Trip Report: Silom

I'm currently in Bangkok and will be leaving in about 30 hours so I need to be thoughtful with how I allocate my time.  I arrived at BKK airport at 11:40pm last night.  Immediately after customs I took out 10.7k baht from a Kasikorn Bank ATM.  I then walked past the taxi area and instead opted for a Grab.  I wanted to avoid any potential hassle with the taxi drivers as I'm under the impression that they like to gouge tourists a bit and I also wanted to pay with a credit card so Grab was ideal.  Within 15 minutes my Grab arrived and off we went.  About 35 minutes to my hotel in Silom.  The ride with all fees was about 650 baht and I was feeling generous so added 200 baht tip.  

Checked into my hotel(The Quarter) at about 1:15am.  I then freshened up and decided not to waste time and head straight to Good Boys.  It was a 6 minute walk with the slightest drizzle of rain.  First I walked down the main road to get a lay of the land and then doubled back to the Pavilion under Fresh Boys where the other gogo bar is located.  It was about 1:45am and they were about to close so it was probably unexpected that I showed up.  As I got close to the door a boy greeted me and walked me inside.  I was sat at a  table in the center of the room which was not ideal for me though the bar was pretty packed.  Mostly boys but patrons too.  I prefer to be on the perimeter so I can people watch.  At my vantage point I couldn't see anyone behind me.  I planned to just get a drink and not off anyone but the mamasan was sitting next to me and was persistently asking who I wanted etc.  

I kept smiling and declining anyone that came up to me.  There were about 5 or 6 drag queens providing entertainment and then there was a show where a few of the boys hit a drum with their cocks.  Afterwards a couple of them asked for tips and I politely declined.  It was 2am and the mamasan was really trying to get me to off someone and then I saw a sexy guy I liked on stage.  I told the mamasan his number and bought him a drink.  I think he was surprised that I picked him.  I asked if he wanted to go back to my hotel and he said yes.  I asked the mamasan for the price.  He proposed 3000 for boy, 500 for bar, plus 3x400 for the drinks.  I countered and said it was too much so then he asked me how much I could afford.  I said 2500 plus 500 off fee.  This was what I had paid at Freshboys in March so thought it was a good price to offer.  He accepted.  I also added 100 baht as tip for the mamasan.  I walked out paying 4300 all included for 3 hour short time with my Myanmar boy.  

He didn't speak English.  Before I paid he said I could not fuck him and I agreed.  We went to my room and using Google Translate I asked if we could shower together and he agreed.  We did that and then started the fun.  He said we could kiss but he was seriously bad at that or just didn't wanna be too gay so I gave up on kissing.  He was enjoying using my mouth as a kind of vagina and eventually I could see him watching porn so I got curious and started jerking off with him.  Alas it was straight porn so I assume he is probably gay for pay only.  We did some more things and both got off and showered together.  I really tried to make him feel comfortable.  Once he was dressed I thanked him and we smiled and he went for a hug.  It felt genuine.

I plan to just have one drink at a bar, Maybe spend 30 minutes and then move to the next one and end up at Freshboys at 9:45pm.  I'll hang there and think about offing 1 or 2 guys but keeping my options open in case I wind up at Good Boys later and maybe I can hire that hot guy that was booked by someone else.  I didn't see the number he was wearing.  Apologies for the rambling post.  I'm feeling rested now but I bet the jetlag will catch up to me sometime.  I can sleep on the flights home.

it  could be mook (pearl like insert) which some time ago was quite popular among boys but now mercifully rarity.

Good luck at Freshboys! I would forget about drink at bar and just go straight to Freshboys at 9pm. They open at 8pm by the way. Since you have such limited time, better to find your guy quickly, make arrangement for the threesome and go back to hotel room.

Got an answer for my own question. Minimum tip is 500 baht.  I am booking a 120 minute Thai massage. Hopefully he’s as hot as his pictures.  I’ll be fine paying 2050 baht for a massage and maybe a bit more for extras.  Do you think the 500 tip includes HJ or that will be extra?

The person running the Line account said Float is not skilled at Thai massage so i opted for something like an oil massage. He called it Signature Aroma. So 1890 plus 500 minimum tip.  Hopefully my allergies don’t leave me feeling congested on the table.  If this guy is sexy and fun i’ll book him again tomorrow as my last massage before flying back to Florida.

I’ve got a couple hours to burn so time to start wandering and maybe getting a foot massage at The Green or wherever I can choose my masseur. I hate when there is a rotation system.

So I went to Wabi Sabi.  The interior was very nicely decorated.  Comparing the interior to Kmanspa that I went to last time it was much brighter and minimal.  I booked one of the guys that was available today via Line.  He was as gorgeous as the pictures say and had a fun masculine vibe about him. First of all, thank you for writing the trip report! I havent finished reading yet but just need to reply on this.

I usually pay less than 500 baht taking taxi from bkk airport, even less if its from DMK. At late night, many taxi want a flat rate of 500 or 600 if its a big van type taxi that can fit more luggage and pax.

Compare that to what you pay for grab, seems like u pay more. Anyway, just wanted to point out the comparison. I understand you also wanted to use CC, so grab maybe more convenient. 

I used bolt as well, most of the time, its cheaper than grab.

@spoon You're very welcome!  Yes I'm under the impression that Bolt is cheaper than Grab so I may try that at some point.  I really just wanted to avoid talking to the taxi driver about running the meter and saying "tourist police" as a threat.  Grab was fine for me this time even if it was a few hundred baht more.  

On a completely unrelated note, I plan to be back to Thailand in late March with one of my best friends.  He's a handsome straight guy in his early thirties and he'll definitely be partaking in all that Bangkok has to offer although he'll be focused on the ladies while I do my thing.  So this little micro trip is partially to scout things out for my next trip with him.  He's half Vietnamese and wants to spend one week in Thailand and one week in Vietnam.  He's never been to either country and he really wants to have sex with hot ladies and primarily to explore Vietnam to better get to know that side of his heritage.  He knows I like to take fun x-rated trips so he invited me to go with him.  Went to Europe and Japan with him this year already and he partook in the sex trade both times.

Try a little negotiating.... you'll be surprised how much movement there is in the pricing structure and be clear what you want and what he'll do beforehand, this goes for massages, go-go and paid app hookups.

Do people here pay the first price when buying something in Patpong or any of the markets?
