From Bangkok Post today -- u-turn or 360 degree turn? Starting Oct 1, only those who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 or have a negative antigen test result will be allowed to dine-in at restaurants and seek out services deemed a high risk for virus transmission in "dark red" provinces, where maximum Covid-19 restrictions apply. No. Because to many Thais, GAY means bottom, ladyboy, queen etc. Many will answer with "No I am man" meaning "i am gay but top" etc.

Yes size does matter -- big is ugly. Also makes me feel inferiorđŸ˜ƒ

It look as though our beloved Deputy Dictator has been telling porky pies about his deal with AZ and only ordered 30% of what he claims.

Don't wake them up. I first saw this censoring delay during the 'shirt' demonstrations. Objections at the time brought a denial from the government 'nothing to do with us guv'. They claimed that it was TRUE doing it off their own back.

Expats are included in Thailand’s vaccination plan

I wonder what brought the misnamed Spanish Flu to an end in 1920. No vaccines in those days. They did use very crude masks. -
Expats are included in Thailand’s vaccination plan

I don't understand why there aren't vaccine 'factories' springing up all over the world as there is going to be a huge demand for vaccines in the long term. Of course there is enough money in private bank accounts here and abroad (!) to set up more manufacturing facilities as well as a public health service to put the UK's NHS to shame. -

According to an email I received between the end of October and March 2020! BUT reports in the papers today that the government has done nothing so far to order Moderna.

Today, I received an email invitation to register and pay in advance for a pair of Moderna vaccinations. End of October - March 2022! MedPark Hospital is accepting registration for alternative vaccine MODERNA (mRNA Technology) for 3,300 THB (2 doses), available for anyone aged 18 and above. Details, registration, and payment available here: https://medpark.hospital/Moderna The expected arrival date of the vaccine is approximately at end of October 2021 - 31 March 2022, as allocated by GPO. -
Only a few years ago almost daily reports in the Post of Bangkok vocational students in shooting incidents on Bangkok busses. Haven't seen it for ages now.

Bangkok Pride: Meet LGBTQ+ who lead the way for equality in Thailand

Peter, have you considered looking closely into the background of the final Bangkok Pride a few years ago? You might find some explanations there as to why there have been no more. No rumour mongers please. -

Tourist provinces to reopen in October, minister says
Patanawet replied to reader's topic in Gay Thailand
Sorry, I meant not sold in restaurants and bars etc. If businesses are to close like the rest of Thailand at 8 or 9 then Phuket after dark will be a sad place. -

Hear hear. Please keep at least this thread on topic. Let's know if any expats actually get real appointments (mine seems to be 1st of Jan. 1970) and jabs. -

Well, some progress -- maybe. I followed a link (forget where from) that took me to a site where I could register online. Oh, it's called intervac. http://www.thailandintervac.com Amongst other things it lists there, vaccines (2 available now and 2 not). COVID-19 Vaccine Availability Updated on June 6th,2021 Sinovac (Available) AstraZeneca (Available) Johnsons & Johnsons Moderna On completing the form, I got this confirmation: VACCINE BOOKING INFORMATION Date 01 JAN 1970 Place - Time Status Wait for an email confirmation from oicddchotline@gmail.com Make of that what you will. As an aside, the spokesman on the CCSA daily bulletin just said that from today it is not possible for 'walk-in' registrations.. Wait and see I suppose. -

No registration for private jabs yet. Email from Samitivej last night. Greetings from Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital. We regret to inform you that currently we are not open for registration and COVID vaccine is not available at our hospital at this moment. We still do not have information on exactly when, which vaccine(s) will be available to us, how many doses we will be able to procure, or what the price of each dose will be at this point in time. When the information becomes clearer, we will be sure to keep you updated with the details. We thank you for your understanding and patience in the matter very much. Best regards, Thanarat Pichetsuntorn Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital -

The way that I understood the live statement was that within a week or two Thais will be able to drop in at malls etc. closely followed by farang, just as soon as the UK Track and trace Trace system has helped them set up a world beating app.
