If they rebrand as a Capella,  perhaps you would go?

You should have asked the bar owner of your favourite dancing / karaoke bar in Jomtien Complex. He use to be the GM before he retired to Thailand.

I state FACTS and an opinion,  you call me disagreeable and Nasty......   YOU have turned into Trump.   I am Hillary Clinton, that NASTY woman.    But respect to you for "owning" the historical posts I reference, although the posts were much more dramatic at the time you made them.   You exhausted members with your tele-novela lifestyle.    Behind the scenes us members referred to you as "the wannabe that Never will be".....  It was our running inside joke.    😏

But now I need to get back to my TDS and see what Nicole Wallace is reporting.....

(come on Olddaddy,  waiting for your "down vote") 🤣

to keep up with thread's subject -  that all you did in 2025 ? Not that much really

Thats True.   I am NOT the grand social butterfly that some "others" on this board are.....  And I dont need to IMPRESS anyone.   So the things I have to share that might be "share" worthy,  I CHOOSE not to share.   My life is not dependent on LIKES.   And I still use a landline !  🤪

Really? You certainly read more into posts than I have read. Others may be mightily pissed off like you about Trump, Epstein and others, but we do not let them consume our lives.

I too use a landline - but only for certain expensive long-distance calls.

Haha when I moved to this town 10 years ago I had a land line but due to the non stop scam callers it soon went into the rubbish bin.

You guys with landlines are really dating yourselves, I "cut the cord" at least 20 years ago.... do you have AOL accounts, write checks and pay for cable TV still 😳

Errrrr . . . yes! Gulp! Being based in Thailand I have to make a great many international calls. Making them through a landline saves a reasonable amount of cash in the long term. Also still have a cheque book! Two years ago my UK bank cut me off from my account for nearly 9 months. The 6-digit PINs they were allegedly generating never appeared on my phone or computer. They blamed my Thai phone service. After I complained to the Banking Authority and then higher up, I got rather a nice cash bonus since the bank was proved wrong! But that chequebook came in handy!

I use a landline in the UK, as I find the reception  and clarity better, and it does not cut out. Also, I find the receiver better to hold.

Here in Bangkok, I buy a 15 day sim, at the airport.  Yesterday Lloyds Bank froze my account citing a security  issue. To my surprise,  my Thai sim, AIS, allowed a free call to the UK, to sort it out! 15 mins it took. I was impressed, saved me a £7 roaming  charge, plus cost of call.

PS. My phone does not support an e-sim!
