I would like some advice about whether sending some condolence money (?) to a boy after the passing of his father would be appropriate, welcomed, or if the whole idea is absurd. I did offer (as we send some money in our country even if we cannot attend the funeral and I am of the understanding there is a similar culture in laos), but his reply was vague and left me directionless.
 
For context: we are not of long acquaintance, but at the beginning of a 2-month-long trip that started approximately 2 and a half months ago, we met (or rather we saw each other) at one of the bars, and over the course of my travels I managed to off him 3 times. My only regret was not meeting him more in lieu of other boys; indeed, I was considering flying to bkk next weekend to see him again as I knew that he would return home soon after songkran. Reaching out via Line to check his schedule was when I learned of the passing of his father.
 
He was not the one who proffered this information, but his profile pic was one that suggested of such an event, and I was the one who initiated the exchange. Upon which I learned he had returned only a couple of days I had left bkk, over two weeks ago, and the funeral had already concluded.
 
I have yet to have any friends whose parents have passed (apart from one instance in middle school), and this is wholly uncharted territory for me, made complicated more so by the nature of our relationship. I am fully aware he is a prostitute, it is not a good idea to offer or send money, and that our relationship is likely to never develop past the client-service provider stage. However, I think most would agree that the passing of a father is not a typical event, and despite the aforementioned reasons I cannot help but wanting to help him out during what must be a difficult time to say the least (he is the only son, I think). As insignificant as the gesture must be I cannot think of any other way that would aid him in his grief.
 
I did ask him if he needed anything, and later directly asked him if he needed money for the funeral arrangements or condolence money. His reply was that he is grieving the loss currently and doesn't know what else to tell me. Any further probes from me must feel like a violation during what must be an agonizing time I cannot begin to comprehend, and I am hesitant to reach out again. Any advice on how to proceed, or even just how to provide comfort, meager it may be, to someone who has lost a loved one would be greatly appreciated. Or alternatively, please feel free to tell me how stupid I am to be considering sending money to a bar boy I've stayed together for a total of 3 grand times.

As my business is now closed already for 6 weeks due to Covid-19, I am getting bored and take some time to write a report about my latest trip to LOS.
During winter, some take a shortski for a long weekend. I don’t like that, so I have booked a 5 day 4 nights trip to Bangkok at the end of January: leaving on Thursday evening after office hours, taking an overnight flight to BKK arriving on Friday afternoon and leaving Tuesday morning and be home on Tuesday evening. Back in the office on Wednesday morning, only missing 3 work days.
As I only have a direct flight with Thai leaving at noon and arriving at 6 AM in BKK, I had to take a connecting flight. Last year, I used Aeroflot through Moscow, but this time Finnair was the cheapest, only 505 EUR.
The day before departure, I got an email from Finnair that my flight was overbooked and offering compensation for voluntary denied boarding. Didn’t react to it, as I was not sure which leg of my flight was overbooked. After my first flight to Helsinki, I got the same email for the second time. Looked at the departures in Helsinki and noticed there was a Finnair flight to Moscow, which would give a nice connection to the Aeroflot flight to BKK I used last year. Arrival difference in BKK was about 3 hours, and I would still have my full first evening. I volunteered, and had to choose between 300 EUR cashback on my credit card or a flight voucher of 500 EUR. Hesitated a bit, but choose the 500 EUR flight voucher valid for 1 year. 3 hours less in BKK, but probably my next trip for free…
Friday evening
As usual, I have booked a suite on the top floor of the Raya Surawong hotel. I really like that hotel and all the boys know it.
It is so sad to see Soi Twilight closed, but I’m up to discovering the new bars. But first, I decide to go to Golden Cock bar. I am lucky and get into some hot action with 3 of the boys. I really like that they are so open to each other. I left happy and gave a nice tip to the 3 boys.
Afterwards, I visited Lucky Boys, which I really like. Even when crowded, it feels like you have enough air to breed, as it has many seats and a very high ceiling. Just noticed this tour video of 1/0 Sauna so thought i'd share, I didn't get time to check it out on my last trip but I would be interested to hear if anyone has been to find out if it gets busy and the types of guys there.
There is also a I/0 Sauna in Taiwan, not sure if they're related?

This happened one month ago in May. My 3rd trip to Bangkok this year in fact.
I normally spend 1 to 2 weeks on holiday in Bangkok at end of year but this year I started taking shorter trips in other months.
The first trip was a weekend in February. I went to celebrate friend's birthday. As I could pack light, I didn't take taxi but instead took airport train to Silom on Friday evening. I stayed at new Hotel Nishitestsu Croom until Sunday. My regular guy was back in Vietnam to celebrate Tet so I met another guy  for both nights. They know each other casually. Saturday night was dinner gathering with some favourite forum members at G's. We even took a nice group photo. After that was a trip together to Atlas before we split up to Freshboys and Hot Male. Eventually we met at Foodland again for supper before going back happily with our guys.

Now to 3rd trip. This was a special trip to celebrate 50th birthday. I took 4pm Singapore Airlines flight from Singapore and arrived 2 hours later. Like the first weekend trip in February, I packed light. I took airport train. Once I reached Sala Daeng BTS, I walked to Ibis Styles Hotel. First time staying at this hotel. Small room but clean and functional. I chose it for the rooftop pool. I had booked it for 3 nights late last year.
After checking in, I crossed Silom Road to go to Adam Massage for booking at 8pm. Thoroughly refreshed, I went to Foodland Patpong supermarket to get a birthday cake.
At 9.30pm, I entered Freshboys. Mamasan was happy to see me back. Lots of seats available as only about 5 other customers at that early time. I took front row seats facing the stage. Two waiters prepared the birthday cake on the table. 50 candles. My regular guy joined me and sat next to me. I also invited 4 other guys down from the stage. I bought drinks for all of them. Once candles were ready, my regular guy and I lighted them. The DJ played Happy Birthday song - the hilarous and fun Thai version. I cut the cake and we ate while catching up. I told mamasan I would pay off fees for my regular guy for 3 nights. Once we finished eating the cake, I settled my bill. I tucked 200 baht each into the front of the shorts of the guys seated with me. One of them cheekily pulled his shorts wide open for me to tuck the notes in! I also tipped mamasan and waiters. I said goodbye to them and I will see them again.
It was not even 10pm but I was out of Freshboys, happy with the person I had come to Bangkok to celebrate my birthday with.

The boys on stage at Freshboys where fully dressed tonight jeans or trousers and white tee shirts.  Still offable and the show seemed uneffected.
Dont know if it is just tonight or for a couple of nights, was difficult to get that confirmed.
I think there has been an issue with the police from what I did pick up.
Dreamboys and Goodboys both uneffected.
If people with better contracts could follow up.  
Will report back when the issue resolves.
