I assumed so. But get em on stage. It’s like On Golden Pond on that stage rn. 😆

Reporting live. why not. Instead of trying to recall stuff. Let’s come to you live from the ‘Kok. Currently 1 of 3 customers sitting at Banana. I was drawn in when I saw 2 cute twinks wearing Banana shirts on the street. 5 guys currently stoneface on stage. None are those twinks. They’re bus boys I guess. Dang. Oh well I’ll hang for a bit. No twinks on stage all gym goers. None my type. But night is young. They are not. I like the banana layout. But yeah a little too old and muscly for me. I’ll give it til 1030 to improve.

Checked the ferry off the list. Pretty awesome for a buck. Tomorrow I might do the tourist boat day pass. This city at night is just unbelievable.

it's a little odd to me tbh that the low end shops and the nicer ones have the same rates... basically 600/700 for the room and 900ish for the tip for full service. I had to play my own music. The lightning was less than relaxing and the AC wasn't on when we went into the room. No candles. It was very bare bones. But I liked the kid so all was forgiven. I guess places make up for what's lacking by providing extra services the fancier ones don't.

LOL there's something about ordering a human being by a number I don't want to get used to. I'm ok ordering a McDonald's value meal that way... but yeah just gets on my conscience a little when Big Mac is an actual person. Just got back from my Tuesday morning blow.jo... uh massage. Neo at The Sun Massage on Soi 6. I'd seen him on the streets constantly ... it's like he was stalking me. And I have no problem with that if he was. Cute little Myrimar (I'm sure I'm slaughtering the spelling) guy with a big smile.

For the BKK lovers - what is your 2nd favorite city for stamp collecting?
yeah I think the obstacle of why I haven't bit the bullet yet and booked is the same as Thailand... it's such a time commitment. But I'm sure it's worth it. Trying to get some of my buddies to jump on but so far no takers. With Brazil I'd definitely be a little wary traveling solo. One day though.

Brazil is still on my to do list. Colombia has been awesome... so I'd imagine the energy is similar if not better.

Truer words... with you being a Florida guy, I can't tell you how many of my favorite nights in Ft Laud were when the place was nearly empty but that one guy who had all the customers attention on a Friday night was all yours if you went back Sunday. The dive bars are more fun if you have a crew with you. Since I'm traveling solo this trip, it's super awkward when you walk in and there are 15 guys staring at you in desperation. It feels so creepy when they're standing there defeated because they have to... wearing a number not a name (I know it's regulation). I just wish I could re-program how these bars do what they do. Give them some advice for fun, sexier shows that get the juices flowing. But seems like the routine is in place and has been for decades so I don't think they're open to ideas.

Yeah gotta get to that soon too. I especially want to do it at night.

Bangkok is probably my new favorite. It was Prague for a long time. Berlin is great if you love 'em blond and blue like me. Bogota and Medellin in Colombia held the top spot for me until BKK. Montreal and Fort Lauderdale are the only 2 hotspots in North America. Atlanta's scene has pretty much died out.

Another place we loved is one that he discovered. I told him how Italian is my favorite so he sought this place and took me to lunch yesterday here. Scarletta is near the Chong Nonsi BTS stop. So good. And a cute date spot.

I love how you think I've never been to clubs before 😉 Bangkok may be new to me, but off nights happen anywhere for sure. Even the duds I've been to so far I'll probably check out again at least once or twice. Goodboys was probably the biggest dud of them all for me but I'll still drop in again. If I was only here for a few nights I'd have to narrow my playlist... but I booked this trip this way for a reason. I get 2 weeks here in the front and back end of the trip. My hope is by the time October rolls around and it's time to go home, I'll be sick of all these clubs. I doubt that'll happen though. haha

Spent the day with my Grindr guy yesterday. It’s worked out quite well while I can spend the day with him and still have a little fun at night. 😉 we checked out this really cool little spot in a residential neighborhood called Hidden Bangkok Bistro. I saw it on YouTube. Awesome views as the boats go by with soft music, nibble on an appetizer. I had an orange smoothie that was fantastic. Unfortunately, it was drizzling for most of the time. But still definitely worth checking out.

I'm sure I'll have hit them all up at least once by the end of the visit. Those 4 are on my to do list still but I'll get 'em in. Even the clubs I've not enjoyed... I'm glad I checked 'em out. I don't want to get home with stuff on the checklist left. One thing I've been curious about and tested it last night is the ability to pop your head in and see if the roster is to your liking before ordering that first drink. I'd be far more willing to test every club every night. In the US, that's not kosher. If you want to see the merchandise, you've got to pay that cover charge first.

I'm a frugal dude too. It's why I can travel as much as I do. I'm kind of regretting all my flights I planned between cities within Thailand on this trip... but if/when I live here, I'll def be a bus guy. They're stupid cheap.

Yeah, I had my expectations set realistically that’s true of any city. I was surprised there were so many guys working last night in all the bars. I’m sure it’s not their choice. In the US strip club guys normally have to work mid week if they want to be used on the weekends.

Monday night update... Progress. I didn't sleep through club time. But I'm home before midnight. Hit up several of the bars I hadn't ventured into yet. I'm going to grade on a scale tonight because listen it's Monday night. I don't expect anyplace to be poppin' on a Monday night. Nature Boy Started the night here because it's not even 2 blocks from my Airbnb. Was in and out in about 16.4 seconds. 2 guys I'd swipe left on were occupying what felt like a hallway to nothing. My expectations were low and they were met. Super A I don't remember reading anything about this place. Saw 2 cute guys at a 7 Eleven who looked like workers on a break so I followed behind about 40 feet (yep, I'm a creeper) and saw them go in this place. Didn't know if it was a bar, massage spot... but what the hell. Seemed to be a hybrid. One of those super awkward moments when you walk in and realize you're the only customer so they make all the guys line up and they all stare at you. I asked what I assume was the mamas to let them be "at ease." There were about 8 guys... many decent looking. One smokin' hot muscle boy that might get some business from me before the week is over. Realize when I say muscle... I'm not talking about a bodybuilder. I'm a twink guy. This was a twink with a gym membership. Just had my initial drink and made my way to the next block. Hotmale At long last, I finally made it in. Again I'm going to try to be kind given it was a Monday night, but the lineup was meh at best. One of the guys looked like Pedro from Napoleon Dynamite. Just awkward emotionless standing on stage. The show looked like it could have passed for The Gong Show. Unfortunately no gong in site. I liked the layout of the place. But yeah the energy wasn't there and the presentation did nothing to get my juices flowing enough to warrant an off. I did like the lack of drag. And nobody was smoking - don't know if it's prohibited or not. So my new rankings... 1. Dreamboy 2. Freshboy 3. Super A (don't know if this belongs on this list given you have your fun on site) 4. Goodboy 5. Hotmale 6. Natureboy Havne't popped into Jupiter yet. Briefly stuck my head in Banana but when all I saw was a drag queen on stage, I moved on.

Listen... I need all the sleep I can get. I can't snooze through prime bar time anymore. Gotta sacrifice that 9 baht!

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen it open at night. I’ve walked by but during the daylight looks pretty quiet and empty. But I don’t think it’s closed. Someone asked about this bar in another thread. Going to try to check it out tonight.

For anyone needing a new wallpaper. I liked this perspective with 3 of the bars in one. Hotmale on the right and Fresh in the background.

First meal at Foodland. I know I didn't do it the proper way bringing a guy from the bars with me. In time. Had the American breakfast with an iced coffee. Passed my test. Quick and cheap.

yeah I tried to especially enjoy these moments the first few days. With all the cities I visit, it's like that.. you chase that initial high. The honeymoon phase winds down. Already I'm mellowing. But I know the moment I get back to the US I'm going to miss this. I am pretty certain I'll be living somewhere in Thailand by next year.

You know, it’s all your fault… all you guys. After reading so many of these posts over the past few months before my trip you got me way too excited so it’s all your fault. Thanks for all the great information you guys have posted over the years. It intimidating going to a new city for a first time. I can navigate you through the scenes In Montréal, Fort Lauderdale, Prague, London, Bogota, Medellin. I know them all like the back of my hand. So it’s exciting, but challenging roaming here for the first time. There is that kid in the candy store factor. My eyes are wide and I can’t wait to experience everything for the first time. I have a total of about four weeks in Bangkok, two in the front two in the back end of the trip. But there is that drive to get everything in as fast as possible. But definitely glad I ended up just taking it easy last night when we got back. This Shark still has some miles to swim. Seriously though if you guys go to that mall aquarium, don’t buy the ticket. We had fun, but was way overpriced.

Is NatureBoy dead?
Thanks for this thread. I’m staying not far away at all from this place. My Airbnb is maybe a block or two or away and I’ve walked by it so many times just not knowing the deal of what they do. There hasn’t been much chatter on this board about them so it wasn’t really on my radar. I’ll have to stop in and see what I see.
