I've noticed in the press there is an attempt to equate the several victories of anti-incumbent Democrats to the right-wing Tea Party which was reacting to a black president. I don't get it. While there may be a commonality with race, the Tea Party was/is pro-racism, and the discussion within the Democratic party is anti-racist. I think the fundamental racist impulse behind the Tea Party is getting lost in the comparisons.
