Togayther Hostel Silom

Featured Replies

I came across this video:

This new (?) gay hostel in Bangkok seems te be next door to 1/0 sauna (see linked posts below) and of the same owner.

A hostel isn't my preferred type of accommodation. I like privacy and a bit of luxury. I see a hostel more as a budget option for backpackers. Young people. And I haven't considered myself young for a while now, and I dare say that applies to 99% of the forum members here. ;)

But the video does make me curious. After all, they also have private rooms besides the dorms. But what I'm especially curious about is the green/red slider on the room doors. You can use it to indicate that you don't want to be disturbed/are sleeping (red) or that others are allowed in because you're up for "fun" (green). And on a mirror in the building, you can leave messages and see which rooms are looking for or offering what... "room 304: greedy bottom." A very cruisy hostel...

The private rooms are small and basic, but they look new and clean. And where can you find a private room in the heart of Silom for around 25 euros a night?

Someone who wants to give it a go? Looking forward to trip reports.

The hostel can be booked on Trip.com: https://www.trip.com/hotels/bangkok-hotel-detail-48646212/togayther-hostel-bangkok/

And... Free 1/0 Sauna Admission for All Togayther Hostel Guests! (not sure if that will be for a long time, they advertise this now as a summer promo)

As far as I can tell, the sauna and hostel aren't next to each other, but a short 4 minute walk. I do also believe that the sauna has opened up some accomodation on the upper floors, if I recall correctly. Hostels and saunas aren't really my thing either, but it sounds kinda fun. Maybe one day.

I had heard of this place and was curious. I then saw hotel prices over the NYE period so figured its the perfect time to try it out, so I've booked a few nights in the dorm over New Years. Could be fun.

I stayed at a hostel in Tokyo that was similar. When I checked in the manager asked if I was gay, when I answered yes he said, I thought so, you'll enjoy the third floor:) Open showers and understanding the place is cruisy makes people pretty adventurous.

I'll be sure to report back.

I stand corrected then. I got my information from google maps where 1/0 Sauna is in the soi directly across from Le Meridien, and Togayther Hostel in the soi that also houses Wall Street Inn. I also found out that the top floor(s) of 1/0 Sauna is called Togayther Hostel Black.

Just had a look at some google reviews - Togayther Hostel Black is the one you would have seen sign-posted, and the original Togayther Hostel is a few blocks away.

I should be able to pass by soi Wall Str tonight or tomorrow and check so we are sure. It's quite possible there are two locations.

Ichigo information above is correct. My very eyes saw two locations exctly as described, one beside 1/0 sauna in soi post office and one in soi Wall Street Inn.. Both well sign-posted.

Thanks for confirming! I think I might try out 1/0 on my next trip, but I don't think I would be game to stay at a hostel lol, maybe one day just for fun

Emiel,

Since 99% here r not young, and 99% of hostel dwellers r probably young, if someone here goes there - he'll face problems...

Well, at least it advertises itself as gay. There was a report of a guy who got his gaydar mixed and tried to cruise a straight guy in a hostel. Unfortunately the guy was a somewhat popular YouTube personality in Taiwan, so news of the incident was in YouTube.

i did try a notorious hostel, though not explicitly gay, on my previous visit as I arrived at midnight to save some cash. It’s definitely not for those with mobility issues. No elevator, room was on the 4th floor. And was unlucky enough to be assigned the top bunk. Most are young folks from China and Taiwan.

I was staying in this hostel for a few weeks nights over the summer, it was full of Chinese bottom twinks running around looking for action.  Basically you sleep in a box, shower and restroom are basics.  But you are not there for their features comfort, you there for the actions that are taking place around you and in the bathroom.  I heard there is a new Togayther Black hostel just opened that is in the same building as 1/0 Sauna.

I will be in Bangkok next weekend. I will try out 1/0 since I am staying at 56 Surawong which is across Surawong Road.

Any news?

You guys got me curious i booked one night each on my Dec and Jan trips to BKK. I just go in to get a feel and hopefully get some body count. If not I'll go back to my hotel and activate other backup plans....

Looking at hotels for my next visit I saw De Arno is cheaper than Togayrher.   Anyone have thoughts on De Arno?

I stay there in May 2024 and absolutely no issues whatsoever , neither  with room nor visitors
