LAPD is fully capable of violently repressing both the protesters and criminals without the "help" of the National Guard or especially the fucking MARINES. As a police force, maybe. However, the city lacks the funds. On the news, I have heard that the costs involved may drive the city into bankruptcy. From a financial perspective, I'm all for the federal government paying for its own mess. Why should the city of LA be on the hook to protect federal agents? They can and did at the onset (at the request of ICE agents), but this comes at a heavy financial cost. Quote

I remember the anarchists showing up at a very small, and peaceful protest against the war in Central America in the 80s. They have been at every protest I’ve been to. They don’t give a shit about the issue people are protesting, they just want to start trouble. And then there are the Proud Boys and other right-wing groups who also infiltrate protests on the left and try to incite riots. What we should be more concerned about is a president mobilizing the National Guard and the Marines to be used against American citizens. That is the real story here. As we learned in the aftermath of the Black Lives Matter demonstrations: some of the provocateurs were plants from right-wing organizations. So it's not just the left, but the extreme right. I’m talking about the protestors that Don the Con is planning on using our military against. Believe me, if you are an undocumented immigrant, you try to lay low and don’t show up at protests. Most of them are too busy working anyway. unicorn and Ruthrieston 2 Quote

They still talk about the BLM protests as examples of how radical leftists burned down American cities, when those of us who are in touch with reality know that is not true and the violence was started by infiltrators. I didn’t realize Moses was from Russia (I always thought Moses lived in Judea). Ironic, isn’t it? I’d like to know why he left Russia if he’s so in favor of Putin’s tactics on US soil and against immigration. Quote
