  1. One place is missing: Lomchoey in Soi Ngamduplee. I went there three times last year (one hour oil massage 400 Baht, currently 20% discount from 500 Baht), had a different masseur every time, they all were trained in massage and were very skillful at happy ending as well. The place is very basic however (e.g. no warm water in the shower). (My experience with massage is limited, but I remember cases where the masseur neither had professional training nor any skill at happy ending.)
  2. Calling is fine (1-2-call SIM). (Thursday 16.01.2014 13:00)
  3. Yes, posting on my blog instead of up to three forums saves me time as I have only one place to update. Anyway, if I posted all that on the forums, it would dominate them.
  4. That took longer than expected, but the story continues here: http://christianpfc.blogspot.com/2014/01/weekend-in-chachoengsao-part-2a-general.html
  5. Holiday Inn Silom is not budged (but maybe someone else pays for it, if they go for a conference). It depends: are your friends interested in history, nature, culture or want to relax? One or two days in Pattaya is a must, my opinion. Ayuttaya would be on my list as well.
  6. I used to be a face person a few years ago, but now I changed to paying more attention to the body. I even used to say that if the face is cute, I don't matter about the body, now it is different. The body has much more surface to touch and to look at than the face.
  7. It's on my list of places to go, have some patience.
  8. I think I came across this website before. Without Thai script, it is completely useless, those who can read and write Thai will not use it and those who can't read and write Thai will not get the correct vowel lenght and tones (and therefore will not be understood, which is a good thing in this case). If you stay long enough on the message boards, you notice that some stuff gets asked/posted again and again (e.g. off fees, AEON ATM) and then you just have to copy past what you said earlier (if you can still find it, I need google to find my own posts!): This is what I said here: http://bangkokbois-gay-thailand-blog.com/2013/02/28/first-timers-guide-to-bangkok-gay-gogo-bars-part-x/
  9. Visa run advice? Abstract: where in South-East Asia can I travel and stay cheaply, even during Chinese New Year, and get a triple entry tourist visa for Thailand? My work visa and work permit end on 31.01.2014. (1) I have to leave Thailand, but want to come back after a few days to spend some more months in Thailand. (2) It will be Chinese New Year, which will make travelling and finding accommodation difficult. In which countries in South-East Asia Chinese New Year is not celebrated to a large extent? I want to go for a visa in a country where I can enter preferably without needing a visa and without entrance fee of any kind (as a German). I would go to the Thai embassy of that country and apply for a triple entry tourist visa. (I plan to spend the entire April in Europe and want to come back after that.) In which countries/embassies is this process easy, where can I encounter problems? Last but not least, I like to travel and stay on a low budget. I want to do some sightseeing in that country (several days, up to a week). Any suggestions where to go or what else I can do? I wouldn’t mind some gay activities, but for some days or up to a week I can do without. Apart from Chinese New Year, the political situation in Thailand might change and make a visa run difficult or impossible. (1) Is it possible to get an extension for my work visa, after the work contract ends? (2) After these few more months, I want to stay in Thailand on a tourist or ED visa, find a new job in Thailand, or go back to Europe for work if I find a job. (update: I discussed this with a friend and he said that there are an additional 7 days time to leave the country after the work visa expires. But if this was true, it would be stamped in the passport? It would make sense, according to my work contract I would have to work until 5 pm on Jan 31st (3) and then leave the country on that very day because my visa expires at midnight.) (3) Jan 31st is a holiday, so I only have to work until Jan 30. But if it wasn’t a holiday, my last day of work would be the last day I am permitted to stay in Thailand.
  10. Offing several boys from a bar, that will be expensive! I had those three motorcycle drivers from Hua Lampong for 1000 Baht (+ cost for room and beer total 2000 Baht), but it was not an orgy, everyone was wanking for himself to the porn on the TV, I can have that cheaper at home (I was expecting them to fall over each other, as if they always wanted to have sex with each other and never dared to say so). One orgy I missed was in a sauna. I chatted with three twink boys, then we were on the way to a room and I asked how old they are. One of them was 17. So I asked to see his ID, we went into the locker room, an indeed he was 17. So we couldn't go to the room, changed the subject and nothing else happened on that sauna visit. (That sauna has an 18+ policy, I won't name it, I don't know how the boy got in.) I recently had two boys from camfrog, one sucking my nipples and one my dick. Apart from these, everything else I do is quite mainstream and one on one.
  11. I can try. Just post it here and I will point out mistakes I notice. There is a book "Thai for gay tourists" by Saksit Pakdeesiam which I own and have read once. Paiboon publishing, 325 Baht.
  12. If he knows you have been lusting after him for days (according to your posts), he might think he can get away with doing nothing. In such cases (desperately wanting a boy), I exercise some self-control and let it settle a bit, surely I do not let the boy know that I want him desperately, that might lead to decreased activity in bed and increased tip expectations. The last boy I wanted desperately was the Vietnamese stunner at Scorpion bar (he is still there), I made a fool of myself, spent a lot of money (over 500 Baht (in words: five hundred) on drinks, including return visits) and didn't get him to bed. That taught me a lesson: never again!
  13. I haven't been to Cupidol for a while, but from walking past regularly I can confirm that it is high on my list of bars with the best underwear. (Sidenote: Funny Boys now allow their boys to wear underwear they want every night, before there was just Sunday night underwear fashion show.)
  14. Who? The highest I ever paid was 1200 Baht per night, that was four years ago. Now I know better, haven't spent more than 800 per night in Bangkok, and regularly stay for 600 Baht per night in Pattaya.
  15. I went to Jupiter about two years ago and was shocked to see the majority of the boys in shirts (sleeveless, but nonetheless front and back covered). I do not pay gogo bar prices to watch boys in shirts! Same applies to Hotmale (I have been told that the shirts come off after the first show). This is unacceptable for me, if I look through the door of a gogo bar and see boys in shirts, I will go elsewhere, where boys are shirtless.
  16. It's a question of convenience, space and time. In bars, you should be able to find a boy you like within short time and take him home. If you are looking for non-paid encounters, you can spend hours searching gayromeo, spending time in shopping malls (I have never met a boy in a shopping mall, I know this only from others' tales), discos, saunas, and still go home alone. I live in Bkk and have about 50% encounters for free and 50% paid (but not from Soi Twilight - far too expensive). But if you are good looking and in shape, you should try your luck. With outrageouse prices in tourist areas, it is worth looking for non-paid encounters. I wouldn't say "locals who are looking for real romance", I would say "looking for sex".
  17. My memory. I am sure I saw him at least once in Classic Boys. I have been twice during the last four months.
  18. My version of the night at Saranrom (shorter because I just note the differences from previous visits, same as posted on my blog):
  19. The architectural element is a rostral column. I saw it first at Opera Garnier and wondered why they put models of ships around the column. A: Vienna, Tegetthoff monument near Praterstern B: Paris, Opera Garnier C: Paris, Place de la Concorde D: Bangkok, saphan phan fa lilat near Golden Mount and Loha Prasat E: Sankt Petersburg, on the Neva river (from internet: The Rostral Columns are situated on Strelka, the eastern tip of Vasilievsky island.) 20. City and location within that city?
  21. I think I recognize the boy, he has been working in Classic for a long time (over one year), which means there are good chances he will still be working there and available for others next year.
  22. What did you advise her? Places, prices? I live to far away (20 km) to take a boy home, and now probably won't off a boy for a while, but thought about short time rooms. Seems it starts from 500 Baht, too much (whereas around Saranrom 200 Baht is fine for me). Some posters mention to meet the boy after work, or even go to late night discos. That's not an option for many, including me. I like to be in bed, sleeping, at midnight and not wait for a boy to finish work at 1 am.
  23. Totally agree with op, current prices in Soi Twilight are unrealistic. What I do is going to Soi Twilight only for strolling through the soi about once per week, very rarely do I enter a bar (every one or two months). I take my business to Soi 6, Pattaya, Saranrom instead. There might be boys who are worth all the money you have to spend until they are in your bed, but it will be very costly to find out which one. I over the years, I had about fifteen different boys in Soi Twilight, they were ok, but none of them was that great that I would take him again for that money. Then I had the sixteenth in Super A, and he was worth coming back (three times, now he has left Super A). But how much time and money have I spend on the the other 15? Location wise there is not much distance between Soi Twilight and Soi 6, nonetheless in Soi 6 prices are considerable lower, on Pattaya level. There seems to be a reticence among customers to pay these prices (1500 for short time, plus off fee). I hear from several sources that boys complain they don't get offed. Most recent case is my regular from Saranrom, he worked in Hotmale for 7 days I was his only customer (and I only took him from there and paid 400 Baht off fee and 1500 tip because I had told him the week before that we could meet again next week and called him that night to ask where exactly he works - he didn't know the difference between Silom, Soi 4, Surawong and Soi Twilight). Now he is back on the street. Seems 500 Baht every day in Saranrom is better than 1500 Baht once per week in Hotmale. The money (tip to the boy) is not about paying rent or food, it's about driving taxi instead of bus, partying all night, having the latest mobile phone. I get strange looks when I ask boys where they live and which bus line they take to work. Bus? No! Taxi (ok, some of them share taxi). The tip to the boys goes to taxi fares, partying all night, buying the latest mobile phone. The high price for drinks and off fee is to pay off someone who sits at the right position, and gets money for doing nothing. I am not supporting this system any more.
  24. December quiz: where were these pictures taken? During my travels, I came across an architectural element which is shown in all pictures. What is the name of this architectural element and where were these pictures taken (please be specific: town and place within this town). I have been to four places (A, B, C, D) myself, pictures with date and time stamp were taken by me. Where my pictures are of low quality, I use pictures from internet. I haven’t been to the fifth place E, pictures are from internet. In some cases, I edited the pictures. I will post links to the source for pictures from internet after the quiz is over. Sorry, there is no prize. Please wait until December 24th before you post your reply to let everyone interested participate. Place A: Place B: Place C: Place D: Place E:
  25. Offing a boy without sitting down and ordering a drink might not be the standard procedure, but I did so several times and there was no hint from staff that they would like me to enter their bar and buy a drink for me and for the boy.
