What do you guys do the night before departure?
Last night I had in Jomtien was in early May and I took the advice to take Taxi to Airport from Jomtien rather than go to BKK for one night. That was good advice as it's cheaper and more convenient 👍🏼 I often wonder who names are on here or whether I have actually met them at all.....I frequented the 'At home Bar' in May 22 and had a great time there 👍🏼

On the corner directly opposite the entrance to The Agate.......there is no sign. It is a cheap restaurant with mainly Cambodian community

Can never be 100% all the time
I had one boy a few years ago who I offed and I remember it odd that he followed me to the hotel like 10 metres behind as we walked. In the room he was just cold and disinterested and I did not cum. He sucked me for 2 minutes and that was that and I gave him 800 baht as it was so poor. ( If it was good I would have given 1500 baht and that was 7 years ago Upon realising he had got a poor tip for a poor time he went angry and grabbed my Go- Pro camera and began to run. I grabbed him and got the camera back and he ran out of the hotel. I reported it to hotel reception who saw him running past. Since then I am a bit wary in BKK and never had this problem in Jomtien 👍🏼

The agate hotel or East suites Jomtien
I stayed in the Agate in April/ May this year and was 1000 baht per night without breakfast. Half the hotel was closed off and just the one lovely pool. Staff were faultless. Lovely people. Yes, happy for guests and I had a few, but no identification needed as the boys were local and knew the staff. Fabulous to come out of the hotel into the gay surroundings for breakfast at Rolins Cambodian restaurant right outside and have a massage watching the boys wake up and come out for a walk 💓 However, I have booked a another flight in October and the prices at the Agate have more than tripled and are now way too pricey for me.....3000 baht per night 😩

A Walk Around Gay Bangkok - September 5, 2020
As above......thanks for the ongoing reports.......they really are great to read ! I can't help feeling sorry for the boys, knowing how difficult life is for them anyway, prior to lockdown / virys :-( It really must be so difficult whilst we in other places in the world find that our pocket money grows and cannot be spent. The guys still have to pay rent and bills without many customers poor boys :-( I'd like to give them all a massive virtual HUG from Wales xxx

Finally retiring and travelling to Asia in Feb 2018
Thank you. I have read this advice elsewhere too nd it concerns me. My plan actually is 'no plan' as such and just drift to other places as and when I am ready to move on so planning where I will be is jot set in stone as a such. Youngsters must be more confident than I am as they have their gap years at 21 yrs and now I am having this gap year (or even longer) at 51 yrs, I am having what we British people call 'Butterflies'

Finally retiring and travelling to Asia in Feb 2018
Hi guys I have been an avid reader of these forums for some time now and I am becoming very excited now as I have a one way ticket booked to tour around Asia and I will be starting off in Bangkok. I have been a few times with friends on holiday doing a few touristy things but only for a couple of nights at the start of each holiday. I'd like to do as much of Bangkok as I can in Feb for say 2-3 weeks before moving on possibly up North towards Laos. As my ticket is one way I would like as many tips as possible to maximise opportunities everywhere. Can I begin by asking what is the best location to be based for the gay areas and does someone know of reasonable accommodation? Also, I would be grateful to meet up with any of you who would be around at that time ( Feb onwards) Kind regards Al

Further drop in the value of the British Pound
Thanks for your reply sir .... I have been to the Philippines twice now initially to Bohol 2 years ago........which was stunning and last Xmas / New Year to a beautiful gathering of Islands called Palawan.....voted in the top 10 most idyllic places in the world and I agree. Stunning ! However what I did notice in the Philippines was that the way of life is more laid back.....the customer service can be shockingly bad and I didn't find the country particularly cheap. Lots of things are way more expensive than the UK and I do feel for the population as they earn low wages. My Philippine partner is coming with me on a tour of Thailand on 25 March and can't wait to show him the lovely people and food of Thailand. I think the draw of the people and food (and of course cute boys) still steers me to Thailand. Maybe just got to take the low exchange rate on the chin . It is early days with Brexit so hopefully things will change as time goes on.

Further drop in the value of the British Pound
This is a really informative and interesting thread. Sadly not one that helps me make my mind up as to my plans in 11 months. I love Thailand........the food, the people, the weather, the general feel good factor of being there. However, seeing the pointers about the exchange rate and high prices makes me feel prematurely that my bubble is being burst before even retiring there for say 6 months of the year from Feb 2018. Despite the drop in the pound post Brexit.....what would forum members advise me?...... I have been told before that Vietnam is like Thailand was 20 years ago......but when I have been there on 2 separate occasions, the spoken English doesn't seem as good but I do find the boys cute enough Please advise . Thank you
