I might be considered local after 20years but I wasn't on day one or on earlier short holidays. I still managed hookups by doing some research and chatting with guys on sites like gay.com or gaydar in those days.

There are plenty of guys looking for hookups in KL. Sure there has been some difficulties with locals using apps but they soon know a way around it. Whilst Hua Hin might be pretty much devoid of gay nightlife you will still find guys on the apps. Predominantly on Grindr, Hornet and Romeo. Guys will often message offering massage. Staying at Welcome World now. No idea about joiners but you can enter from Dongtan beach and there is no security. The hotel main entry is via a long, long driveway from Thappraya Rd. Staying in a room overlooking the beach. Very nice. I would take a look at BB House which is just next to Welcome World. Looks promising.

There are two departures per day, 10:00 and 14:00. They will pick you up in a mini van from your hotel about 30 mins earlier and take you to their main bus station where you will board the large bus. On arrival at the North Pattaya bus station you will again transfer to a mini bus to be dropped at your hotel. Just make sure you select your pickup and drop-off hotels when making the booking. If the timing suits it's a good service.

During my recent visit to Bangkok I was denied the senior's fare when buying tokens at the MRT ticket booth. I was told at a number of stations that it was only for Thai citizens. I was surprised that as a foreigner I was even able to get this discount before.

Have been residing in KL on a part time basis for nearly 20 years. Hotels - no problem with joiners. No problem booking double bed with companion. Bars - Blueboy, been in existence since the 1990s at least. Other bars/clubs come and go. Saunas - a few Massage centres - quite a number Freelance massage - many particularly from Indonesia. Apps - very active. Cruising - more than in Thailand. Over the years there has been the occasional raid on venues but more often to do with drugs and illegal workers.. Just be be sensible and think with your 🤔 and not your 🍌.

You should seriously consider Penang or KL. Not expensive. No gay areas as such but plenty of options for massage and saunas. Log on to some apps and test your popularity (or not). 😜
