No wonder when bars are closed and almost no tourists are coming bar boys and freelancers have no choice but trying desperately to find customers at the apps.

For a country used to receive millions of tourists every month the current entered numbers are almost nothing in comparison.

Yes that's correct but not only in Bangkok but at Pattaya and Phuket too , the decline started around 2014-15 and from there went down hill . It's obvious that boys prefer to freelance at on-line apps without commitment to bars and without bosses telling them what to do.

Maybe if that is the only reason a person is traveling to Thailand for haunting boys and grab them to long term in room , otherwise traveling to a country which banned alcohol and opening of entertainment venues and more other redilucious restrictions seems very depressing idea.

Travelling to Thailand is not only for haunting boys , It's the night life , vibrant entertainment venues sightseeing and so on government restrictions killed it all I don't see any reason to visit Thailand on the upcoming high season when the restrictions are still going on.

I agree but another turn off is the closure of entertainment venues till mid of January ( and in my opinion it will be longer than that because the current Thai government is determined to change the Thai int'l image to family friendly destination) I love Thailand and pay many visits over the past twenty years but the current situation and restrictions is making me wonder if it is still the land of smiles I used to love and cherish ?

This "easy process" and a night quarantine on arrival is a turn off for most potential tourists.

The problem is not with arriving to Thailand but the complicated process to get the Thai pass to enter the country ,at the YouTube video below arriving to Thailand was smooth and easy but it took them nerve-racking weeks to receive the Thai pass .
