I wouldn't mind being at the fireworks tonight but I dislike crowds and the eastern foreshore down here will be packed like never before. I haven't celebrated a new year's since about 1985 as I was just about always rostered on at work (or previous to that out bush with the army training / patrolling) and just haven't bothered since retirement. A nice steak dinner with a few quality red wines and a good night's sleep  will do me for tonight and is the usual now 🍷

Happy New Year gentlemen! 🪅 I am traveling in South Africa at the moment - had a great beach party to ring in the New Year and the booze was flowing like water. Fun to watch!  Heading north in a few days, after the South African men have taken advantage of me! 😉
