No flight ticket or proof of funds required. 

Incidentally, apparently the Senate voted a few weeks ago to maintain the visa waiver but it would subsequently need a similar disposition in the Chamber (aka House of Deputies, I believe) … my knowledge of government structure and terminology is somewhat lacking. 

I assume any voting would lump the three affected nations together and not stratify, say, particularly USA, according to the influence of more recently applied tariffs that I think does nothing to promote re-establishing the visa exemption, although there is the precedent of exempting Japan exclusively a while back based on other factors.

Thanks. Since I can’t travel until past July or August, I’ll hold off until May to begin the process.

I think of the story you told @Latbear4blk where you didnt realize you were putting on a show until you talked to the door man of your building. Who was informed by an old lady who saw your activities from her home. lol

 

My boy left Thursday afternoon. It took me 24 hours to resuscitate but last night I felt I was ready to give another try to Lagõa. However, it was raining, and the more experienced friends here taught me that Brazilians stay home when it rains. I did not want to stay home, so instead of going to the sauna I went to the local Eagle, which is around the corner of my airbnb. It was empty, about 10 pm, but it looked promising and cruisy. Does anyone know what are the best times to go there? I may try the sauna earlier and stop by this bar in my way back to my nest.

Well, yes, I was making a related comment. I have fun reminding this incident, but I do want to remind everyone the lesson I learned: I should not be an entitled asshole expecting the locals to accommodate to my whims.

I don't think you were an asshole. I think you were enjoying the company you were having and forgot the world around you. Because you were deeply enjoying the bliss you were in that you forgot people could see. LOL. But I like you do not want anyone thinking I am an entitled asshole either. I love and respect the Brazilian people and want to be continually able to enjoy them over and over again.

Yes, @pauleiro, I was there my last Sunday in SP. It was rainy but There was a good crowd. I did not like Lagoa, but had plenty of fun in the darker corners of the Eagle. It was around the corner for me, so I went there several days.
