

I agree, for me Dreamboys and Jupiter are chief offenders in that field as for bar discussion, I don't think most of Thai bars if any , with guys on the stage are gay bars, they are boy bars thus there's possibility they attract boy admirers of either gender and that's exactly what happens. It may not be comfortable for some but those ladies in audience while at times annoying, keep those bars operational and well staffed. While discrimination is slippery slope indeed , unfortunately and fortunately is fact of life and at times necessary. Senior discounts, ladies nights, suppression of night time noise, pedestrian only zones all all part and parcel of it. I'm discriminated against even in my former primary school which I can't visit as only parent and guardians of children are allowed inside and even thea are prohibited from entry during class times. As for presence of ladies in bars while at times annoying , I don't mind, specially when I'm marching away with hunk of my choice while they hold their tears jealously at such waste of prime man material. I would not complain seeing boy bar with sign "ladies only" either. Let them have their fun. In fact in my city we used to have male bar where "only men escorted by ladies are (were) admitted ", practice ended on grounds of discrimination and now we don't have neither discrimination not that bar.

I stay many times in Classrooms ( on your recommendation by the way and thank you ) and never had problem with bar noise. I like their discreet entry to the side of bar. In Boyztown itself I prefer Copa to Ambiance if only because maze of corridors in the later is kind of scary. In Jomtien complex The Venue is good but there it may be problem with bar noise.

and on my first in November 2001

as for money changers XOne on Suriowong close to Amara hotel has in Dec rates rivalling those at airport basement. To Pattaya I recommend airport bus although it's less frequent than those from Ekkamai .
