thank you thank you for the warning and hope others will learn from your misfortune. Lesson coming from that is don't relay on plastic money only and have stash of cash on you wherever you travel. Cars are getting rejected by machines and terminals but people always accept cash. Reminds me my trip last year where I left my cards at home by neglect. Fortunately I followed my own advice above so fun was not undiminished and it turned out I had friend in BKK at the same time who was able to help me without asking any questions.

I always say and will repeat here again : internet forgets nothing. Those problems may surface not only when somebody will be running for the office or will be person in position in business , academia, arts etc, it carries also potential of ruining of person's family life - imagine discovering what beloved father did when he was in university. On another hand we may discover in future That society will move on and things carrying certain stigma now may be irrelevant in not so even distant future, many not so long ago closeted gays are now proudly announcing ' this is my husband". The same may happen to people who are prostituting themselves to go through university. Quite possible that my father who always said ' prostitution is job like any other and at least job is not dusty ' may turn out to be visionary.

don't underestimate Thais. Few years ago I reported here in the forum visiting future site of My Hero at old Hero place two days before advertising re-opening. It looked like construction site , not almost finished venue and yet 2 days later as scheduled place was opened and staffed, only thing I recall missing were no hooks to hang my clothes and towel in a massage room but floor was clean and door knob handy

What's you favorite stopover city to/from Thailand?

1. if there's luggage storage facility in the airport / big if ? / I'd leave luggage there. Otherwise at railway / bus station it may be one. Third option is to look for some big shopping mall as they often have luggage storage facilities. Option # 4 is to rent room in cheap hotel close to the departing point and keep your luggage there , that is option I used few times when stopover was quite long like 6-10 hours. Option 5 is to arrange with airline that your luggage will be tagged through to destination. Option 6 is just to suffer in silence and carry luggage with you - lesser problem for those who, like me , are travelling light. Option 7 which I used quite a few times in my younger travelling years was just to leave luggage in the airport or railway station somewhere and hope for the best - it always worked for me. Unfortunately not because of terror scares that option is not valid anymore and unattended luggage may lead not only thief into temptation but us to bigger trouble. 2. do whatever we do when we go downtown in our own cities - shopping malls , restaurants, churches, metro stations , railway and bus stations, public parks , bigger stores, museums usually have something. Look for construction sites - portables may be open and accessible Otherwise look for bushes, not suitable in winter where's no foliage .And look at option 4 in point 1 above. Be prepared by not eating and drinking too much before you set for your sightseeing -
If places like Agoda or Expedia are taking bookings I'd not be reluctant to book but if you still are perhaps you can fire an e-mail to the hotel just to make sure

Seoul airport used to offer free tours for passengers in longer transit and probably they still do . In Shanghai to go to the city you need to get 168 hours free transit visa but procedure is very efficient. All those transit airports are big one with lots of traffic so allow plenty of time for immigration and security lines. If you ask me , unless you are familiar with the city, forget about transit sightseeing , find connection with little wait time and leave sightseeing for proper trip in future, otherwise it may be nerve wrecking experience -
for us as far as I can see there is solution to this, bring more money, shorten your vacation or watch your spending carefully or any combination of those. No reason to abandon Kingdom in it's hour of need

always and in any case whoever is thinking about threesome should clear it with both guys in questions as it may be for many reason that even very adventurous guys will not be keen on threesome, not only with their bar friends bur also with complete strangers. On another hand never assume that because they are friends or just work together they will not be interested, always ask or pray that it will be actually boys who will come with that idea like two guys who on learning that I have birthday came with such great idea to celebrate it, LOL

those in BKK between mid Aug to an actual event should pay attention to rehearsal dates and timing as apart from two full dress it will be 10 minor rehearsals as well and river traffic may be closed 4 hours in advance.

watch for mirrors in the room, few years ago one of our posters in his travel report on old forum placed proudly picture of his boy in the room. Poster's face was clearly reflected in the glass wall of the shower stall, somebody alerted him but I don't remember if he asked to remove picture or just shrugged it off. Years ago , not on this forum in either version but somewhere else I recall hearing about commotion about well known poster's ChristianPFC face pick placed somewhere by other poster he met just for a chat. So not only boys may be indiscreet, we are not any better sometimes.

make sure you know where his phone is. You may not notice but he may try to record your fun together. Once I noticed that my guy takes great care about how his phone is positioned on the desk beside the bed. I did not say anything because I liked him but ostensibly covered it with my baseball hat, he did not say anything either. When we met next time few days later his phone was nowhere to be seen so I think message was received. I never even ask to take boys pictures , never mind record our time together , on another hand sometimes they ask me to take their pictures and sometimes I oblige although not necessarily keep them. One even asked me to take souvenir picture of his impressive and rigid member ( no, I will not share it , LOL )

# me too, only recently I noticed that trend and my NO was firm , angry sounding and loud. Few years ago I recommended boy to one of our members from old forum. While service was good as expected he did not like boy and experience. Reason? Boy showed him several pictures of his clients, nothing compromising but he recognized one or two faces actually as guys he saw in passing somewhere around boy bars

I wonder what did he do so they locked him up ?

this is exactly what I had in mind. I'd not call Sweden totalitarian state but that law certainly is.

I'd not be that radical, as per Wikipedia they got 33 medals , 9 of them gold ( in men's boxing and women's weightlifting ) Sure country of that size should do better but there are more populous countries with even less take. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thailand_at_the_Olympics

I'd object if they wanted to post our pictures identyfying us as their customers. In some countries it may lead to legal problems
