  1. Disgusting! I guess people who kill animals for fun would kill humans for fun.
  2. e.g. here: My estimations are based on google maps with satellite image, and to make sure there is no mistake in google maps, I just checked the length of running track in nearby stadium: 410 m (should be 400 m).
  3. There are adverts for group sex parties on http://www.gboysiam.in/picpost/ (no personal experience, but one day I might go to check it out), which brought me the idea that this would be the place to post about a bukkake party and offer 500 Baht per participant to cover travel expenses. That event should take place in a short time hotel room (ask how many guests you can have, extra towels?) in Ramkhamhaeng / Ladprao area, as there are many boys in this are. On a weekend afternoon or on a weekday night. I would set up a Line account for this purpose, where people can apply with their stats and picture.
  4. The length of the wooden bridge is incorrectly given at 850 m somewhere on the internet, the actual length is 450 m. I went in February http://christianpfc.blogspot.com/2015/02/mon-bridge-in-sangkhlaburi.html
  5. Not any more (climbing to the top of Sathorn Unique). After the apparent suicide of a tourist earlier this year, it's all closed and locked (and I mean ChristianPFC-proof closed and locked, I had a look recently). "Apparent" because it took me two years and four attempts to get in. And who would make the effort to climb to 47th (?) floor to hang himself?
  6. (my emphasis) But where they buying? I spend some time in shopping malls, but I'm only looking. I buy everything I need at local markets.
  7. While I don't need a guide for Thailand at all and find my way around in neighboring countries alone (back at the tourist stage: don't speak the language and don't know my way around), this is a great service for people who like security or company or for who convenience is more important than saving money (e.g. the Bangkok gay sauna tour http://bkktour.info/index.php/bangkok-gay-sauna/ for 700 Baht - for the tour, not including entry to saunas - can be easily done by oneself, but you would have to read the internet for hours and make a plan and figure out how to get there and need to know when which sauna is busy).
  8. The parody is based on footage from a movie "The Downfall" (original title in German "Der Untergang"), which I consider a great movie. On the subject of Hitler parodies ("Ich hock' in meinem Bonker" in English):
  9. There are gay bars in Hua Hin (no personal experience) and Hat Yai (only host bar here). Udon Thani and Khon Kaen have some gay massage (don't know how much English they speak). Chiang Mai and Phuket would be my recommendation (assuming for second visit to Thailand you want to go some place used to tourists).
  10. Those taxi fares must be without meter or meter and long time in traffic jam. There is a train as well, at least one per hour (all lines from north and north-east pass and stop). There are some BTS ticket automates that accept bills (all MRT accept bills). Interesting idea how to circumvent having no coins.
  11. I should have been more specific. I meant "taking taxis from spots where they stand and block one lane of the road, forcing customers like me and honest drivers onto second lane". How much each of us tips is their own business. cedric: Bangkok taxis are a drain and very unpleasnt in the main, there are exceptions but they don't prove the rule. I've just come back and I've been going for many years. Its just a sad fact and they are getting worse, there is every reason in the world to talk of the Taxi Mafia at this stage. I disagree with every word. Anyway, it seems the op has other motives than wanting to know alternatives to get from airport to hotel.
  12. That's an interesting confession. I would like to watch (and touch) a straight boy fuck a girl, only double costs (pay two prostitutes) and not knowing how to arrange it has prevented me so far. Anyone with personal experiences here? But that would be a great opening line by your boy. Well I do. There are Thai style discos in Bangkok, on busy nights there are over 500 Thai and less than 5 Farang. Saunas with over 100 Thai and 2 Farang.
  13. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palad_khik I recently saw some with multiple heads at Klong Toey market (if someone tells me how to upload picture directly from my computer, I will post it).
  14. And there is a train (to Aranyaprathet, but then taxi does only take you to the border crossing as well) which costs 48 Baht (no mistake!) however it has no aircon and takes a few hours longer. People like you and firecat who know about the taxi mafia, but still use taxi who don't use the meter, are part of the problem. Absolutely! A rule of thumb: a taxi standing in a tourist area or in front of a hotel/restaurant is generally trying to overcharge you. An exception I found is the corner Silom/Saladaeng, where standing taxis always switch on the meter without me prompting to do so, whereas across the road (Silom in front of Soi 2), they usually ask for 100 Baht to go to Malaysia hotel area. It has to do with how you behave as well. When I see tourists in group discussing with a driver, and showing maps or printouts or mobile phone screen, I know they are going to be overcharged. In fact, if time and place permits, I eavesdrop because it's entertaining. I just get in (front seat for better view; most people prefer back seat) and state my destination.
  15. 99% of my taxi experiences are positive. But I speak Thai with them, so they know I know prices and locations (looking back, in the last fours years it was that I give directions to a place, instead of asking the taxi driver to take me to a place whose exact location I don't know). I had even some trips where driver took me to main road for free at end of shift. By taxi mafia I mean taxis who refuse to use the meter (usually they ask for twice the meter fare, the few times per year I check to confirm that standing taxis in Silom and Surawong refuse to use the meter). This practice deprives honest drivers of their fare and delays traffic as they block one lane, forcing customers to hail a taxi on second lane, then road is fully blocked. One could argue that they save energy by not driving, but they have their engine running for aircon. I think one of the new taxi services has taxis parked in certain locations instead of roaming around. Side note: when possible, I ask taxi driver "Where do you go when you have no customer?" and will make a statistic some time. Responses so far inconsistent. No matter where and how much, I refuse and advise everyone else to do so as well. Honest taxi driver is just around the corner. I had two trips with flat fare: on my first time in Thailand (ignorance) and on Songkran 2013 with a drunken boy in tow (poor planning on my part, special circumstances).
  16. These helmets are Wehrmacht (German army during WW2).
  17. And he did! We met again on his return and he gave me details. I did when I was living in Paris. Flight was in the morning before public transport started, so I took last bus to airport and spend night there instead of taking taxi in the morning. I do. The point is there is no other option than flying (boat or train/bus/car would be too slow), but there are options to get from the airport to your hotel. You should get a medal for your support of taxi mafia!
  18. Either those boys you meet are among the few who really are into Farang or they have a hidden agenda. Just have a look into a Thai for Thai gay sauna or disco, and you will see that is not true. I have met a few Thai boys who are into Farang but not into Thai, this might apply to 5% of gay Thai boys.
  19. Thank you very much for sharing. "KFC calls Hitler fried chicken extremely distasteful" made my day! Hilarious! Overall a funny and well researched show. The op is correct, on the truck is a nazi symbol, not a buddhist symbol. I have a large collection of pictures I took of nazi symbols used for fashion in Thailand and will post some day on my blog (to cover the entire subject, I need three posts, hence long preparation).
  20. It's not just you.
  21. First you need a smart phone, and second two SIM slots if you want to you use both cards (one for internet, one for phone calls; however you can get both in one). I use internet on my mobile, there are so many calling plans, I pay about 300 Baht per month (pre-paid) and don't even know which calling plan I'm in and wouldn't be able to give directions how to set it up (just ask at a shop, find one with staff who speak English).
  22. I have no experience with torrents, it could well be that the .exe is legitimate. But nonetheless, I am wary of websites that want me to install a program or download anything else then the movie I want to see or want my credit card information for free membership registration, hence I prefer youtube.
  23. That site wants me to download an .exe first and install a download mangager. I didn't, I searched on youtube where you can watch without the hassle: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWle__LCfOM Thank you for bringing this to my attention! (to moderators: double post should be removed and thread moved to gay world)
  24. Assuming you want to take the one or other boy to your room, stay in South Pattaya in a hotel in walking distance to Sunee or Boyztown. Ride to Jomtien is about 10 minutes without traffic, but it can take over 30 minutes when there is traffic jam. In 2013, I was staying in Jomtien repeatedly, until I was caught in a traffic jam around 8 pm (a time where I would want to be in a bar), and then had to wait in rain to get songtheo back to Jomtien at 2 am (a time where I would want to be in bed).
