Thailand seems to be the place I feel most comfortable. But, it is also the easiest to find nice places to live very inexpensively.

I have wanted to visit Costa Rico for many years. I'd love to know more about other places in the country. Who else has been there? What did you think? I have a friend who once went there 5 times a year from USA until he moved to Thailand. That was 10 years ago and he knows little about the scene now.

New York Rangers forward Sean Avery has given his support to the New Yorkers for Marriage Equality campaign with a 30-second video. Avery is said to be the first New York athlete to vocally support same-sex marriage. The news was first reported by the New York Times. In the Human Rights Campaign video, Avery, wearing a white shirt and glasses, says: "I'm Sean Avery and I'm a New Yorker for marriage equality. I treat everyone the way I expect to be treated and that applies to marriage." After showing two shots of him in his Rangers gear -- with the statements "New Yorkers support full marriage equality" and "Do you?" appearing across the screen -- Avery finishes the clip by saying: "Committed couples should be able to marry the person they love. Join me in supporting marriage equality." "Sean Avery knows what it means to be a leader -- on and off the ice," Brian Ellner, senior New York strategist for the Human Rights Campaign, a national gay-rights group, said in a released statement. "As the first professional athlete in the state to publicly support marriage equality, his voice is sure to resonate. Like a supermajority of New Yorkers, he believes in the freedom of all loving, committed couples to marry." Well, I am a Lit major and I learned something today. Thanks. I will know have to reread this sometime. Growing up in Alabama, this was required reading for everyone in high school that can read. OK, where do you get he wrote this?

LOL Maybe. But, it is action packed and if you liked the first 5, you will like this one. If you didn't see the first 5, well, where you have been?

A visit to Super A GoGo Bar, Solid GoGo, Thai Boy Massage, etc.
TotallyOz replied to TotallyOz's topic in Gay Thailand
Super A was dark and a bit dismal but fun. I call this soi the sleazy soi. I guess you know I like that a bit. In Super A, there were at least 4 boys that I thought were very sexy and would have taken home. That is 4 more than I saw in the bars on Soi Twilight last time I was there. So, I didn't really notice the dimness. However, I did notice that a bell rings when a customer is approaching and they all jump on stage. When the drink arrives, the boys sit down and seem to have zero interest in getting back on stage. Several boys approached us to say hi. I had one boy over for a drink at 100 baht and I was happy with this price. -
It is really scary that this is possible. I can't believe this could happen.

I saw their deserts as I was leaving yesterday and they looked yummy! Thanks for the heads up! I am headed back to Paragon today and may have to try one.

Right around the corner from Mango Tree (one Soi down from Tartawan) are several great bars. They are very inexpensive compared to other bars in Bangkok or Pattaya. First Mango Tree is a fabulous restaurant. If you don't make reservations, you may not get in. Great Thai food. Solid is a fun bar with about 15 or so gogo boys. They have some great looking guys and it is very laid back and friendly. The drinks are 100 baht. I have known the mamasan since the old Boy dot com across from Future Boys. Super A is around the corner from that bar and you have to walk upstairs. The place is small but some fantastic guys there. They have a short time room for 200 baht. The drinks are 120 baht. There were about 25 guys when I was there this past weekend. Right under Super A is a massage place with about 15 plus cute guys. Massages are 500 baht with happy ending. I was not sure the age of the boys there so I did not get a massage. Night Boys is a great bar that is totally renovated and nice. It is quite well-done and has many boys. Nature Boys only had 3 guys working so I didn't go in. But, if you are looking for a fun night in Bangkok with some amazing great gay boys, go to Mango Tree for dinner and then venture on the same soi for all the bars above. A trip to Tawan on the same soi is also fun but not really my type of guy.

I have been to Palm Springs several times and always really enjoy my time there. I have never been there in the heat of summer so I'd like to try that sometime as well. I hope our board residents from PS have an enjoyable summer!

I was able to eat there this weekend. The food was OK but nothing to write home about. I suggest you order Thai food and stay away from Farang food.

I have eaten at this place several times and the food is always great. It is on the bottom level inside the food court area. If you are at the McDonalds, walk straight back. It is not a closed in shop but has tables in the open area. It is right across from the Fish and Chips place. Paragon has so many fantastic places to eat and the eye candy there is perhaps the best in Bangkok. I usually eat from the stands throughout the mall but sometimes I like a sit down place to chat with a friend. 9th Cafe is great for this. You can get great food at reasonable prices and still see all the beautiful guys walking around. I love their breaded chicken with veggies and potatoes. It is quite good and 2 full pieces of chicken breasts. The cost was like 230 baht I think. The more you dine in the Paragon, the more you find great places. 9th Cafe is one of them. Give it a try when you are in the area!

I am looking for a place that does delivery to my apartment in Bangkok. I tried the store at Siam Paragon but they don't deliver. Anyone know of other places in Bangkok that will do grocery delivery? Thanks!

I went to MBK and had no luck. Anyone know of a good watch shop in Bangkok? I have a few watches that need batteries and some polar heart rate monitors that also need batteries. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

B and N was once my favorite place in Bangkok. But, the last 3-5 times I have been, there were few boys there and not much of a selection. Has anyone had any recent experiences with this place lately?

I am always happy with Hero and have reviewed it here before. I was there again 2 yesterday and had a fantastic time. On the weekends, Hero has a slew of handsome guys. On this last visit, there were over 45 guys waiting for work. They were all handsome and full of muscle. I chose a smaller guy named Lek. I had met him many years ago and was happy to see him again. He has a great body and gives a great massage. The mamasan there always finds me a good guy and I have never been disappointed there. Ask them what the boys do and they will tell you what they know or go and talk to the guy to find out. The cost of the massage is 600 baht and the minimum tip to the boy is 1000 baht. So, you can't walk out for less than 1600 baht. This is a bit expensive for many but it is totally worth it. The rooms are clean but basic. They have a shower in the room and you can get either oil or creme massage. IMHO, Hero is fabulous! Hero 65 Sukhumvit Soi 11 Phone: (02) 251

Is someone else going to keep it going?
