I think you're alluding to something which I have long noticed, but rarely say out loud because it comes with a high risk of causing offence. But let me voice my observation now, with an IMPORTANT CAVEAT: PRESENT COMPANY EXCEPTED. I am not referring to either Olddaddy or Pong.
My observation is this: the worst examples of English writing is often seen from native English speakers, not from those who speak it as a second language. Partly, it's a self-sorting result. Non-native English speakers are conscious that they are using a foreign language and think they will not be able to write as well as native speakers, so they take extra trouble to check and proof-read what they write; or if they have no confidence, they don't write in English at all. 
Native English speakers tend to "let loose". If their English is good, all well and fine. But if their English is bad, they may not even realise it, and they write as they speak (slang, highly localised usage, confusing syntax, etc) largely unaware how they come across to others. They are used to people in their own circles understanding them, and since those in the same circles also supposedly speak "English" (note the quotation marks), they all think that the language they use (and write) must be, well, English.
It may also have to do with the fact that those who have to learn English as a second language are taught the language in a structured way -- the nuts and bolts of grammar and so on -- and I have often been shocked how schools in Australia and the US (places I am familiar with) do not teach English that way. They assume the language need only be learned though use. The trouble with such an attitude is that students imbibe the language from their family's social circles and their own peers. If those circles don't speak or know how to write properly, then one cannot, logically speaking, imbibe proper English. And yet they hold the belief that what they are speaking is English.
An old friend of mine, now a retired schoolteacher, once explained to me that something happened in the 1970s and 1980s to pedgagogy. There was a change to valorising self-expression rather than teaching rules of grammar. Coupled with something to do with multiculturalism -- one is not supposed to criticise accent or idiosyncratic usage, instead, we must "celebrate difference" -- much language quality has gone down the chutey.

Next stop - Da Nang, Vietnam
I haven't explored much of Vietnam before, only having visited once to Phu Quoc. I chose Da Nang as I like coastal cities and was also inspired by @bkkmfj2648 extensive report in the Vietnam section.
I took a Scoot flight from Singapore which took just under 3 hours and arrival was interesting. I researched many sources before arriving which stated that there was no arrival card required for Da Nang, however on arrival, there was some signage with QR codes just before immigration which linked to an arrival form. So you can imagine that a whole plane load of people are now trying to fill out this form (which the information was more or less the same as the e-visa which I had already applied for). The form couldn't even be submitted as it was asking for an OTP which was supposed to be sent to your email, but never arrived, so I just gave up and went to immigration and was able to pass through successfully with no questions asked.
I stayed at Haian Beach Hotel and Spa. It is quite a nice hotel which faces the ocean, however the downside was the sound-proofing wasn't great, so it was quite noisy with sounds from the construction site next door, the people at the beach and the constant "bahn bao, bahn bao..". The saving grace was that the hotel provided ear plugs which were quite helpful but despite all of this, the view was pretty amazing. The hotel also provides a complimentary airport shuttle (which is a big luxury van) but only at certain times.
For most of my trip here, I hired a tour guide and driver (as recommended by a forum member) and we went around and visited many things including Linh Ung Pagoda (Lady Buddha), Marble Mountain, Dragon Bridge, Ba Na Hills (as I really wanted to see the Golden Hands Bridge, which was full of tourists as expected, but now ticked off my bucket list, however the cable car ride there and back was amazing) and Hoi An Ancient Town (which is a UNESCO World Heritage site). We also ate together and they introduced me to some delicious Vietnamese cuisine, which in general I found quite fresh and clean, as well as incredibly tasty.
The prices are also incredibly affordable - I got a haircut, went to the dentist and got a suit tailored for much much less than I would have paid in my home country. Close to the end of my trip I visited Hero Massage Spa where I received a decent yet very sensual massage (and light extras). 
I enjoyed Da Nang quite a lot but I feel like there is still much to explore so I will likely return in the near future.

Hi everyone
Recently returned from a fun trip to Thailand (and also other nearby countries). I'll write a bit of a report on each country in this post for ease, both exciting and boring aspects, and it will come in dribs and drabs when I have some spare time. 
I did meet some lovely forum members, who I will refer to as forum member (but feel free to name yourself if you wish), with the exception of @jason1975 as I know he doesn't mind being named.
Something that I utilised which may interest some members, is my use of an E-sim. I've used E-sims before, usually buying them from klook, however I discovered some multi-country E-sims on my trip.com app. Multi-country E-sims are nothing new and there are many companies that sell them, however I found one that would cover the four countries I was visiting and would give me 100gb data per day for 20 days. It was around 36 USD (data only). There are cheaper alternatives but it was kinda nice just to get off the plane and be connected straight away. For me, just one less thing to think about.
 
First stop: Singapore
I was only here for one night and despite having time to make it into the city and back, I decided to stay at Crowne Plaza Changi Airport. It is quite pricey but I really like it, and actually come to think of it, I stayed here about 10 years ago, before my very first trip to Thailand. 
Shortly after arrival, Jason came and met me and we spent some time exploring Jewel, which is the big dome thing that is next to terminal 1 of the airport. It has numerous shops and restaurants as well as the beautiful water vortex. Jason graciously treated me to dinner at Din Tai Fung, a Taiwanese restaurant chain, and in addition to the delicious food, there were some cute waiters working. 
After we had a good catch up, we parted ways (but we were to meet again in Bangkok in a couple of weeks) and I did some shopping before heading back to the room and going to sleep. In the morning after having some congee for breakfast, I walked back to the terminal ready to take my next flight.
I am always impressed by the efficiency of Singapore's immigration - on arrival, I was able to use the e-gate which took no time at all, and on departure I also utilised the e-gate - passport not even required this time. It took mere seconds.
 

I love Siam Heritage, stay there most visits.
A very quick walk to Tawan, and Patpong, nice and close for the boys to come back to. No hassles from the front desk.
Nice spacious rooms, outdoor pool and great gym, full of old school clunky equipment for serious workouts, and they don't care what you wear (or don't wear) while doing it!
Last visit I was mid workout, shirtless, when a beautiful African guest joined in, but not before stripping down to the tightest, tiniest, bright red par of speedos to work up a sweat on the treadmill  right in front of me.... very distracting indeed!

Go downstairs to the skytrain level. Walk to the left of the skytrain office where we buy tickets. On your right are some change booths which give a better rate than all the upstairs change places at bkk. When I was there earlier this month the rate there wasn't that far below the best in the city.

This is report on my trip about 2 weeks ago in BKK. Had a work engagement there and decided to extend the stay for a short weekend vacation. Thought I'd share some info on the bars I've visited. (Sorry for any typos or grammar issues 🙏. Writing this out on my phone)
Jupiter
Finally, after talking about it in a few reports, I finally took a guy out from Jupiter! Lol
I came in initially just to watch the show. It was a Friday night but the bar was no where nearly as crowded as before. Still a lot of customers relative to the other bars I went to, but plenty of empty seats.
I had one of the mamasan helped me with the boys. Basically, from what I understand (and confirmed by the boy I eventually offed), about 5-6 guys only exclusively go with women. From the rest, a lot of the str8 guys are ok to go with male clients but vary in terms of what they are willing to do (usually they won't kiss other guys). The ones that are open to all are the gay models.
The first guy I invited over for a drink was a fit, next door kinda guy that I had my eye on in my last trip. He spoke limited English so we chatted with a translator app. He quoted THB 4000, was ok with to fuck guys but he doesn't kiss. I thanked him and gave a small tip  for his time. I then selected another guy from the rotation. He was lean fit, from Cambodia and smiled a lot. He was OK to do a lot of things (as a top, of course) and was pleasant to talk to (even gave a brief rundown on some of the other guys I was interested in). I offed him for a ST. We went to get something to eat before going back to the hotel. The only turn-off with this guy was that he brought up how he was financially struggling and had family issues several times from when we left the bar. I gave polite responses but didn't probe further. Back at the hotel, he did everything he said he would and we had a good time.
All in all, I paid THB 1900 (2 drinks + entry fee + off fee) to the bar and THB 3000 to the model after having some fun.
Atlas
I went here on a Sunday. This was the biggest shock for me. The bar was deserted. Only about 8 guys on rotation, with probably only 1 qualifying as a muscle/bodybuilder. The others were either slim, overweight or just average. Only one other client beside me there. I didn't see any of the other Tawan guys that were there on my last trip.
I spoke briefly with the owner but he seemed tired/distracted. After one drink, I just left.
Tahn Tawan
This was formerly Tawan/the One. Apparently, a new owner bought over a couple of months back (I'm sure someone mentioned this in another report).
The bar was actually crowded, and there were more muscle guys/bodybuilders here than at Atlas. Some of the faces that were at Atlas before came back to Tawan. They had around maybe 15 guys, of which half at least are muscle/bodybuilding type of guys, while the other half is a mix of lean/fit next door guys or average twinks. (The guy who previously played the doorman role is now in rotation)
I saw the guy I've offed several times before and decided to off him for that night. Huge bodybuilder guy, solid muscles though not shredded for competitions yet.
He told me that he and several others left Atlas because apparently Atlas is trying to cater more to clients who prefer twinks (though from the my earlier visit, hardly seems that way). The new owner of Tawan apparently is a nice guy and flexible with the models.
I had a good muscle worship session with him, followed by a good, passionate sex. Would definitely come back for him in my next trip.
Cost-wise, boy's drink + entry + off fee was THB 1500, and tipped the guy THB 3000.
Non-bar Boys
Aside from the bars, I also had a long time session with a previous off who no longer works in bars (at the moment, at least). The sex was good when we met, but after that it was a little disappointing. I wanted to have a cuddle buddy for the night and maybe a morning sex too (hinted that to him before bed). I ended up with neither 🤣. He doesn't cuddle much, and was rather fixated with his phone. We had breakfast in the morning, tipped him THB 3500 and decided to go on with my day. He was a really sweet guy but whether it was because of miscommunication or he was just not into it, it seemed like a having a long time with him was a mistake on my part. Anyway, lesson learned 😅.
Weather
It was raining everyday when I was there but thankfully, only short rain spells which cleared after sometime. And the night was mostly clear while I was there, so no interruptions on my night activities.

Why am I writing this trip report now?
Because I am going back to Bangkok next weekend! So that's another trip report!

Because we all have our own priorities I do not think we have a right to criticise others for their choices. I have certainly enjoyed far more amazing life experiences than I ever dreamed of when I started my career and I put that down initially as much to stubbornness and serendipity as to making a specific choice. Still in my 20s I just decided that if I were to get further up the ladder in the type of job I was doing and enjoying, there were so few available in the UK I had first to move abroad for a few years. It was always said that experience overseas would be an advantage when I returned to work again in the UK. I assumed that would mean the USA and I did make a couple of trips to see what jobs might be available. Then totally out of the blue i was asked if I'd like to be considered for a job in Hong Kong. 
I knew absolutely nothing about Asia and all its different countries. The furthest east I had been was for holidays in Crete and Rhodes. Had I not agreed to go and be interviewed, I have no idea if I would ever have considered visiting Thailand. Certainly in those far off days it was much too far away and flights far too expensive. But I did go to that interview, got the job and within a month found myself in Hong Kong for what I assumed would be no more than three years. Staggered by the place, I kind of fell in love with it within days. From then on my life totally changed - and I just could not believe my luck. Less than five months later I was discovering the special delights of Bangkok, and soon thereafter many other countries in this amazing continent. Only once since then have I ever seriously thought about leaving Asia. I am happy I did not.

Day 3
 Breakfast at Zing is in my opinion very good value at 189 baht for quite extensive selection. At the moment they have even promotion, if you buy 3 times , 4th is free. Track is kept on card they gave me when I bought 1st one.
One of massage guys from Jomtien Complex I engaged few times in the past probably spied me on Grindr or passing by with my friend through the Complex yesterday because out of blue he sent me a message this morning so I invited him for 1 pm to come and check how he likes my room. We did not bother with massage and it was kind of kissy-huggy reunion.
 For dinner I decided to try recommended by few Sophia’s Kitchen  opposite Dick’s in the Complex and indeed their chicken with cashews is one of best I had ever. Complex is busy preparing for Pride Night tonight with 2 stages set up so my hope is that famous Max will grace that night with his presence at The Best Bar.
  Early  evening as  arranged yesterday my guy from Dreamboys showed up and today’s session was even better and hotter than last night to a degree that I forced additional 1000 baht on him upon learning that tomorrow he is going home for a few days. Hope to see him again whenever I will be in Pattaya. I need to find a way of hosting him overnight, good sign was that today he did not say no when I revealed my plans about future. I liked he did not promise anything but said he feel more comfortable with me now and will think about that. Okey, okey
 Well after dark I went  to Supertown filled with expectation that my Maxhunt will materialize. Lots of people everywhere and truly festive atmosphere. I parked myself at The Beast Bar but  no, there was no Max in sight. I was watching shows produced by every bat on the stage in front of The Venue but Max was missing when his bar was presenting their part. Oh well, there’s always tomorrow, also day when he normally performs there. My beer was brought to my table by very manly faced Lao twink so after few sips I offered him a drink. By time  I decided to call night off I consumed two and he 4 bottles of Chang.
 Not sure who first suggested we  go home together but certainly we had the same in mind so of we went. While I was disappointed with Max absence , at least I satiated another curiosity. In @Home bar I noticed muscular guy I stalk on Grindr who advertises he likes kissing. Had I noticed him earlier I’d try to engage hi but now it was too late and may be it was good after all.
 While passing by I gave him red note to signal my interest and reaction was somewhat strange, instead of expected smile, wai and thank you I got kind of grimace one sees when somebody almost steps on dead rat or dog’s poo on the pavement. But no, he did not give me note back so not being  sure what I’m supposed to think   I just kept walking with my guy in tow. On our way we met aussie_ from forum celebrating night with his friends.
 To hotel we went in style – both of us on the same motorsai, clearly twinks have advantages of not taking so much space.
 By his own admission he started his work in the bar only few weeks before so lack of experience was visible but was offset by clear willingness to do the best o earn his tip. Me and twink and happy with him ! End must be near.
It was already dawning when he asked for permission to go home  which was granted . after he left I slept quite well till quarter to 11 am. I barely made to the breakfast but I did it !!

For that we don't need to pay that much. Any shop with grannies sitting at from will provide excellent massage for fraction of the tip

Day 8 , last
After my guy left I had good sleep till late morning , them went for breakfast and returned to the room to pack up. Earlier I asked about the option of late check out as my plane leaves at 7.pm but
I was told by lady who seemed to be in charge that there are no rooms available.
Considering that other guy , manning laptop in the lobby seemed sympathetic to my query and I notice strange grimaces sent his way by said lady I think they simply did not want to bother. No problem although it would be nice to have room till , say 4 pm.
I found solution, left my bag on reception and went to soi 6 to have massage at Maha with diminutive hunk there , Nut. Great , no rush session.
At 3 pm my last chicken and rice soup at Foodland, minutes later reader joined me for  latest gossip and he walked me to mouth of  Convent Road here we had our good bye hugs hoping to see each other very soon.
Train to the airport was very crowded but no surprise there considering it was peak hours.
At 7 something pm my Gulf Air A321  took off on its way to Bahrain with me inside waving good bye to Thailand for 36th time.
In sharp contrast with September this time I was leaving with bleeding heart. Considering what brought me there I was in need of something uplifting and this time guys delivered , one after another. Even bump mid trip with underdelivering Banana guy, mostly on time , was not that painful.
Who would think that my best guy will be from Jupiter ? Even now , week later I’m kind of amazed .
 And I still have my sights on another hunk from there, one who mildly pissed me by not confirming his tips with smile but I’m not giving up on him for two reasons, first he was recommended to me by forum friend I absolutely trust judgment of, second because he looked much better in flesh than on pics and clips I saw of him before .So it looks for my next trip whenever it will be I have my homework already assigned , I’m not giving up that easy.
I’m glad that Handsome Cambodian with whom I have long history of offs , not all of the happy – once he dumped me after I complained about his constant surfing on his phone , looked happy and somewhat settled. I have soft spot for him because of his troubled , early orphaned life.
 Chai, new discovery in Arena  was joyful and I cherish sense of achievement of finally being engaged with #10 from Moonlight and #31 from Banana I pursued for some time.
 Very uplifting  fact that all bar one of boys I known previously bar that I engaged this trip performed , I must say even better than previously. No games , no stupid excuses ( I overlook last night because I have feeling it was not malicious ).
 Only think I feel sense of missing was another meeting with Y from Moonlight but simply our schedules did not align.
Those familiar with my report perhaps notice one , so far always present  , thing missing  -  absence of visit to Tawan. Yes it was on design. I still love bar and it’s boys dearly but this time I was in no mood to partake in their constant ‘ tip, tip, tip  “ requests. Even when I had chance meeting with K on that famous corner , he immediately raised his shirt and asked for ‘ tip for eating “. I wish them well and hope to visit in the future   but this time I gave them  a miss and I ‘m glad I did. How far I went from days when my trips were on Tawan monodiet ? But not my fault.
 Life is strange thing. One week you attend your best , lifelong,  friend’s  funeral, next you have week of your life and one of best of my many trips to LOS.

Day 4  
 Being right in the middle of Silom Plaza it would be shame not to utilize both Best  and Arena massages.
 I had good sleep after HC left  and barely made on time for hotel provided breakfast – the same like American in Foodland plus small tray of fruits.
 Theirs is guy in Best massage recommended to me by  one of our members and worth the trouble going by the look – I met both of them few days ago in Foodland so early afternoon I crossed the plaza , asked for him and lady on reception was clearly not knowing who I’m talking about. I was perplexed but what we have Line for? Lined member , he made his inquiry with the guy and it turned out he goes by different nick in the shop that his name we both know.
 Armed with that knowledge I went back, asked for Frank and we all were home. Great skills and actually it helped as today I was in need to good , proper rub and one of smoothest  guys I ever met. Members recommendations usually work and this one worked big time plus ! .
 In the afternoon I had urge to sample pizza and when it’s pizza it must be from Madrid Café in Charoen Krung soi 49 , formerly Madrid Tavern from Patpong . Decide to go by bus and while standing on the bus stop I saw our member anddy passing by on motorbike. Go figure – rush hour on very busy street and you see familiar face. So I pulled phone and Lined him about my immediate plans  hoping that he will see message soon.
Indeed , as soon as I sat down in Madrid – I don’t place orders there because we have ritual there: ‘usual?”  , ‘yes” which places Chang , no glass – as proletarian I drink from the bottle ,  on my table and cherry tomato and shallots pizza lands in the oven, my phone showed message ‘ I’m on my way .
Soon we were greeting each other and had as usual a great chat over the meal. He was kind to drop me at Silom Plaza and after having a tea in the room I decided to break usual rules of not having massage  after the meal and took stairs to Arena.
There was quite handsome guy talking on the phone outside but he entered in just after me and it was good move. Art, the captain greeted  me with open arms as always. There were about dozen guys of usual Arena quality, all smiling and pointing at themselves. All muscle and testosterone but I decided to go with that new guy who sexily lifted his shirt to show sexy sixpack, not that anybody there lacks in that department. So Chai it was.
There’s old saying  first quoted by Herodotus ( or was it Tacitus ?) “Arena never disappoints “ and it proven gain for 1726th time . What massage by Chai stood out was coverage . No part of my carcass was unmassaged, literally from toe to head. What a find ! Specially that for some reason as I mused above for some reason today I was in need to really good massage. I think tension of previous week and all those flights made me feeling cramped.
 It turned out that he finishes his shift  now so I invited him for a dinner right after but before we left I wanted secure massage for tomorrow noon.  Reason was I’m changing hotels so need somehow to spend productively those 3 hours between 12 and 3. Captain told me they open at 1 but out of blue Nuk , whom I did not see before appeared and said  “ will come at 12”.  One can’t to better than that !. Inquiring minds may ask ‘ why didn’t you ask Chai?”    but tomorrow was his day off which I knew beforehand.
 Soon Chai joined me for a meal on ground floor and we parted our ways.   
After having two proper and complete massages today I felt quite energized so around 11 pm I decided to see if S will be available at Hot Male but he was already taken so I moved to Banana. Bar was packed but they found me a seat and soon somebody seating beside moved out so I invited two boys seating in shadows nearby to join me for  a drink.
  One of them I already offed twice on previous trips , another one was new and happen to be very clingy. I did not plan to take anybody tonight, after all I had plenty of daytime fun but gin, separated from tonic worked it’s way to my head and I decide to go with known quality , tipped other guy 300 for his time and soon off we went to my room.
Can’t say it entirely worked as intended, perhaps penalty  for dumping other, clingy  guy ? It was clear from beginning he wants to do a deed , cash and go. Even skipped shower part. No he did not smell or anything so fun part was missing , not hygienic thanks God , otherwise we would have  a scene.
It was not that bad but he made whole experience very utilitarian so we had our utilitarian fun, I did no make any attempt to keep him longer, he did not suggested it either. Cash and go type of fun.
 Strangely it reminded me  off of Tum, now model at Moonlight from short lived Boy66 bar at the same location back in Sept 2017. It was exactly the same , I still remember his words ”I make you happy and go” .
 But after such great and fun filled day I could use some decent sleep so just chalked it off and went asleep  fortified in a knowledge that one more guy was removed from the list of future engagements.
Classic , known to science,  case of boys who on subsequent offs feel too comfortable to care much about their customer.

Day 3
Waking up at 11.20 only forced me to do morning sprint as I was supposed to leave room at noon.  
Travelling light helped and I managed to gather my meager possessions, shower  ,shave and even have a tea I that time. Noon on the dot I walked to my next hotel , Heaven’s Boutique  in the same Silom Plaza Arena and Best Massage are.
Room was not ready yet as check in time is 3 pm so I left my bag and went to have haircut on Silom in the shop upstairs by BTS station, charge was 160 and I was happy to leave that 40 baht tip. Exchanged money in XOne , went to KFC to buy 500 baht bucket for good reason – my next guy loves the stuff and it our ritual that we feast on that doubtful treat if you ask me but he loves it.
At 3 I got a card and went to a room. Quite sizable , nice change after cramped RedPlanet one.  Again , all worked.
At 3.30 my guy arrived. He is one not from the scene and we meet every trip at day time  . Whenever he has time he lets me know and if it fits my schedule off we go, if not , no hard feelings till next time. Today he was bit reserved for some reason, perhaps boredom with me is setting in, only toward end of our time together it started to be much more romantic. Perhaps he was offended I did not tell him in advance I’m coming as he mused something to this effect. Still it was pleasant few hours, believe me not entirely devoted to munching on that KFC bucket.
He works night shifts so around 7 pm he went to work and I marched to Foodland for a dinner , soon reader joined me there.
 Then after we exchanged all news and more I climbed stairs to Dreamboys hoping either Handsome Cambodian or Vu Thy will be there. Impressive stable filling stage in two rotations, I could off at least 5 of them. Particularly # 5 looks great and according to mamasan has no shortage of customers.
 Vu Thy was not there but Handsome Cambodian was and soon I called him over. We have a bit of history , not all chapters pleasant but I admit I have soft spot for him so of course we agreed on LT tonight. Which turned  to be great idea as in several offs we survived together tonight he was most clingy by far to a point I was amazed as normally he is more reserved.
  He is bit troubled and lost a lot of his once impressive musculature but still remains one of most attractive guys I ever met and memories of time when I saw him for first time are firmly ingrained in my head. Another happy reunion this short trip. It was quite uplifting for me  to see his enthusiasm as we had our less thrilling moments in the past, always forgiven. Usually boys are complaining about lack of sleep overnight but tonight they were vindicated and when he mused shyly  around 5 am that he wants to go home I approved an idea enthusiastically. Age shows I guess.
Day 3 and I’m still on the roll, praised be the Lord.

Day 2  
In the morning breakfast in Foodland together, greeted by knowing smiles of staff there but those were nice , not contemptuous knowing smiles.
In the early afternoon jet lag made me collapsing on the bed for few hours and when I woke up I decided to check GLAM, new shiny and upscale massage place  near Suthisan MRT station. Bkkmfj visited that place and started thread about it in August .
Guy on reception recognized me from my visits to Jey Spa where he worked  and told me those two are closely related , sharing most boys because one of co-owners co-owns Jey as well. He lead me upstairs where they have glass behind which there were only two boys One of them Mek would be my choice but was waiting for his appointment already and another guy, likely seeing unsightly,  grey haired troll i.e. me claimed is not feeling well.
Mamasan helpfully suggested he nearby  has on call guy named Maii which was  perfect solution as I already met him few times at Jey.  I was ushered to room , very sizable with equally sizable shower so fee of 1290 for 90 mins reflects quality of the place. Waiting for Maii I took shower and soon we had surprised reunion. I was happy to notice that guy’s smile was rather not fake. Another case of known quality so I left happy , upping his minimum tip by 400.
Dinner at G’Bangkok , then meeting with Keithambrose in his hotel  and we went to new bar Dragon and Koi across from Foodland. Keith made already relation from our time there in bar’s thread. An hour later I had a ticket for some obscure airlines, Pegasus and Air Arabia,  carry on up to 6 kg and food for purchase   only but price was right.  And since I travel light anyways it was not obstacle.
That way instead of January of 2027 or perhaps even 2029 I found myself  landing in Swampy mid Nov of 2024 via  Istanbul and Sharjah. For those who are curious about those dates -my August trip was  partially disappointing and I did not have any immediate plans to return any time soon as result.
But lets be honest , if one is stressed and want to get away from it all while looking for calm and consolation there’s no better place than Bangkok urban jungle , at least not for me.
Arrival at 4.30 pm was very convenient, immigration was a breeze, weather quite pleasant and rates in the exchange kiosks by the train station  quite digestible. It was already darkening when I walked from Sala Daeng to Red Planet, my hotel for first 2 nights.
Budget option but recent price raises of BKK hotels were substantial so I decided to look for cheaper options this time. Room was on smaller side but had all amenities  one needs, AC and safety deposit box were working , everything was clean and bathroom was of proper size, one can say almost as big as room itself. Only thing in short supply is place to hang your stuff , only 3 hangers provided but since I travel light , I managed anyways.
Best thing about Red Planet is discretion. Reception is on 2nd floor so it means when coming to the room alone or with somebody one bypasses it entirely, the same like in Raya. No breakfast provided but on ground floor facing street there’s  7/11 and walk to Foodland is not that long.
At 9 to Foodland to eat something , soon reader  showed up since I reported to him my arrival  from the train .

Day 16
Arrived in Munich at 5.30 and since my flight home was at 15.30 I had 10 hours at disposal so decided to do some sightseeing in the city. I visited iconic cathedral with onion like towers , climbed St Peter tower for a view over city including vista of distant Alpes, wandered throughout Viktualien markt and took subway to Alte Pinakhoteke, one of most famous and richest art museums in the world. I decided to walk to museum but several street in downtown core were sealed so route I took was very circular but finally got there. Unfortunately because of that police action  I was left with less time than I originally planned plus decided to go to the airport sooner in case of another unexpected delayed  and as result I was not able to see everything in detail  but collection of old masters is very impressive. Bosh, Leonardo, multiple Rubenses and Rembrants , you name it and twice as much .
Another walk to railway station , no issue with airport train and soon I was on my way.
Immigration at home was also breeze, no ‘ why you travel to Thailand so often’ stupid questions this time. Arrived home just in time to go to bed so jet lag was mitigated this time.

It will be brief : Ufffff !   

One great thing about "repeat offs" is that they eliminate much of the guesswork, allowing you to focus purely on enjoying the moment. Though, I must admit, not every repeat is a hit; some just don't sparkle as much the second time around.

Playing it safe, I messaged Nine from Banana, who was more than happy to meet for a late 11pm dinner. I got a bit nervous when he mentioned he was still with a client, so I gave him 15 minutes before I’d move on to Plan B. Just as I was about to bail, in he walked, all smiles.

Day 13
After breakfast together, treat for me itself this trip as it was only second such opportunity out of 12 nights in Bangkok, S and me took taxi to his room. He asked me if I want to see and I did as I never was in boys room in Thailand and was curious. It was in high-rise 50 baht taxi fare away from Patpong . Not that he has much of use of building heights as his room is on 2nd floor.
Nothing spectacular but quite spacious with bed , couch and desk, also fridge and AC and full toilet with shower. On balcony there was mini kitchen with stove of one burner only. Considering Bangkok heats , quite sensible arrangement . So I ‘d say quite comfortable. Could use some girl’s hand to tidy it a bit, housekeeping is rarely boy’s strong feature but certainly comfortable and habitable.
I returned to Raya by foot and packed as today I’m moving to new place , never tried. Silom Convent Garden , in soi Phipat , right beside Sauna Mania. Quite good location, equidistant between two 7/11 on each end of soi and few minutes walk to Silom’s joys, even closer to Chong Nonsi BTS.
For 35$ I did not expect miracles and upon entry I was amazed by how good deal it is. Whole apartment complete with washer, separate AC in living room and bedroom, very clean and well maintained, lots of storage space and kitchen utensils as well as microwave , all in. In short , quite a gem . I already posted pictures in some other thread.
Other member visited me shortly after move and also approved quality, We decided to go to soi 6 for massage as he had somebody in mind and I wanted Mak , former masseur at Tawan , whom I spotted another day working at 9-teen.
Unfortunately he had day off today so  I grabbed another guy sitting at front. Nothing spectacular but massage  above average for soi 6 and extras also more than sufficient for 1500 tip for 1.5 hr. session, 800 for the house.
As it happened my friend’s massage was finished at the same time so we met  in the soi and I decided to revisit him in his new digs in Marvin suites in Sathorn soi 13. Another good deal and very comfortable place although bit distance from the scene but certainly worth consideration.
Today is birthday of my diminutive bodybuilder masseur  from Maha massage, he cheerfully suggested I treat him with dinner on his birthday day and conformed on Line he will be free at 18.30 so I went there to pick him up.
 As for venue, he said up to you to his peril so I suggested choice between Foodland Patpong and G’Bangkok in soi 4 . He opted for the later and off we went. I brought him set of chocolates from Cambodia and he said  he managed to salvage only 3 pieces as his shop friends enjoyed the rest.
As I mentioned above when we dined two Jupiter boys were passing by and greeted me with smile , clearly recognizing me from visit in bar day before.
After festive dinner my guy went back to his shop and I returned to hotel to spruce up  for rest of evening.
At 21.15 meeting with forum friend in Foodland, news exchange and today  we really had two choices at my insistence, GoodBoys as I did not visit it this trip and Moonlight which I wanted to visit once more. We opted for GoodBoys.
Mamasan recognized me instantly , mentioned One, my possibly best boy ever coming from there – old story from 2014 but she somehow remembers him and me liking him a lot. A lot !
There were good reports about numbers 7 and 42 so I kept eye to see them , 7 was not present but 42 was on the stage , not too long though as soon he was called over by the group of customers. There were few quite attractive guys on the stage and few of them found me attractive as well trying to bring attention to themselves but my eye was on # 26, typical twunk , not to big but with impressive six pack.
We met before and it was historical event in Dec 2021. He was then working in Jupiter  and shocked me almost to heart attack or something as it was first and only boy there smiling at me broadly, not shyly, broadly. Of course I offed him then and after bit of deliberation  decided to repeat feast tonight so called him over to be closer to that smile. Long time ok for four grand. He suggested 5 initially but I countered with 4 and   wisely he agreed. Wisely because I was not prepared to pay even  100 more.
Passing by Patpong Night Market we got some banana pancakes and went to the room. No issue with visitors there , neither day or night, believe me , I checked both variants, wait for tomorrow’s part.
Very pleasant and sweaty night, I sensed he was kind of grateful he was offed and turned out to be very active, Finally , just before I head home things are looking up. Perhaps we were too energetic  as at 5.30 am he asked to release quoting convincing reason. He wants go home to sleep, he, he
Since he worked hard to deserve break from me I let him go without any fuss.
