Members unicorn Posted Saturday at 07:03 PM Members Posted Saturday at 07:03 PM Yesterday we went to the Halloween party of a friend who lives in a pricey but small condo in the heart of Boystown (west West Hollywood). It has only one bathroom, and he specified on the invitation "Don't poop at my place." Of course, we'd never intentionally save it up for a party, but felt compelled to take some Imodium just in case. The party, indeed, had almost 100 attendees, and the line for the bathroom could be extremely long--but mainly due to people using the bathroom for non-toilet related purposes. Prior to that party, we went to another party, which was held in a small house, and he had a place in his backyard which he designated for peeing, since he also had only one bathroom. I've never seen no-poop instructions on an invitation before. Have you ever given or received such instructions? Keithambrose, Ruthrieston and floridarob 3 Quote

I'd certainly skip such invitation unless I expected to see somebody there I really wanted to meet for some reason. Quote

I'd certainly skip such invitation unless I expected to see somebody there I really wanted to meet for some reason. It's a one-bedroom, one-bathroom place with a kitchenette, largish living room, and decent-sized balcony with two couches. Apparently 120 people RSVP'd to the party (there was actually security giving out wristbands to those on the list), though I suspect only 90 people at its peak. There were plenty of people there I wanted to meet, including the host, whom I've invited to several of my parties, and some good friends. Our current house guest also wanted to go. I'm not a huge party goer who needs to go to a party every week-end, but it's fun to mingle with a bunch of young men, often in skimpy "slutty" costumes. Our WeHo friends are mostly in their early 30s, and it's particularly difficult to afford a decent-sized place in western West Hollywood, even if one is fairly successful. Quote
Popular Post PeterRS Posted yesterday at 03:15 AM Popular Post Posted yesterday at 03:15 AM I have friends who a dozen or so years ago bought a beautiful small one-bedroom flat in Tokyo. But it was almost unique in my experience as it had a deck outside which could easily accommodate 50. The problem was the toilet. It was one of the then latest Japanese gadgets which do a great deal more than merely flush. There were instructions on the wall, but they were only in Japanese. Many at their first party were foreign friends who had little clue how to work them if they needed to poop. Most guys took so long trying to decipher the insructions, the end result was a long queue for peeing with many just going to the edge of the deck to water the garden below! I guess the Japanese couple below must have wondered how their flowers looked more lovely than usual! Keithambrose, unicorn, kokopelli3 and 3 others 3 3 Quote
