A female acquaintance (whom I’ve posted about elsewhere) was trying to cheer herself up this past week, and called three Moonlight staff including Babe to go to a club with her. At some point in the evening she texted my friend to say they were all in her hotel room ordering room service and sends him a photo of Babe curled up in bed next to her. “Wow. What is he doing?” “Playing games on his phone and watching Korean MTV for new dance moves.” “Are you keeping him for the night?” “He says he’ll stay but I’m going to send him home after he’s fed.” “How much does he charge?” “Oh he doesn’t ask me for money.” Needless to say my friend sent her a row of middle finger emoticons. But moral of the story is, Babe is actually an adorable guy who behaves like a college kid not a money boy, once you make friends with him!

Thank you for the excellent and detailed report. A real treat to experience Bangkok again through a first-timer’s eyes, makes me recall the many nights of pleasure afresh!

Another great report. I was underwhelmed by IconSiam too, lacklustre shops, limited dining options- only the view from the restaurant decks and the lower level Thai food stalls make this worthwhile. Otherwise it is a boring replica of Paragon.

I’ve just had a chat with my friends and they’ve asked me not to send out photos where they are in the photo or you can tell which hotel they’re in. So I’ll be responding to those who have already asked and this offer is now off the table. Sorry! Yes I hear you. While I’m not 100% clear on our photo guidelines, I never post anything that has not either been made available on another public site (as in, VERY public and easily searchable), on boy’s own social media, or by the bar. Since my friend is a very regular-regular at Moonlight, I do have some photos that while totally innocent (boys group selfie in hotel room party, Babe drunk on floor of restaurant, boys enjoying post Christmas-show dinner, gym photos, Fake Club) were not posted anywhere and only sent out through Line. These I never post although they are very entertaining. Happy to share a couple by PM though if anyone is interesfed.

Memories...a boy I offed from Moonlight on one of my early visits. Photos were posted on another public forum, so I think there is no harm sharing them here. One of the best looking floor boys in my opinion.

I have no objection to women in bars, and sometimes go with female friends. But I will never off a straight boy who is obviously angling only for female customers and only reluctantly accepts a gay customer as second best. You can tell which lads are “straight” but still enjoy a good romp and a good customer regardless of gender, and those who are only interested in tip and will rush through the proceedings. But I do not know why someone has not created a men only bar. Even a straight boy has told me that professionally speaking, he prefers being offed by men, as they are straightforward to deal with and generous while women are much harder to please.

I assume you are already there, so this answer may be irrelevant now. I was just at the Shangri La a month ago and they are totally fine with joiners. Nor do they mind if you bring them to eat in the restaurant, bar etc. A quick tip if you plan to visit the new IconSiam. The free public boat from Sathorn pier can be a nightmare with a long wait time. Ask to take the Shangri La hotel boat to Peninsula and walk 5 minutes.

I believe you mean Hot Male and Moonlight, not Jupiter? Hot Male and Moonlight are owned by a man, Jupiter by a woman who is apparently married to a high ranking cop. I am only making this distinction because the latest rumour I heard is that the two owners were in talks to possibly merge operations, when the Soi 4 leases expire. Now this would be an interesting development. But sounds somewhat far fetched to me.

Since she has some budget for fun may as well spread the wealth evenly around...and maybe she will come away from this with a “happy ending” after all hahaha. Now I am curious, who is this?

Yes we are encouraging her to go out and splash some of that cash on another boy lol. Preferably one of the Jupiter bar stars who are her type, and charming as heck to women.

The Moonlight grabber is also fond of placing his hands on customers. Once when I went by myself he wrapped his arm around my shoulder and bundled me in as though afraid I would run away lol. We had a good laugh together. But the last time I went, he pretended not to recognise me though I knew he did. Strange fellow. Think he used to be a gogo boy until quite recently.

For people who can only make the time to visit year end (Chinese for example who have limited work leave and need to take advantage of the big national holidays), the still-low (to them) prices and availability of guys makes it worthwhile. But I too am glad I can usually make my trips during low season.

Fortunately she did not pay for any houses, buffalos or grandmothers. Her bank account is slightly dented, her feelings more so. Her first experience that popular boys have multiple regulars and they say “I love you” to all. It’s true the boy was very good to her “taking care” but I am not so sure about love.

Fair enough, but I do not think this is something to sweep aside either. One of the joys of LOS for me is that I have always felt completely safe in terms of my person and belongings. In fact one of the incentives of offing from the big bars is the complete transparency for boy’s identity, place of employment and management. Edit: I have complained before of a boy taking expensive whisky and snacks, which is dishonesty, true, but at no point did I feel my valuables like money, laptop and camera were at risk from him for the above reasons.

Of all the negative publicity a bar could receive - bad offs, overcharging etc - theft would be the worst. I imagine the bars where the owners maintain a higher level of professionalism would be anxious not to gain a reputation. I have heard that some girl bars also sack if a customer complains a girl is HIV+.

Will7272, I am sorry to hear about your terrible experience. I have rarely heard of a case of outright theft. Did you not complain to the Tawan manager? My assumption was that the established bars are quite strict with their boys but I could be wrong. If you have the name or number of the boy, I think you would be justified in posting details here to warn other members. Someone else who should have read Bangkokbois is a female acquaintance. She fell for all the “i love yous” of a charismatic gogo boy and is now in the dumps. While he may have had some genuine affection for her, my friend and I had a good laugh at just how easy it is to be duped by a slickly delivered boyfriend experience.

Let’s not lose sight that this is spoon’s trip report, which he has taken the time to graciously write up for our enjoyment. I for one am looking forward to the next chapter as I’ve never been to LOS over the holiday season.

You did say you were last there 14 years ago!

11.30 would be when the show is winding up or finished, and the floor boys (yes, mostly twinks) go on the rotation. The models may come back on at midnight if they decide to work two shows but you won’t see them from the audience unless they’re sitting with a customer. The show starts at 10.30 and the models usually do a full parade at 10.45. They may also have an earlier parade around 9ish, in jeans not speedos. If you want to try and off Mekhin at Jupiter, go early around 9 to 9.30. If you just want to see the show, it starts at 10.20. I’d suggest going earlier to secure a good seat, say 10 pm. But even if you turn up as the show is starting they will try and seat you. You may also want to have a look in Dream Boy, if no one catches your eye at Jupiter.

Mark thanks for sharing your night. What time did you go to Moonlight? Did you go late and miss the model parade? I cannot imagine anyone describing the models as twinks, they are either muscular or gym fit. If you do go to Jupiter, go early and try to meet 73 Mekhin. He may also be expensive but is good fun for a drink and chat.
