I've flown Copa before, and they have a pretty good product. I had a Paraguayan boyfriend for 2.5 years, and Copa is the only way to get to Paraguay with only one plane change (in Panama City). I'm surprised Gol, a low-cost Brazilian airline made it so high on the list, though.

Surprisingly for a country where no one is on time they are...They've always be an ok airline, I was a fan of Mexicana back in the day.... but AM is very punctual. I used to joke with my friends to not be late, because if they have almost everyone onboard, they'll leave when they are ready, with or without you.

Copa is good, their website is like AM, shitty...

When I was in Cuba, Cubans flights often left early, sometimes 30 minutes.  Made sure you got there in good time!

Apparently  not. I was warned that they took off when they wanted to, whether all paying pax were on board or not! This was sometime ago, but.... in fact, the internal flights I took were all on time.

Internationally, they fly with their own mechanics onboard, crew chiefs if you will......

First time i went there from London  they were flying old Russian IL76. Joke was toilets just a hole in the floor! Good cocktails, though. Later they had Western aircraft, then I good shape. Now?

I haven't flown Cubana in a number of years, also flew on their IL76 and YAK 42's ....
