I share your assessment of Screwboys, one never knows what you would find. Despite them being twink kingdom I always visit them hoping One / that the boy's nick / my best off ever and star of my Dec 2014 trip will return . He was everything but not twink , easily could be in Tawan . Mamasans can be bit nuisance but I tolerate and tip them 20-50 baht because in the past I found them helpful. ( for you youngsters, Laos was neutral during Vietnam war and it's bombing was illegal and hidden from American public) but it's true it has some old times atmosphere with old fashioned bar and old pictures on the walls. So advice to OP is : don't make those mistakes and when in Cambodia see st least some temples , you may discover you are falling in love with ancient ruins , not boys

my statistic sample is not that big but in several cases I had an advance appointment with boy I noticed some pattern, not sure it reflect's Christian's above - If I offed boy already this trip I'm pretty sure he will come on time and mostly on the dot. Problems are starting with boys previously unknown or offed on previous trips. My advice I'm applying to myself is to give them time you will wait for him till ie. " come to my room at 3 but if you won't be here by 3.30 I'm going to have massage at Senso so don't bother". don't be discouraged by rumors and go and check for yourself.
