When I walked past Dream Boys last week, a price of 550 was written outside. The doubling in prices in Soi Twilight occurred over the last 10 years, not 20. I still clearly remember negotiating price in Hot Male to 200 from 250 around 2013. http://christianpfc.blogspot.com/2015/05/germany-and-thailand-inflation-and.html

I travel by bus from Bangkok to Pattaya And return by train or van (because the van leaves near Tuk-Com, walking distance from my accommodation). I take as much luggage as I can from Germany to Thailand, most of it is cheese and chocolate to last me for months in Thailand.

The boys could still work online. There are some Vietnamese boys in Pattaya as well (info by a friend on my recent 9-11jan2018 trip).

Trip Report with a bunch of other stuff thrown in.
ChristianPFC replied to faranglaw's topic in Gay Thailand
Great reports, looking forward for more! Zy (former Lomchoey) is indeed a bit (very?) run-down, and rather expensive at 500 THB for 1 hour oil massage, when you can get the same, but with hot water for shower (the luxury!) in Silom for the same price or even cheaper. I have spent a bit of time in Bang Saen, and estimate then number of beach chairs to 20,000 (from multiplying number of rows and columns and blocks). Around 2012 when I was active on camfrog, there were a lot of boys from Burapha university. There must be some potential, from university or visitors! -
I walked in Silom Soi 4 a few days ago with a Farang friend and indeed, the boys from Nakarat cought (both our eyes / our both eyes - I mean all four eyes). But then my friend chatted in Thai with one of the boys, and a tip expectation of 2000 for extras was mentioned, whereupon both of us lost interest. Nowadays I tend to tip for 1 hour oil massage: 300 for just massage, another 500 for happy ending (where the masseur has to get naked and I want to get my hands and lips everywhere on his body). I have regulars who come to my place for 1000 at a time of my choice, and I cannot justify tipping a massage boy the same, when I have to travel and pay the massage place.

Just a few years back, X-Size (do you mean X-Size or X-Boys?) hat a special drink price 200 instead of 300, and off fee 300. More precisely, that was in Oct 2014 that I made use of their special 200 THB for drink: http://christianpfc.blogspot.com/2014/10/x-size-wednesday-08102014.html

Looking at the palace from the Kempinski, I assume? But I have read that the palace is open to public at certain times, but couldn't find out when exactly. I surely want to go!

Correction: most buses have LCD screens. There are plenty who cannot be educated and will remain unskilled, no matter how much you school them.

I have been twice and there was smoking on both occasions, and in both occasions close enough to me that I could smell it which hastened my departure from the venue.

Not just that, but decomposition as well. The chemicals that are in poppers (lower alkyl nitrites) decompose at ambient temperature, which can be easily detected by smell (fusel oil when decomposed). No vendor will throw away decomposed poppers, he will try to fob it onto an unsuspecting newbie user. Best stored in the refrigerator.

Go to shop directly, not use hotel's service. I once did in 2009, only to find out later that hotel is twice as expensive and takes twice as long as laundry shop across the road.

Winner Boys in Sunee Plaza opening February 18th
ChristianPFC replied to williewillie's topic in Gay Pattaya
I don't like ties and bowties, but at least they don't hide much. Towels is ok, and some have nothing underneath. I don't like shorts like in Eros; and I like underwear best for the boys to wear (with tastes for cuts and colors, beyond the scope of this forum). -
On the bus, buying a ticket is not a waste of time because the bus is already running when the cashier comes along. Whereas queuing at MRT or BTS ticket automats is a waste of time. A question nobody has an answer to, most people don't even see the problem: there is much more unskilled labor than is needed, in every country of the world, and increasing.

From two visits this year, the street trade around the royal palace is almost dead, and the little that remains has moved to Klong Lot, and is not worth going.

LGBT expo to be held in BKK-Impact - 25/28-1-18(2061)
ChristianPFC replied to pong's topic in Gay Thailand
For those who can't figure out the dates: 25 to 28 of January 2018 (or year 2561 in Buddhist Era). -
Some Bangkok buses have card readers installed at the doors, and all buses now have an LCD screen that shows, among others, use of cards and the card reader. I'm optimistic that there will be a unified cashless payment system for all kinds of public transport on Bangkok within my lifetime. (Sidenote: Now that I often go with a Farang friend by his car on the tollway, I noticed that there are two operators: one has a choice between cash and a cashless remote payment system with a device installed in the car, which my friend has (the cashless remote payment device), and the other operator is cash only.)

Neven been in such a situation. Situations that come close were: The boy Art who tried to steal my camera (it was already in his backpack), who was not a money boy (but I supported him with small amounts of a few hundred Bath, which obviously was not enough). I made it clear that I was not amused, and even gave him money for taxi when he asked for it, even thought at that point I knew already that beside taking my camera, he had been at my wallet as well. Should not have given him taxi money! The boy Bom Minburi (moneyboy) who stole from me 3 times already, combined 1800 THB, but he is my type! He does not know that I know that he stole from me. Still pondering if I should invite him once more, to announce at the end that I know that he stole from me, and he has the 1000 we agreed upon for short time already stolen and I won't give him any more. In your case I would have sent the boy out without money. Even better if you did not talk about money for sex. From a legal point of view, these are two different things: first you would have to pay for the service, and then you can report him to the police for trying to steal from you.

No problems with dogs. I look at them, speak with them. It's a question of attitude. Didn't your parents teach you not to take candy from strangers? It's the same with invitations from bar boys or staff that you don't know well: either the invitation is not sincere (just small talk) or you will pay heavily if you follow. I once did and paid heavily (both in money and sanity): http://christianpfc.blogspot.com/2015/11/trip-to-nakon-nayok-with-some-thai.html

For me the question is rather: will the boy get naked, and preferably hard? A handjob is worthless to me, unless I can get my eyes and hands on a handsome body.

Didn't someone say somewhere sometime [citation needed] that the appeal of the barracks is the shared bathroom, especially public showers?

As I said many times, prices in Soi Twilight are outrages. Here one more confirmation. I don't like sex in saunas, but that is mostly for cleanliness issues and poor lighting, both can be solved. But there are clear advantages: theft is impossible, no space-time confusion like when meeting Thai boys, no time lost traveling (to your room).

That must have been a misunderstanding. But interesting question, that number naturally is much lower, between 10 and 20.

This story more and more reminds me of a Canadian who has gone blind (insider joke, only those who follow other gay Thailand forums will understand)
