When I started traveling in SEAsia 2014-2016, I first went to countries where I could enter visa free (for Germans: Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam), and once I had seen them and no particular reason to return, I went to countries that require a visa (Lao, Cambodia, Myanmar). Now the offerings of Cambodia and Myanmar more than compensate for the effort and expense to get a visa, but starting from zero, visa free countries first for me.

I can confirm that a gentleman who resides in same condo as myself did arrive today, July 17,  and was given 60 days, visa exempt.

How long are they issuing these 60 day visas for, or is it going to be permanent?

I am for my once a year trip in Thailand (I used to go three times a year, but other Asian countries are also nice to visit)
Has everyone else ever walked from the gay area in Jomtien to Boyztown? I did it and it takes about an hour at slow pace (fast pace is not doable in the heat). I am often bored during morning and early afternoon so I thought let’s kill the time and do this walk. And during the walk I was wondering if I was maybe the first person ever in the history of Pattaya sex tourism who has walked from Jomtien to Boyztown. Any forum member has ever done this walk also?

After two days of deep diving into the Osaka boy agencies, I completely agree with macaroni21 addendum.  Example: the pricing table for Chanceosaka.jp demonstrates how pricing can be adjusted by what might be requested, and what might be refunded if the boy cannot meet what the client is seeking.  (example: it's a refund of 2000 JPY if the boy can't masturbate for a solo masturbation session).

Just my personal opinion. Hope no one gets offended. To be fair, I didn't attend the full shows for The One, Banana Bar and Hot Male. I was there for only one show each. But for the other bars, I stayed for 2 shows each during the nights I visited.

Dreamboys is busy every night with customers from those who go just to watch the show and those who go to drink whisky seated in private sofas. While not fully filled to capacity, there is always a steady inflow of customers throughout the night. About 30 to 40 guys working at 9pm. By midnight, only half the guys are standing on stage because some got offs while most were drinking with big spenders. In terms of selection, Dreamboys seems to have every type for everyone. Some handsome twinks. Some well-proportioned hunks (but obviously not to Tawan standard). Also some veterans and old-timers who rarely get offs but are there to perform at shows.
Show is mixture of ladyboy and big cock performances. My favourite show in all the bars because of the coyote dancing which starts the first show 10.30pm and the third show after midnight. I went 4 times and always enjoyed the coyote dancing, often tipping my favourites!
One of the things I enjoy at Dreamboys is watching the guys going down to meet customers who called them. They always have wide friendly smiles. When I am seated at the side, I have a good view of everything happening. And the bar is not dark like in Freshboys where you can hardly see anything. Here at Dreamboys, you can see customers interacting with the guys, finding out more about each other and doing negotiations, sometimes using their handphones to translate.
It was however unfortunate for me to see some customers behaving grotesquely. I saw a farang standing up close to the guys on stage with mamasan and pointing and "interviewing" them for a good 5 minutes. Not classy at all! In my opinion, mamasan should have called them down to the customer instead of allowing such a public display for everyone to see. I also witnessed a ridiculous Chinese customer walking up to the stage to a guy and he grabbed the guy's dick and felt the goods before telling him to go and sit with him!
Because I was at Dreamboys so often, I remember the guys and notice how certain guys are buddies and are always together. There's a pair of tall guys whom I see always standing next to each other on stage. During the show, they come off the stage and sit together. I saw them while I was having dinner at Foodland at 7 plus before they report to work on subsequent days. I saw them twice and once, I was at next table. If not for the fact that I was with my guy, I would have sat and chatted with them and maybe even paid for their meal! 
I also saw from afar one particular guy who works at Jupiter who came into Dreamboys with his Asian looking customer on two nights. They sat at private sofa and had whisky. Mamasans and some Dreamboys guys would join them and drink together. The customer (who wears flowery beach shirt and long shorts and with gold accessories) is Jupiter guy's regular customer so when he comes to Bangkok, Jupiter guy will be away from his own bar to accompany him. This time round, customer was in town for 4 nights. I thought the customer was from China but I found out later that he was Vietnamese. Jupiter guy is popular and has many regular Asian customers who off him because he holds his drink well and he speaks Chinese well. Even though he works at Jupiter, he seldom appears there because he is always with regular customers! I did have one opportunity to meet him at Jupiter to drink and chat with him for a while. He is my regular guy's best friend and we talk and tease each other.
Back to Dreamboys. I would say this bar looks to be the best bar in Bangkok in my opinion. It is well-run and its show has something for everyone. Size and layout of venue is also conducive. Seeing the constant stream of customers as well as the number of big spenders at private sofas (there was even one birthday celebration on one of the nights I was there), it might be even more profitable than Jupiter and Moonlight!

Hotmale had about 12 to 15 guys. Similar small set-up as Banana Bar. But all shows are performed by the Hotmale guys themselves. Few customers on a Friday night. Forum member who went with me on a Friday night multiple bar visit finally found his guy from Hotmale - someone he was already familiar with. Personally, I rarely visit Hotmale because I am already smitten by Hotmale Beer Bar waiters downstairs. 😛
Good Boy's change of name from Screwboys is not the only change. The guys have stopped wearing basketball singlet and shorts. They are wearing white boxers briefs and trunks and showing their chests. In terms of show, it remains the same. Lots of diva ladyboys singing but the audience loves them, especially a group of 4 drunk Taiwanese customers seated at the back one particular night. They were singing along enthusiastically and waving the lights in their handphones as if they were attending a concert. Many guys at Good Boy - 30 to 40 all packed into the tiny bar. I was there for 3 nights and went away with 2 different offs on 2 nights - one Vietnamese and one Laos.

I had an unusual itinerary where I flew Air Asia to Bangkok from Kuala Lumpur. Air Asia uses Don Muang airport. I seldom have reason to go through Don Muang - must have been at least 10 - 12 years since I last did, coming in from Chiang Mai. At that time, there was no easy rail connection to get downtown from Don Muang. But now there is the Red Line connecting the airport to the spanking new Krungthep Apiwat central rail hub.
I made a careful note of how I got from Don Muang to Sukhumvit-Asok (where my hotel was) by rail. Possibly this may be useful information for others. It took me 1 hr 15 minutes between exiting the Customs gate after landing and reaching Sukhumvit MRT station (Blue line).
The same blue MRT line continues to Silom and Samyan MRT station. Just add a few minutes more.
The first step is to get from the International terminal of Don Muang airport to Don Muang train station (run by the State Railway of Thailand SRT). It's a bit of a walk (15 minutes), but nearly all in airconditioned comfort. I had to go southwards from Terminal 1 (International) via the full length of Terminal 2 (domestic)  till I reached the south end of Terminal 2. Then there is a bridge over the highway; the bridge connects to Don Muang train station.
For an overview, here is a sketch map:

 
First, walk to the south end of Terminal 1. There, near a money changer and a 7-eleven store, you'll see a sign saying "SRT Red Line".
 

The route takes you past nice toilets. A good spot to get a leak before the long trip downtown. Every now and then, there's a sign, assuring you that you're going in the right direction.
 

Then you enter Terminal 2

Keep walking, Look carefully, and there are signs indicating "Red Line".

Finally, at the southernmost end of Terminal 2, it said to go up an escalator.

At the top of the escalator, more convenience. There's a Magic Food Court.

Finally, you turn right and get to a pedestrian bridge that crosses the highway. In fact, you can already see the elevated train station at the upper right corner of the window.

At Don Muang train station, tickets to Krungthep Apiwat station (20 baht) can be bought either from machines or a manned counter. I had to struggle a bit with the machines. They just wouldn't accept my 20-baht notes (tried several times). I had to insert a 100-baht note, but then it gave me eight 10-baht coins in change.

This is the platform level of Don Muang train station. Take care that you're on the right platform for the train going to Krungthep Apiwat. The station is not the final stop for the trains; they run north to Rangsit as well as south to Krungthep Apiwat and beyond. Take the south-bound.

Inside of a carriage. Lots of room for luggage. I don't know if it can get crowded at other times, though. There seems to be a train every 15 minutes or so.

On reaching Krungthep Apiwat after only 15-16 minutes, you can't miss the signs for the MRT blue line.

You will need to exit the SRT fare gate, go through an underground tunnel to get to Bang Sue MRT station. Including buying an MRT ticket at Bang Sue, it took me about 8 minutes' walking. (the fare to Sukhumvit station was 41 baht). Then take care again to board at the correct platform.  That they have mounted a big sign suggests that many people make mistakes.
 

The blue line took 23 minutes to get from Bang Sue to Sukhumvit station. Total time = 1 hour, 15 minutes. Total cost = 20 baht + 41 baht = 61 baht. Precisely because my hotel was in the Sukhumvit area, notorious for choked traffic, I was glad I didn't have to rely on taxis. Taxis might also have cost me 7 - 8 times more, and I don't know how much in tolls might be involved.

Hi guys,
Just came back from a trip to Bangkok. It was mainly for work so I did not get to do much with the gogo/massage scene but thought I'd share what I did manage to do.
There were two main things I at least wanted to do on this trip; checking out the Tawan situation personally and checking out the Sol bar which I've passed by so many times in my previous trip but never walked in. 😅 I am happy to say that I accomplished both.
Tawan
On Tawan, I've shared my findings here. Hopefully, that answered some questions a few of the members here had.
Sol
I checked out Sol just once on this trip. The entrance fee was THB 450. The layout of the bar was quite nice, spacious stage and floor but there's an annoying pillar at the middle-front of the stage which kind of blocks part of the stage depending on where you sit. The boys were a mixed bunch, but most consisted of str8 looking twinks. There were a few older guys who are lean/muscular and there's one guy who, if I'm not mistaken, was from Tawan quite some time back. The show was the usual mix of the drag, sexy show and big cock show (the movements they used for their "sexy dance" is pretty much the same as with most other bars except Jupiter, which makes me wonder if they are trained by the same coach, or if that's just the Thai version of a sexy dance 😅). There were only 2-3 other customers there aside from me, so the boys were trying hard to secure an off (which can be a bit uncomfortable). Overall, it's not my kind of bar but the twink lovers here might actually enjoy it.
I'll continue with some brief update Jupiter, Moonlight, Hotmale and Dreamboys a little later.
 

I can confirm @Mapraou info. I met with the Tawan guys last night at the 7-Eleven near the former Tawan where the guys hangout as previously reported by @roughjock. Most of them looked like they've seen better days. The cheeky former tout/doorman from Tawan "suggested" that I joined them for drink (which means that I need to go buy a drink from 7-Eleven and some drinks for the guys too) and I happily obliged 🤣.
Some info I got from them:
1. The guys hanging out there are available for "offs". I saw a few of them trying to catch the attention of the ladies passing by 🤣. That former doorman was also heavily pushing for me to off one of the guys there and then 😅. The down side is that, since we were in the street and with their full clothes on, you can't really tell if they've been maintaining their bodies or which one appeals to you the most.
2. The bar is said to be open again towards the later part next month but as with all news in Thailand, take it with a pinch (or in this case, a spoonful) of salt.
Looking to off one or two of them in the following nights, hopefully for me to have a good time and to show support for the guys from one of my favourite bars. 🙂

I woke up with a bit of a panic attack, realizing that the reason I initially opted for a short time is that I have an online work meeting scheduled for that morning. I sprinted out of bed, made my best effort to look human, pumped caffeine into my system, and managed to be in front of my laptop with a few minutes to spare.
Everything was smooth sailing, with the only exception being that I kept getting distracted by the view of a gorgeous man lying on my bed, partially wrapped in a blanket. For a moment, Tan woke up, tried to get up, but when he saw what I was doing, he looked at me, smiled, and decided to continue his slumber. This is just so surreal for me.
After that mad morning dash, I was ready to relax and retire back to bed. Tan, thinking I was waking him up, wrapped his arms around me, requesting a few more minutes, which I was happy to oblige. I think we slept for a good hour, as when we managed to go get breakfast, the buffet looked sad and deserted, so we decided to venture out.
I think overall, hiring Tan was a good choice. Aside from his good looks and engaging personality, his English is reasonably okay, allowing us to have a conversation. One disappointing thing, though, was that he didn't initiate an extra round that morning (I was willing to pay extra but too shy to ask! Lol). By almost 12 p.m., he left, asking for a repeat performance.
By midday, I was bored and running out of ideas to keep myself entertained. I then messaged S'sense asking if Knott is available, but unfortunately, he's not. After browsing through the roster, I settled on Singha. He's well-built and good-looking, so my excitement level went through the roof.

This is where things became interesting. The steepness of the stairs became the least of your concerns as the narrow steps and wobbly handrail became the prime challenge. I am not exaggerating, but my size EU42/US9 feet had to tiptoe sideways to manage each step as I climbed up. While having coffee, I was already shuddering at the thought of climbing down and was wondering how such structures could be granted consent - a question I answered myself: this is Thailand!
After basically rappelling down the stairs, I was finally off to my rendezvous with Singha. Mr. S (the boss) also sent me a Line message, telling me to send him a message if I'm dissatisfied or if the masseur asked for more tip. I found this very reassuring, although I hoped the handsome Mr. S himself would do the massage!
Upon entering, everything flowed like clockwork: drawing the privacy curtain, getting tea served, Singha removing my shoes and replacing them with indoor sandals. While I was enjoying my tea, he returned with a selection of oils and asked me to choose which one I preferred. I consider myself very picky, but even then, ive had some duds before. But i still consider bars to be the preferred way to get my guy of the night, as i preferred LT, and its the bar that gives me higher rate of willing guys.
Many masseurs arent even willing to meet outside their workplace, even less that are willing to take LT after whole day working at the center. Though i blame myself too as i rarely make effort to take them off site as i like the massage table better when getting massage. Plus considering they can get more per hour in the center, especially if they are popular, its hard to motivate them to be with you LT, unless you are willing to be more generous.
I wouldnt bank on straight top guy to bottom for you either. Very unlikely itll lead to a satisfaction ending. 
 

I think the Thai Ministry of Tourism should toss this forum a commission for all the spur-of-the-moment trips it inspires. I mean, who wouldn't feel a twinge of envy and rush to book a trip after scrolling through those Thailand adventures and tips written here? So, there I was, bitten by the travel bug, and voila! ------ found myself booking an unplanned trip to the land of smiles.
Touching down in Bangkok after a longer than usual stopover in Taiwan, I braced myself for the infamous immigration snake lines. But despite the full queues, every counter was promptly manned, and I breezed through. Maybe because cause of the build up in immigration, baggage claim took less than a minute, thanks to my luck and  eagle eyes spotting my luggage as soon as I approached the carousel. Sorted out some cash and a SIM card, then off to my pre-booked pickup. As I got whisked off from my pickup point, I was hit with that warm, unmistakable Bangkok air, making me buzz with excitement and giddiness for the adventures ahead.
Hotel check-in was expected to be a breeze, yet I found myself low-key panicking as my card repeatedly acted up declining the transaction.  It finally dawned on me that I had forgotten to adjust the low maximum spend setting—a habit whenever I travel.
The allocated room seemed reasonable initially, but its issues became apparent later. After showering off my jetlag, I hailed a taxi for my pre-booked appointment at S'sense Spa in Suan Plu.
Knott was still at the spa and appeared delighted to see me. Upon asking if he really remember me, he promptly identified me by removing my socks pointing at my ankle tattoo, a gesture that left me both shocked and impressed. The quality of my session with Knott, both massage and cheeky extras, remained consistently good as I remembered. This explains my choice of S'sense as my first stop—a reassuring and safe start to the trip, saving the fun experimentation, risks, and disappointments for later.
Following purchase of supplies and stocking the fridge, jetlag began to rear its ugly head. Nevertheless, I resolved to push through and explore Silom.

Although tempted to inquire about familiar faces nearby, shyness prevailed, fearing potential embarrassment if they were not from Tawan.
I strolled towards Hotmale, noted a familiar performance and lineup except for a cute, smiling hunk whom I promptly invited to join me. He's from Myanmar and only been working there for four months. He has a very sweet and friendly demeanour. Being a rookie, he seems to be very dependent on translation apps. I typically don't mind language barriers, often finding them endearing and cute. But given my fatigue from travel and jetlag, I decided to listen to my body and give tonight a pass. I bid him farewell with a bit generous tip, sincerely promising to return.
And that, folks, is how I ended up with no off on my first night in Bangkok!

I'm heading to BKK in a couple of weeks time (totally @vinapu's fault. Lol). Maybe we'll bump into each other during our Silom rounds.
From experience, masseurs prefer not to cum during a session in order not to jeopardize possible sessions that day. They may also charge extra if you ask them to. Summary
 Definitely and by far sightseeing’s  high point was Sukhotai and Kampheang Phet. Fact that my friend K decided to go with me  doubled that travel  fun. Angkor and environs were  second, because all those places I already visited in the past but Cambodian ruins have such pull on me that I can visit there to no end.
I’m glad I went to Phuket, finally I know how it is there and may return in future if only to explore gay scene bit more energetically than I did this time. I beat my cousin to James Bond Island , that counts for plenty as well.
 As for boys I did not get anybody I regretted to engage. With few some improvement could be used but there were no antics like leaving suddenly out of blue (ok there was one case but I let it go for reason explained ) . It looks that engaging tried and tested pays big time and if we meet winner it’s good to keep him close like I did with both  PP and Pattaya guys, new to me. S was great travel companion and I’m glad I had him with me in Siem Reap and by my side every few days in Bangkok. Y knows I like him and shows his appreciation every time we met. NM surprisingly showed his romantic side  and both Tawan guys I offed facilitated  steamiest nights I had in whole month.
All 7 guys mentioned above had one endearing trait, none of them asked for any extras  other than agreed. When we dined their choices were modest. I liked that . I don’t mind to open purse but don’t like to be treated as money well.
Some quotations this trip were  excessive, certainly boys are trying to cash in. With one exception I managed to keep their tips within my  budget, bargaining down when necessary. Only case I yielded  I treated as last of our many meeting in the past and can’t see repeat in the future.
 It was one upsetting  disappointment , right in the beginning, indifferent look of Jupiter guy , veteran of many offs. But I guess all comers to an end, even customer  loyalty and client’s infatuation .
And two regrets, both for lack of time . I should off that Tawan waiter at least once more. I never thought I will be regretting not offing the twink but here I am. And I did not gave a chance to two Banana Club guys ,  Vu Thy and new #31. I think I know where my first steps next trip will be.

Day 26
It was nice but for a price I’d say it could be better specially that in the morning AP announced that he needs to go. That was reasonable 7 am and it saved me buying him breakfast but still I’m not fan of boys saying good bye first  unless timeframe was agreed beforehand.
 After breakfast  I went to Main post office on Charoen Krung , there’s always small collector market in the corner at front of it and I wanted to check their offerings. Did not leave them  empty handed but with lighter pocket , that’s for sure. Returned by the bus I boarded randomly and which turned out passing by Wat Hualampong.
For 14.30 to Jey Spa, I had an appointment with Mavin, our first. On the picture he looked more massive but service was as good as Maii’s or Noom, my favorites there so all good.
From there to Madrid Tavern for my last pizza this trip. Then to my room for bit of quiet rest.
 For tonight  I expect S , our 8th meeting this trip and he showed up at 20.30, straight from the bus from home. Since he was hungry we went to Foodland , he made sure to pick up one of their cheapest thing on the menu, he certainly is not one set for milking farang out of every penny and then somebody may wonder how come he lands so many offs, right?
I also gave him 500 for off fee as he was supposed to work today and we returned to the room for out last night of embraces +++ this trip.

Day 25
I like guys who are not rushing things and won’t go until I let them and he sensed it very well.
We kind of overslept so breakfast was out of question , I gave him some money to buy himself something , I packed my few things and went to Jomtien bus station where I had 11.30 bus booked yesterday. When booking I had choice of 11.30 or 14.00. All buses in between were already filled up. With enough time to eat something I grabbed coffee and  a sandwich in  small place at the station.
There was some rain mid way to Bangkok. In Silom  first I went to Foodland for lunch greeted by few smiles of staff as I was away for almost week.
 Room at Bann Silom was ready , I got the same I had last week.
Not long after I had guest. N , my occasional visitor not from the scene messaged me this morning that he is free in the afternoon and can come. That is way we operate- he lets me know when he is free (or short of cash or both) and I tell him yes or no. No fuss from either side.
We had good , even  quite romantic time till 7.30 , broken with KFC treats he ordered on his way.
In the evening after he left I went for a stroll poking my head here and there , stopped at Hot Male for a drink, then went to Moonlight where I was surprised how few clients graced an audience.  
 Brave models  and floor boys still presented themselves to very few of us , only just before show crowd thickened a bit but not more than half of  seats were filled. At times I had impression there were more waiters than spectators. Hope situation improves as all in that is my favorite bar at the moment.
I was hoping Y will be there  but he did not show up or was already taken so I settled for so called second best AP whom I had already before in hard covid times. Long time no problem as he remembered me well , even hotel where we met but quoted me way more than I was willing to pay so bit firm price reduction was demanded by me before we settled on terms, lol  I think in passing that scarcity of customers may have something to do with tips expected.
 We went to Happy Beer Garden for a dinner and pleasant conversation before we went to hotel for our reunion
 

It was great to see you again Vinapu and to catch up after 1 year.
Firstly, I loved those urinal photos that you took from Phuket.  That is very original.  I guess the only things that can watch you piss are the bats and birds ?
Since you shared with us you offing sexy ARM - I can share that I offed 2 small guys that looked almost like brothers - but one was Thai and the other Cambodian (? was that correct Vinapu ?) - anyway they lived kind of near each other where only the Thai/Cambodian border separated them but they met in Pattaya in the go-go bar scene and then became good friends.  I used the usual technique - call down the first guy and see if he is cool with the second guy - which the mamsans confirmed and were elated that Vinapu and myself - we offed 3 of their best looking guys within 30 minutes ?
Were mine good ?  Yes, we got the deed done in bed but only after I fed them as they were both starving and we made a food stall stop on the way to my place.  Then after everybody's respective orgasms - they showered and left - unlike Vinapu - I love to sleep alone - as I find it difficult to sleep with one eye open.
And remember Vinapu - I want to join you one time in BKK - because since I retired here in Jomtien since September 2022, I have only been in BKK (other than the airport) 1 single time - and it was for shopping.  So, I need a Vinapu training course regarding the delights of BKK and the guys.....
But I am not complaining - as Pattaya and Jomtien keep my hands busy....
