Rainy season is no joke in Bangkok… yes, it really is.
Upon landing at DMK in the evening, I was actually a bit lost about where I should go first. It was raining heavily outside. Taking a GrabCar straight to the hotel, I believed, would take longer because I’d probably get stuck in traffic due to the massive number of vehicles during peak hour, plus the rain and thunderstorm. To catch the train, there would be more transfers an walks and trust me, I was too lazy for that.
My initial plan was to visit BKK Massage at night, so I texted the admin to change the time, and they agreed. That meant I could go straight there. The admin, to be honest, wasn’t that friendly at first. Since the shop wasn’t that far from the airport, it took me less than an hour to get there. The shop itself is located in a four-storey shop-office building, although I have no idea where exactly.

I booked about two days earlier. Their lineup is quite impressive, to be honest. And this time, I decided to just let the admin choose for me. I’ll do the same for all the shops I visit later. Gamble. Haha. Pick the best one you have, and I’m on it.
The admin picked Nong L for me and provided me with all his information, tips and everything else. Surprisingly, the tips there are much more affordable than at other Grade B shops, where the minimum is around 1,500 THB. (I’m putting it as Grade B for now.) moving on there will be a grade =)haha
The shop itself is like a mix of classic and contemporary styles. I don’t really know how to describe it. Suddenly, there’s a very classic sofa while the rest of the interior looks completely different. Not matching!! But that ok. I believe I was the only customer inside the shop.
L came and greeted me with a smile. Physically, I couldn’t really tell because he looked a bit different from his picture. Yes, he’s tall and has a beautiful smile. Maybe the shirt was just a little too big and look like a rocker…But never mind. I check again the room later on.
He brought me to the level 1, and I noticed there were plenty of rooms there. Such a big parlour, btw. But there was no one around. Only me and him.
When I entered the room, surprise! It was spacious and so beautiful. It was cosy, smelled nice, had nice music, and felt warm. I looked at him and said, “This room smells so nice.” He replied, “Yeah, I prepared it for you.”

For the massage part, I think I’ll just keep it short. The massage itself was rather good. The amount of oil used, the technique, the pressure — I must say it was quite close to the standard. I know there a wild part in the business but i expected at least a proper massage at first.
I was getting tempted and feeling sleepy, and suddenly, with a quick glance, I realised he was already behind me and totally naked. That was when I could really see his body, and I was totally overwhelmed by how good he looked. All ticks!!
He had really nice skin, smooth, and more on the lean-muscular side, and I was so, so surprised.
So, the activity became hotter and hotter, but it didn’t go to that level of heavy stuff. Since the tips had already been agreed upon during confirmation with the admin, there was no further transaction afterwards. Everything just went with the flow, and I could leave the table afterwards with a smile.

All the business went well, and I had a chat with him afterwards. He could understand English, but when replying, there seemed to be a little delay. So, you have to speak to him slowly. Or use google translate. He said he had only had me as a customer after four days without anyone coming in, and I was a bit surprised. Is it really that bad during the low season?
I must say yes this is super low season. But I think the location of the shop itself also plays a vital role in attracting customers.
Anyway, I tipped him well above the agreed amount and hugged him for the last time. He left me at the reception area while I waited for my GrabCar. While chatting with the admin about all the basic stuff, I noticed he had become much friendlier with me by then. Haha.
Overall, BKK Signature has a strong shop appearance. Good establishment and a good lineup. It’s just that the location and demographics might be a little challenging. Nong L is recommended based on my experience.
My rating: B- to almost A.
Would I come back again? Yes.
Anyway, Grab took me to my hotel, which I had booked near Nana Station for one night. The next day, I would move to a different hotel in Sala Daeng.
The night was already gone. My plan to go aroud Nana Plaza and everything else was gone too. The rain had started, and I walked a bit to the night market and bought mango sticky rice. My stomach is full and ready to sleep. Good night..

Normally in bar one can see this guy is smiling at me so may be interested in meeting , that one is clearly avoiding my eyesight so better to leave him alone and other one has blank stare, so better don't engage him unless his look is stunning.
Test I apply in Jupiter is tipping guy red note during walkabout and watch his reaction during second one or when they are on the stage. If there's trace or even broad smile , there's chance. If he still avoids my eyesight , better to leave him alone.
Painful was when one short-lived crush actually made grimace from the stage which I read as ' fuck off you old troll" or something. But that brought benefit - one less to chase

Pattaya can get really busy during the high season. I think I like it better like this. Clear skies, fresh air although the Supertown boys tell me it rains quite often (which helps to clean the air). If you've been to KL in the last week or so, you'll understand why fresh, clean air has become such a valuable commodity.

Well, gentlemen, that’ll put a wrap on this part of the trip. I’m at BKK getting ready to head to the island. Thanks for all the insight both before and once I got here. I definitely had a lot more fun because of all you guys. Was great to meet a couple of you. Hope to shake hands and have a beer with the rest of you at some point. One of my biggest regrets? Not spending more time on the rooftop of my Airbnb. I finally went up last night. It’s beautiful. Last night I booked the same place for my last couple weeks here.

The Sun has reported that young Russian men working in Pattaya's nightlife district say they left home partly because they fear being called up to fight in Ukraine.
The newspaper spoke to Sam, 23, from Moscow, and Ilya, 25, from St Petersburg, at a club on Walking Street. Both said they preferred work in Pattaya to the prospect of military service in Russia.
Sam, who had arrived in Pattaya three weeks earlier after first going to Bangkok, performs as a pole dancer at the venue. He said people his age were frightened they could be sent to fight and said he had buried friends and relatives during the war.
"Everything is so hard back home and every one of my age is terrified that they will be sent to fight," Sam told The Sun. He said he believed the conflict would not end until 2034, without explaining why he expected it to last that long.
Work and life on Walking Street

The Big Tool club is on Walking Street, at the centre of Pattaya's extensive red-light district. The venue employs men and women, and attracts male and female customers, according to the newspaper.
Sam said customers could buy drinks from a menu with prices reaching 1,390 baht. Ilya said he worked six days a week, with the club open until 3.30am, and offered hotel visits for 10,000 baht.
Commercial sex remains illegal in Thailand, even though nightlife and entertainment venues are highly visible in Pattaya and other tourist areas. Visitors and foreign residents should be aware that the law can be enforced, and that arrangements made through bars can carry legal, financial and personal-safety risks.
Ilya told the newspaper that Russia had changed sharply in recent years, claiming there was now "no money, no work and no hope". He said he would "definitely have to join the army" if he returned home, and added that he valued the freedom to be himself in Pattaya.
Yana, 26, a dancer from Vladivostok, told The Sun that many men at the club were from Russia or Turkey. She said Russian men would rather be in Thailand than risk ending up in the army and then at the front.

The report cited Ukraine's claim that Russia is suffering around 1,000 casualties a day, while stating that Russia is desperate to replace losses. It also said that, in the four months shortly after the war began, 233,000 Russians arrived in Phuket, according to the local airport.
Sam summed up his decision simply: "Why would I want to join the army and fight and die when I can be in Pattaya having fun?"

For sleep disruption and jet lag… I highly recommend the iPhone app called Time Shifter. This app lets you put in your flights, and then it gives you a very specific plan of pre and post trip sleep schedules, looking a bright light or keeping it dark, and using caffeine. It also has an option to use melatonin at specific intervals. I travel all around the world every month for my work and for pleasure… and this app works. You have to follow the plan (it sends you reminders on when to look at bright light, when to wear sunglasses, when to rest, sleep, take caffeine, etc. you typically start the day before and a few days after long intercontinental trips. But it works.

Other random first impressions...
- Wow there really are that many 7 Elevens.
- Didn't need bug spray today.  
- Was that a rat or a cat?  Sounds like a Dr Seuss line but holy f the rats here are enormous.
- Grindr options for an old fart like me are amazing... but I'm sure many are eventual Money Boys.
- Americans don't use air conditioning. We refrigerate ourselves. It's weird how low the ACs are here to this yank.
- Was stoked to see fried apple pies at mcDonalds. Until I saw the flavors: pineapple or corn. 

The first 24 hours have gone by and this city has not disappointed. As expected, I made all of these plans and did all this research and then just ended up improvising on my first night. This experience is so overwhelming. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be living here within a year.
I arrived at midnight and hastily made my way to immigration to try not to get in the back of the line. It didn't matter much. The line was about 15 minutes at the most. After two days of trying to sleep on airplanes and getting maybe two hours combined in 10 minute increments, I got into my Airbnb at 2 AM. I was so wired and excited I still ended up taking a walk around the neighborhood. I knew I would feel safe and I did even at 4 AM in the middle of the week. There were street markets at that hour... that blew me away.
I walked around this afternoon and got introduced to the massage scene. After doing a few laps around Si Lom, I ended up at 19 massage. Kit was my choice. Excellent massage the extras were OK. I'm a pretty easy customer in that. I don't go the full way with escorts or the like. Room charge was 700. I tipped him 1000 which probably was excessive. I have an appointment tomorrow at Ssence with Kairo. 
I was so mesmerized walking around tonight that I almost didn't even go to a go-go bar. A couple weeks ago a few of you got on my case that I was over planning and singling out whatever bar would be my best bet for the first night. As I imagined I would, I ended up not even making it to the one I planned. I think fresh boy was the one I ended up at.  The stage shows were much more involved than I thought they would be. I just came back from a short trip to Bangkok and thought I'd share a brief account of my experiences with the bars & spa. I was in the company of a few others, so my time exploring the bars & spa is somewhat limited, but hope it'll provide some useful info for others.
Part 1
Arrival
I arrived at DMK on a weekend and it was rather quiet. The airport itself is fairly small, so the total time spent from the gate to the exit was less than 15 mins.
FYI, apparently now you'd have to get your DTAC from the gov's app, THIM. It was fairly easy to set up an account and apply for your DTAC. At the immigration check, I wasn't asked to show the DTAC QR nor was there any enquiry about my available funds (which, apparently, may be asked randomly by the officers).
Hotel
I am a frequent guest at the Quarter Saladaeng but this time, I decided to stay at Ascott Sathorn (not Ascott Embassy, which is also in Sathorn). Right outside the hotel is Saint Louis BTS station, so quite easy to move around the city or to the bars in Silom. My booking also came with 2x BTS day passes, so that's a point.
The breakfast selection is not that different from Quarter Saladaeng but the gym is much smaller. Plenty of restaurants and cafes in the vicinity and no issues with bringing guys back to the room. There is a restaurant/bar at the hotel that opens early and closes late, in case you don't feel like going out.
Apps
As usual, plenty of guys available for hire on the apps but not as many as what I saw back in February. I'm not sure why but I guess something to do with the low season?. A few of them did reach out to me, quoting between THB 2000 to THB 4000 (yes, you read that right) but I didn't hire anyone from the apps.
Spa
I only tried one place during this trip: JeySpa.
I follow their Line account, so I always see the selection of guys available. I texted them in the morning of my visit for recommendations of boys and shared my preferences. A few boys were recommended to me and I ended up booking a 1 hour session with JJ in the Suite Room.
The rates I paid: THB 1250 to the spa (can be paid either by card or cash before the session) & THB 1500 to the massuer (cash only after the session). I was told that the rates for tips can go anywhere between 1500 to 2000, depending on the guy you pick.
I arrived at the spa a little earlier but JJ was already there. After a few mins of getting the room ready, I was led to the room. It was actually quite a nice room, much better than Arena's premium room (and a little pricier, too) with ensuite shower and toilet.
I showered first and when I finished, JJ came in and started the session. JJ is definitely muscular and has a defined body and huge dick. He was friendly during the massage, asking questions about me and my trip. The massage itself was alright (not amazing but not bad either).
After spending quite some time massaging my back and legs, he asked me flip. I thought he would spend some time massaging my upper body and front part of my legs but he went straight in for some nipple play (I was a tad bit disappointed but just went along with it). I told him that I was not looking for any anal fun at the moment and just some mutual light, side fun.
