won't be a problem at all in the bangkok gogo bars or dj station. they've seen it all before....

I'm baffled by a lot of this. I think that the "full service" M4M massage shops are indeed brothels. Certainly at the main such shops the masseur is naked from the start. As long as you confirmed role/price ahead of time, then that agreed-upon sex is what you are getting. The quality of the massages may vary, but most are good to very good sensual massages. This would include, but would not be limited to, Arena, Prince, VCK, Bangkok, Bonny, My Hero, Spa Sathorn. You wouldn't go to one of those places for a sports massage. Personally, I think the guys who work at Prince and VCK are as good looking as any that work at Dream Boys, but of course de gustibus..... At some of the more rarified boutiques M4M full service shops, the masseur may start somewhat clothed, but as long as the role/price are agreed ahead of time, full on sense will be the natural conclusion of the massage. This would include, but would not be limited to Baantewa, Leo Spa, Nine, Senso, Urban Male. For most pictures can be readily found of the guys who work there. You can decide if they are good looking enough. All part of the Bangkok buffet for men. You pay extra for a massage at one of these shops, just like you pay extra for the "shows" at the go-go bars. Each of us can decide on whether it's worth it. The apps involve their share of frustrations and risks. Personally I like a mix.

there's a tab "deliberate omissions" and there you'll see why i deliberately left off Banana Club. BTW to all concerned, I tried to make it clear that it's just a group of shops that I have picked, so I'm not particularly looking for people to tell me what I "forgot" or "missed". If you want to add reviews and similar information for shops that are not on my list, that's a great service for the Board.

To get to spots further away I usually am lazy and take and Uber or Grab Taxi. Lat Prao shops I'll usually head over by klong boat and then hang out in the neighborhood for a an hour or so. But there's a point where it just seems silly to travel far when so many places are easy to reach by BTS. I almost put The Bridge in but I really wanted to go back another time before adding it. I liked it (and it's predecessor shop). I agree the oil gets things too messy. There are a few guys at Prince who just wind up the massage portion and say, "ok, shower now and sex" -- and we both shower. I like that approach. I've had a couple of other guys be very careful to wipe off as much of the oil as possible. THat's good too too. At other shops I've had masseurs who will wash off the oil just off themselves. A couple of weeks ago I had the opposite experience (at Bangkok Massage) where the guy slapped on way too much oil. Another problem with oil is the guys are less reluctant to lick/kiss/whatever the parts with lots of oil on. I"m pretty easy to satisfy, so my absolute failure rate with masseurs is probably low - 10% or less. Probably 25% are just great at everything as far as I am concerned. For me this is usually measured by their enthusiasm. The middle 65% are fine but didn't rock my world or maybe seemed a bit mechanical. Right now there are about 4-5 guys at different shops that I think of as regulars and try to see at least once a month, but don't always get a chance to.

Thanks for the report. I think the first times are almost always awkward. It takes the edge off and future experiences can be more fun.

thanks for the great report and thanks for living life to the fullest. An inspiration

thanks. I don't make it to Pattaya very often so I can't do anything similar for Patts. Maybe someone else can carry the shamelessmack torch there....

+1 these are delightful well written reports that do a great job of taking us through your experience/learning. They are a great source for people new to the scene and a particularly nice reminder to all that it's about having fun. You have a great attitude. Much appreciated.

no you are wrong. wrong. wrong. wrong. short time does not mean however long we hang out together plus sex. it means short time, which typically means ending around 3:00. so you are wrong. wrong. wrong. and there i go feeding the troll. shame on me.

I think that should be true except for the residual "rub and ??" category. Some of those are miscellaneous or I haven't confirmed it.

I didn't forget some of those shops. I made a decision not to include them. I think Anddy's got the right idea - if people want to add to the database then do so with reviews and info.

i think this is the most recent discussion of that question. not sure i have anything to add. http://www.gaythailand.com/forums/topic/11457-best-massagespa-for-twink-lovers/?hl=%2Btwink+%2Bmassage

good catch on the typo on the complex/plaza thing. for prime - i was making the point not to expect and i meant exactly that and that's why i said it that way. in previous discussions about the prime on this board i have noted that i've had happy endings there, for oil massage and thai massage. I think the problem is the more the prospect of a happy ending is dangled out there then the greater the chance that someone might go with that expectation and then end up disappointed. That's what I was trying to avoid so, again, that's why I said don't expect. As for oil massages there, well yes of course and that's fine, but i think they are basically par with lots of places for that in and out of thailand. But what prime stands out for is Thai massage, so that'w what i was recommending. Spa Bangkok I believe says that they encourage "generous" tips. Personally I think good advice in general.

Right now I live with a direct view of Prince and all its comings and goings. For fear of being caught by my current local guy - who lives on the same soi - I haven't been able to go recently, but I am happy to report Prince has been doing a bang up business this weekend with the influx of young Asian super gays for New Years/White Party weekend. thanks to all for nice thoughts.

Some years ago Shamelessmack put a blog out with lots of info on massage shops in Bangkok, which I found very helpful. A while back I put together a spreadsheet with some updated information. For various reasons that format hasn't really worked for me. Instead, I've updated the information and put it on a blog, which for a few reasons is easier for me. Experienced readers/users can ignore most of it. Actually all are free to ignore all of it. But for the newbies might be some useful info. Happy 2018 https://bkkmassages.wordpress.com/shop-specifics/

? Maybe I've lucked out but in the times I've been there I've been in two different rooms and one had a private bath with shower and the other just a private shower. Never had to wait or leave the room.

I can't say for sure, but my assumption is that 600 would be HJ.

The manager just quoted the 600/1,000 tip. I take that to mean 1,000 for 60 minutes and for longer massage it should be more. To make it simple I follow the rule of making it directly proportional (1,500 for 90 minutes) but I don' think it has to be,

thanks. he did not shower after with me but he was sort of in and out cleaning up. I tend not to care too much for the showering together bit unless it really is necessary to clean off the oil. This shop - and some of the other better shops - use such a high quality aroma therapy oil that it doesn't leave that oily residue and cleaning up is easy.

The other day I had great visit to Sanctuary Spa by A in Bangkok. It's another of the smaller/mid-size shops. Good massage. Great masseur. Fantastic time. Highly recommend. Sanctuary Spa is in one of the City Court buildings just of Rama 4. https://goo.gl/maps/wAfN1LRc9bm There are a couple of other massage shops in the same overall complex(Candle T; Sabaidee). To get to those other shops you enter the garage/car park and they are on the right. To get to Sanctuary Spa you go past the garage entrance (as you are coming from Rama 4) and take the first side street on the right. The entrance to the shop is on the right. There's a sign. You walk through a jungle-like agglomeration of plants, which is cute and certainly makes the place a bit more discreet. I had not booked ahead. 7:30 on a weeknight (of a holiday week), there were about 7-8 guys available. Around the same time I showed up two local customers were also there. I think that is the typical customer base, although clearly foreigners are 100% welcome. You select from photos on a phone. All good looking different types. I would say all mid-to-late 20s, but really, who can tell. The shop regularly updates who is available on Line. Line ID sanctuaryspa The very nice calm manager (A?) was more than happy to say who was "man/top," etc. That wasn't the most important thing on my mind, and I had forgotten my glasses, so the photos were a bit of a blur. Following the old rule for selecting wine, I chose the second to last photo. The rooms are very clean and modern. A bit on the smaller side. Very nice large shower and sink in the room. Linens very nice. Nothing shabby or run down about this place at all. I showered (alone), waited a bit for the masseur. As so often happens, he was better looking than I expected. Masseur fully clothed. I have a pretty standard routine for new shops. 90 minute aroma/oil. It's easy to fill a 60 minute massage time. 90 minutes the real skill comes out. I just go with the flow, let him take the lead and enjoy. I think the real downside of micromanaging a massage is that it takes him off his stride. This is particularly true with someone who is new to me. After the first time I think they are more comfortable and know me a bit and it's easier to say "less here--more here." There was possibly a little too much time on the calves, which is the curse of 90 minute massages. I almost said "enough already" but he moved on. After the lengthy calf rubdowns everything was much better and more balanced so I am very happy that I didn't say anything. Really, really happy. The massage was not rushed at all and then the masseur expertly and aggressively moved to the special stuff. Just great. I was actually a little bit surprised. The guy was either a really voracious sexual animal or one of the greatest actors of our time. Oh, to be young again. 90 minute aroma/oil is 900 baht. (60 minutes/90 minutes/120 minutes = 600/900/1,200 baht, I believe). I asked and the minimum tip is 600 for regular. For "special" it's 1,000 baht. Comparable to similar shops. You can buy a pack of five 90 minute massages for 3,500, which brings the cost down to a very nice 700 baht each. Of course I did that. Overall very happy and definitely belongs high on the list for repeat visits. Very nice facilities. Chill relaxed vibe. Good hard working masseurs. And there is a great street food scene all along the street leading up to the shop.

Quite possibly my favorite line of the year.
