Hotei Park Silom- Suriwong - new kid on the block

Spacious room. The sofa in front of bed is something only 5 star hotels have. Can accommodate more than 2 people in room for sleeping.

But personally too far for me. I wouldn't want to walk that much back every night. I prefer 56 surawong, raya and ibis styles.

you sound like some of our boys.

I was lucky, one of boys I hosted there lives in condo nearby, another one has a motorbike so did not heard any complains

agree

disagree, too cramped , for the price there are quite a few of better options

I agree about Ibis being cramped. I will only stay there if I want to use the swimming pool

to be fair I was impressed how  well such small room was organized. Best value for hotel with pool in the area seems to be Trinity Silom but it's generation since I stay there last time

I think Rose Hotel is another cheap option with pool. But of course it is rather old.

I used to always stay at the Rose back in the early 2000s, and it was old even then!

But it could still be an option for some, as it's close to the action and the pool is great.

I wonder if those 3 women are still working there? I believe they were sisters. They were very accomodating regarding my visitors. On the odd occasion the guy did not have ID, they would interrogate him before deciding if I should take him to the room. If I returned to the hotel alone, they would ask : 'you don't have friend tonight?'  Lol

If you think that was old, my first stay there was in 1980! This is the pool in the old hotel with the excellent restauant Ruen Urai at the end.

Now there is also The Rose Residence. Its entrance is on the left as you approach Ruen Urai. I believe The Residence also has its own roof top pool. Rates presently seem to be around US$100 - $110.

I stayed at the Rose on my first Bangkok trip in 1988, the rooms were very basic but the restaurant downstairs served up some very nice food and the staff were very good and helpful. For me, I like the Raya but every time I go online to check on booking them it either says no rooms available (unless I book at least 6 months in advance) or the price is up a bit too high. I liked the Tarntawan of old but my last stay there the aircon was all screwed up, literally water coming out of it and all the maintenance staff did was to keep mopping it up plus the thermostat was stuffed and it was freezing cold as there was no way to adjust the temperature on it. I don't mind the Ibis at all, yes the rooms may be a bit small but then I'm not there to dance around a big room, it has a very basic gym which is OK and the pool is a positive for me and add to that the food and staff were good too. Location wise I also liked the Ibis, next trip (most likely second half of 2026) will either be Ibis or Tarntawan.

The Rose Residence  is very nice. I have a view of the rooftop pool from my room at Le Meredien,  and though small, I have never seen anyone in it!
