    I'm afraid that's right about black cab fares. If you are going to the airport there is the additional £5 drop off fee. Cheapest way, though also slowest, is Piccadilly line which goes through the centre of London. Heathrow express is a rip off!

    No, sorry! I used to enjoy looking at the golf course between the two runways at Don Muang, that I assume is still there. Reserved for the military, I was told.

    Well, corruption underwrote the airport in the first place, I was told. Ministers bought up the land for a song, and the decided to build the airport to make huge profit.

    I remember Paya Lebar, it had a slight dip, ie up and down, in the runway. Also I remember the hairdressers stationed at immigration to cut the hair of anyone whose hair was deemed too long. Damned hippies!

    Typical! Won't worry the Chinese, as they all get taken in on Chinese owned coaches. $35, is a hell of a lot for a place where beer us $1!

    Interesting. I didn't know that about the family. I think a sale quite likely, bearing in mind that the night market is only a shadow of its firmer self, and the number of venues there still closed.

    Great pictures. I am in Sydney in 2 weeks, and my hotel room looks over the harbour, and the Opera House, so I will see if anything is planned!
