There are discussions on this forum about where the best cashew chicken was on the menu. I had one today at Sarica restaurant on Surawong Road. Plenty of cashews, and the chicken was delicious. However, I have reservations about the quality of the sauce/paste they used. Still, I think it tasted good.

................................

Then Papasan and the boy started talking in Thai or Burmese. I didn't understand it at all. But after that, the boy claimed to want to take good care of me and was willing to do anything, including bottoming. But I insisted I wouldn't bring the boy along. A date between us could only end in disappointment. I want a real bottom or versa. And not someone who "just does it" because Papasan says so. It doesn't feel right to do something with a boy he doesn't choose for himself.

.....................................

I even managed to chat with a boy who had spontaneously sat next to me for a while before he asked if I wanted to buy them a drink. And I did want to buy him a drink. Because he was definitely my type. He spoke reasonable English. That was a plus. At the same time, there was another attractive boy further down who also kept making eye contact. Both boys from Vietnam.

Dish looks yummy. I wonder on which stretch of Suriwong that Sarica restaurant is ? Beauty of that dish is that almost everywhere it tastes bit differently.

.........................

At Dreamboys you did right thing . Mamasan likely pressed boy to agree in order not to lose customer. If you agreed chance that it would turn bad for either one of you or both was very high. I'm glad I have an allergy to seeking mamasan's help and always prefer to sort things with boy myself.

This is exactly why I use the Notes app on my iPhone to store some pictures/drawings to help in situations like this. It's impossible to know the local language, idioms, slang, etc. for every country and pictures get right to the point. Who would guess that the Spanish slang for rimming translates to "black kiss" in English? But a pic of a guy eating ass? That sends a clear message. For example, I use the pic attached here to determine if guys are top, bottom or vers when there is a language barrier, and I have more pics for other things I'm into. (Oddly, no pics of stamp collecting though... lol)

This never occurred to me, but this is an excellent idea. I think I may do this myself.

You're welcome. It has come in very handy. Plus, it can be fun finding pics to represent your interests. lol

While it's not 100% secure, I like that Notes has a lock feature to prevent accidentally opening it at inopportune moments or to prevent prying eyes from snooping.

Sarica is at the corner of Soi Wall Street and Surawong.  I usually go there once or twice when I'm in Bangkok.  It's been in the same location for at least 15 years that I know of.

They serve Thai food, with some farang and Japanese dishes.  It is very popular with Japanese customers, as Soi Thaniya is only a few steps away.  The menu, in addition to Thai and English, includes names of the various dishes in Japanese.

I was surprised last year to find the restaurant / cafe had changed a bit, with the front section featuring a cannabis menu, and the sign outside with the name Sarica Cannabis.  The front half used to be a coffee shop.  The cannabis section and the restaurant are divided with glass wall, with a door between the two.  The same waiters serve both sections.  The side entrance on Soi Wall Street leads directly into the regular dining room.

They must have thought there weren't enough shopping malls in the area yet.

Fully agree. The shopping mall is like any other and there are better ones. The garden is beautiful and even more so after sunset!

I deliberately didn't mention that I am top and wanted him to express his preferences first by asking him. His answer was ultimately clear: he's gay, but he's top.

In chinese, 1 and 0 is used to denote top and bottom. No prize to guess which is which. Ive used this before and has been successful. For vers, i use both hands 1 and 0 and interlocking them lol.

I agree that using 1 and 0 is an easy way to communicate!

Strictly speaking, it's to wash the fridge or ล้างตู้เย็น. 😉

You are right.

I've been going there for years. When cannabis regulations in Thailand became more relaxed, everyone wanted a piece of the pie. This restaurant included. So the front terrace was transformed into a cannabis shop where people smoked. It wasn't pleasant to sit and eat, so if you wanted to eat there, you basically had to sit inside. I was pleasantly surprised to see that cannabis sales have since stopped, and both the terrace and the interior are once again exclusively used as a bar/restaurant.

I received curious private messages about the two Vietnamese guys I'd brought to the Goodboy bar. Apparently, two Vietnamese brothers work there who sometimes accompany customers together. One of those brothers was indeed one of the guys I'd brought to the Méridien hotel. The other guy was a friend of his, but not his brother. He said his brother wasn't working. I'm still unclear whether he meant his brother simply had the night off or no longer works at the bar. I thought this might be an interesting addition to my earlier post about my "threeway" adventure.

By the way, after two nights at the Méridien Hotel, I changed hotels again. My budget doesn't allow for a longer stay in such an expensive hotel. So I stayed at the Ibis Styles Silom next, where I've stayed several times during my visits to Bangkok. And I always liked that hotel. Those who know it will remember that the bathroom tiles are very colorful and distinctive. It's funny to see different guys on Grindr with their profile pictures taken in a bathroom at the Ibis Styles. Then you at least know they're staying nearby... Or at least they can easily find the hotel if you invite them. Haha

LAST DAY IN BANGKOK BEFORE MOVING TO PATTAYA

Today the plan was to finally see something of Bangkok. My family and colleagues back home will get suspicious if I don't show any photos of Bangkok. What have I been doing there all this time? Haha. That's why I went to Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen. It's famous for the gigantic Buddha statue on one of Bangkok's canals. This large statue was under construction for a long time, but has recently been restored to its former glory. And I'd never been there before. It's very beautiful. Highly recommended. Especially if you can find the "hidden" photo spot across the water. For your convenience, this is the Google Maps link to that photo spot:

In the evening, I had plans to pick up the cute guy I met yesterday in Jupiter. But first, I wanted to check out Atlas Bar. A new bar I've never been to really needs to be checked out. While I was checking some messages on my phone outside, two men wanted to go in. But they immediately turned around. I heard this was because there weren't any customers inside. So, I'm not going in. It's so awkward to be the only customer in a bar like that. Who knows, I might try it again soon when I get back from Pattaya.

I decided to walk straight to Jupiter. I passed Rainbow Dragon. It was the first time I saw that there were actually quite a few people inside. It looked like some kind of event, with a drag queen shouting something into a microphone. It drew enthusiastic reactions from the audience. I don't know if they do drag shows there often or if this was a one-off.

I find many of the boys at Jupiter attractive. So I always enjoy watching their boys' parade. My eye fell on a boy with slightly curly hair. He has a very muscular body, a cute face, and a mischievous smile. He also performs many of the show acts as a dancer and stripper. But... he seems to have a brother who also works there? Because there were two boys with curly hair who look alike. See the two photos below from the parade video on Jupiter's Facebook page, from the day I was there. One boy is walking at the beginning of the parade. The other is at the end. They do look alike, don't they? Who knows more?

I didn't see the guy I'd spoken to yesterday in the parade, but luckily he came in right after. Papasan directed him straight to me. The deal was quickly made, since we'd actually agreed on it yesterday. Off to my hotel.

thanks for a good laugh, I consider Ibis also belonging to expensive category as any self respecting pensioner should do.

About Jupiter ' brothers' I have no idea but watching the parade another day i asked myself exactly the same question "are they brothers ?'' as hair face and built are very similar.

Actually you Jupiter boy may know. Hope you have fun with him as in recent years Jupiter boys are friendlier and friendlier every trip,
