as others said above , too expensive. I rather spent money on overpaying my offs. While every trip I try to splurge or 2-3 nights on something better - better hotel or more spacious room in existing one, just to see how it is I find additional amenities and luxuries don't do much for me. I'm not one to try to impress my guests either. What I found about luxury accommodation when I try it, is that I tend to spend more time inside basking in that opulence while bare bones room seem to chase me away. What I do like is spacious room, it's why I like Classrooms in Pattaya. Big size , not too much of furniture, dancing size of free space. I grew up in cramped apartment and this is possibly reason I like all that useless space. I'm not saying spending money on better accommodation is a waste but that it does not to much for me. Quite possible in the future I will try Le Meridien for those 2 nights of better accommodation, tried Amara , tried Crown Plaza, why not?. that true but I wouldn't count on that lasting too long and my advice would be to book suitable accommodation as soon as travel plans are crystalized. Most hotels I stay in December raised their prices substantially by next trip in May. Some still offer penalty free cancellation almost up to the last day. you did much better job than me comparing Tarntawan to Furama Sathorn, thank you . At end of day whatever choice one makes it will work. On my last trip my first night was in Tarntawan and while desk was still there by elevator it was not manned so chances are that they abandoned that ID checking, definitely they did not do to my guest As for breakfast is not necessity ever since Foodland Patpong was awarded 7th Michelin star even if they raised price of their breakfast by 5 baht but if hotel offers it and price difference , if any , is sensible I go for it. In Furama case it was lime 100 baht for 2. Often hotels are offering free or economically priced breakfast only for certain rooms, at times chepest , at times most expensive so it's worth to comb through offers. Nantra seemed closed in May, not sure they are opened but we can ask reader to check as he may be passing by there daily on his walks. Yes they started slacking on maintenance and in meantime other places in vicinity offered similar pricing so I stopped staying there even before covid . Yes , we can take advantage of cheap rates and book rooms for possible short time engagement. I did it with The Venue this trip and with Furama Silom and some hotel on Beach Rd in Pattaya in December and utilized them way it was intended, Actually in Venue it was whole , steamy night( A/C was working )as reported already.

right, I you reported you offed somebody short time and reported tipping him 8877 or even just 8800 rest assured you would be stoned by some within hour of arrival just for spoiling market for others
-
it's exactly why I like him, at least in the picture. In order to follow on that I need to see that spark in the eye and / or the smile directed at me
-
that and result of rising fuel prices. We can't do much other than comb for relative bargains or just give up and see what market forces will bring us to. My sister lives in country half way between me and Thailand and price to fly there is almost the same so for me Thailand is still like bargain
-
that calculation I always have in mind when looking for prices of flights to Thailand

# me too day without off or at least massage is vacation day lost. Happened to me in my early days but then I saw mistake of wasting passing days. Of course my trip are somewhat short 1-2 weeks , one coming for month or two can afford being less stiff with time. As for jet-lag , my worst day is usually third and with age I noticed is getting worse and worse

I'm not good with technology I guess

Min's tidbits about my Thailand and Vietnam experiences
vinapu replied to Min's topic in Gay Thailand
I suspected that but chimed in with advice as I don't want readers to make mistake of forcing one boy on another I once did -
no , but in Dec I rented room there for the first night anticipating I may be able to off somebody after result of tests will arrive and not being sure my quarantine hotel will accept guests. All went according to script, I got a boy from Jupiter and we went to Furama Silom , Room was big indeed, I did not stay for breakfast as boy did not want long time . What I did not like is them asking for 1000 baht deposit on check in but I'm not sure they still do it. I don't mind staying there in the future, walk from bars is not that far as you said

Min's tidbits about my Thailand and Vietnam experiences

nice report and even nicer to read as I was there few weeks ago and recall easily farang with three boys, they were there every evening and cheerful gentleman in wheelchair with whom I shared table for a while. as for taking two boys to do each other for 275th time I repeat , in such a case best way is to pick up one guy and let him chose another one , subject to our approval. -
it was perhaps me in my Dec report or z909 who reported staying there as well. I don't have any emotional attachment to Tarntawan as in it's glory gay days it was on costly side and I rarely stay there prefering Nantra Silom or Raya instead. I read those mixed reviews online but can't confirm anything negative . As far as I'm concerned everything - A/C , safety box , refrigerator , kettle and Tv was working (I don't watch Tv but one of boys turned it on only to meet my scornful eye). Price wise Tarntawan is cheaper , I don't have any service issues with either. Tartawan's better location is mixed blessing as passing by all those massage shops soliciting business is tiring and I think I like bit backward Furama's Sathorn location better. At end of day I think I like Furama better because rooms are bigger and I like their balconies and gladly pay that 200-300 per night more to stay there. I don't know why but I just feel better there. It's like Copa and Ambiance , identical places at the same location and I like Copa 11 times out of 10. Why? I don't know.

Day 14 Today we waked up in time to consume breakfast in hotel. I could see that K is very careful with what he eats . He knows that his body is his earning asset and not only takes very good care about himself but also mentioned few of his bar friends who are slacking in body maintenance and it unfortunately shows. Breakfast in Furama Sathorn is not opulent but adequate with choice of farang and Asian dishes and I consider it to be good value. I went for a stroll to Lumpini and around noon returned to the room as I was expecting repeat visit from Besty, guy who found me on Grindr and offered massage. We met him already in day 6 . Like before he arrived on the dot. Today’ massage was as good as week ago and afters even better , I suspect that he kind of likes me, definitely was not in rush to go. Unfortunately when I investigated long time option he politely declined ‘ short time is better”. Few days ago Christian PFC alerted me about some ghost festival in Makasan’s railway yards so I , railway man by heart for entire life , couldn’t let it pass by even if my interest in ghosts is non existing. I went there by BTS and then airport link to Ratchaprop station and then walked. What surprised me was that it was well attended by ghost lovers and railway buffs, free admission , temperature and proof of vaccination check at the gate. With great interest I surveyed old steam engines and railway carriages, some well restored , others just abandoned to their fate. One of those I used as a place to eat lunch I purchased on the site and as often on those kind of festivals, public seem to be mostly interested in eating something judging but brisk trade food stalls made. Then made quite a walk along ARL line through part of Bangkok rarely visited even if it’s just steps from airport line . There it looked as third world’ backwater city even with all those skyscrapers in the background. Dilapidated houses, muddy alleys, dark shops selling only basics but also certain charm of being authentic. Around Makasan station civilization appeared again and all that stroll with injection of oxygen into brain from walking in the open gave me an idea that since I’m close to Sukhumvit area, why not to visit Jey Spa in soi 43. It was fast hop on MRT plus BTS, 10 minutes stroll and I was in front of familiar townhouse where spa is located. As I mentioned in my December report there’s no sign but shoes in front of entrance are betraying the place. I was hoping that Ken2 ( numbered because they have another Ken there as well as he explained), guy I had in December will be there. Mamasan inside explained that if I did not make reservation they have only 3 guys on duty but one of them turned to be familiar face. So Ken 2 it is. He did not recall me, even if I told him we met 5 months ago and that I remember he has scar from appendix removal surgery. Massage fee 800, his minimum tip for 1.5 session 1800, one can see that spa is located in somewhat upscale area of the city , full of gated villas and condos. But massage and after service were excellent, guy very well but not overwhelmingly built and good conversationalist as a bonus so I gave him 2000 and left very happy. Today I had plan to go to Moonlight, if only because one of their floor guys, A, very muscular guy whom I offed in the past few times somehow learned I’m in Bangkok and sent me Line message he is missing me . No doubt, no doubt. So I went. First to see me was Bee, my first off in December, right after I was released from hotel prison waiting for test results. Soon on the stage I noticed not one but two guys smiling at me , A was one but also Myanmarese , very funny and talkative guy I offed from Hot Male in December for private show with T. Since guys are rotating by two , soon A left the stage and approached me so I invited him for a drink. He did not waste much time and asked me right away if he can go with me today, option which was on the table in my mind but he suggested tip which was more than I could pay tonight being bit depleted of cash . This did not derail him and he said I can pay him in dollars but I got brighter idea and told him I will return tomorrow to pick him up. For tonight I decided who will be listening to my snoring for more agreeable compensation. So when A returned to the stage I lined infallible V if he is available, of course he was asking for few minutes as he just came back from work ( he has full time shift job in some supermarket or mall ). I finished my drink , smiled at A and Bee who happen to be on the stage and left to meet V in front of 7/11 in soi 3. What surprised me was that he was coming from direction of my hotel like he knew. I suspected some intelligence work but explanation was simpler- it turned out he lives in the parallel soi. As always great time including polite question if he can rape me but answer was negative. Whenever I off him I always have feeling that he is grateful for an extra income and tries to be good boy as to secure next time. So day 14 finished in familiar and assuring embraces

those miscreants are doing that most likely because they find more interesting things to do on vacations than spend hours typing reports. Which is very hard when only one hand is available because other is holding somebody's cock.
-
thank you, there's no day in trip like first day when we have a chance to walk through familiar sois , hear sounds we were missing and smell fragrants we never forgot

Air Canada adding new YVR (Vancouver) to BKK route
vinapu replied to fedssocr's topic in The Beer Bar
I always look for price and total trip time from first take off to last landing and don't care where trip will be broken since we don't have non-stop flights to Bangkok from my local airport I see from my balcony. So I need to suffer flight changes hell or high water. -
Min's tidbits about my Thailand and Vietnam experiences
vinapu replied to Min's topic in Gay Thailand
I like that, I believe going a little bit over market signalized to guy he did good job and chances are lesson won't be lost on him I do that in every bar, it's why I like 7/11 and XOne exchange on Suriwong where I can always ask for couple thousands in 100 and 500 notes Great thread by the way, too bad I had busy day and could read it only now -

my thoughts and actions exactly. I use mamasans only if I need translation (very rarely) or if I need to ask them to call guy who is absent from the bar ( even rarer and outcome is usually disappointing). Exception is former mamasan from Screwboys , now at Freshboys who helped me a lot in the past so I feel like slipping her 50 or 100 from time to time just for breathing -

condom size suitable for guy in question

I always forget the name even if I spent thousands there over years dining with every second guy I ever offed. And some of guys don't feel any need to restrain themselves when ordering on my tab . Now I watch more carefully and I'm not shy to say no, too much or too expensive. K's son is 3 or 4 if that much and yes , he is a baby. Obviously K was very drunk , perhaps too drunk. What you guys did to my boy? He was sober all the time with me, rarely even drinking beer and one can the most. Drinking whisky or in fact all spirits in shot glasses is what I do so you made him even more endeared to me . Drinking whisky in cup with mixers just dilutes alcohol and experience. Remember Vinapu cocktail 60% of gin and 40% of gin.

yes, one guy who wanted to walk on opposite side of the street was stopped by acquaintances at least 4-5 times on our way from Tawan to Raya so obviously he was well known in the area. He was DJ in one of bars in soi Twilight for few years, at least it's what he told me . Second guy who wanted to walk separately did it to save his reputation among customer girls, he did not want to be seen walking to hotel with guy. I don't remember it was him or mamasan who explained it to me but it was fine, I went to Classrooms by the Cupidol , he went by ABomb and we met at the door. I'm not embarrassed to walk with guys but understand some may be. Some boys are dressed very telling way. I imagine passerby's are thinkin ' that old guy forgot his cane and asked that man to escort him to the room in case he can't walk' or something to this tune . Or I imagined in the past until I heard comment in a language I understand very well " look at this grey guy how handsome lad he got, I wonder who will fuck whom " to which I answered immediately in the same language " thank you , he is my chauffer . As for masks, again you are right, I just published story of guy I spotted crosssing street at Lumpini who looked very handsome but when he came to my room day ort two after and took mask off , it turned to be very off the mill .

K-Man in Saphan Kwai area, Jey Spa sukhumvit soi 43, VCK in Ari area ,Sabaidee spa in soi Pluk Chit 9 hopefully not affected by recent fire in area, few men only shops in Silom soi 6, I-Come in soi Suan Plu. Tawan bar offers massage during day. This is just to name a few, nothing guaranteed , everything possible is mindset you should have visiting those places . Place may be full service but tops or bottoms available at time of your visit may not rock your boat or even worse , you may not rock their boats . Be flexible and smile a lot
-
yes, soi Pluk Chit is where Sabaidee Spa and Sanctuary by A are. That's crowded community indeed so I can imagine panic in those burning low rises. Main soi is usually blocked by vendors so firefighters had it tough indeed
