I wouldn't worry and go ahead and book. Any inconvenience is very limited and due to be concluded in the next couple of days. Even so they have offered guests use of, and transport to, the pool at their sister hotel the W.

When I was there, most of the area was closed, only one row of sunloungers. Clearly that is no longer the case, and, as I said, the work was to be completed end January.  I was offered the W option, but that's a bit of a bore, having to wait for a bus, go to another hotel, not knowing whether that pool is busy etc. I look forward to seeing renovations in November.

As in nine months from now? 😮 Or are we on a vinapu calendar - which means you'll be there on Valentine's Day? 😏

I follow the Gregorian calendar,  so 9 months from now!

Nine months is a long time and the boys are going to miss you.

I see that you liked my post so much that you quoted it twice! 😅

I like the Quarter Silom too especially the Tower 3 as it does not pass directly through the reception desk, but the walls are paper thin you can hear the next room chatting and the doors are slamming hard somewhat because of air pressure somewhere.

Probably GoldMember has already booked his accommodation

Indeed I have booked several options and will decide probably next week. Keeping my fingers crossed that the fragile geopolitical situation in my region doesn't escalate.

It's called Muscle Factory and also has another, more modern branch in Pattaya. It is a magnet for quite a few bodybuilders who are attracted by the availability of steroids in Thailand.

You can buy daily, weekly, monthly and yearly passes.

Heaps of equipment. No air-conditioning, just fans, but not too much of a problem at this time of the year.

I’ve seen it highly recommended. Surprising that the Pattaya gym is more modern than the Bangkok one, also that it’s not in central Pattaya. If I have time on my next trip will check it out

To be honest they are both out of the way. If I'm staying in Silom I get the BTS to On Nut station and it's about a 20 minute walk from there.

To get to the Pattaya gym, it's a pleasant walk from Dongtang beach along the seafront, maybe taking 25 minutes.

I could use Bolt, but they are both easy walks.

Is there cardio equipment? Couldn’t see any in the photos and reviews. My regular guy and I are both gym goers and we talk about getting in a session together some time but somehow we just can’t work up the energy to go when I’m visiting, even when the hotel has a very good quality gym. We end up sleeping late and being lazy 😅

He used to only lift but has now started cardio with my encouragement, which is better for his overall fitness and vascular health than just being a muscle Mary.

Yes, both gyms have cardio equipment upstairs.

If you did go to Muscle Factory  Bangkok, you might consider going afterwards to Krubb sauna at Phra Khanong, one BTS station away, to unwind!

Both gyms have cafe settings, but I think the Pattaya seating is better, as you can sit inside or out on the deck

And if you can't see any eye candy at either gym, it's a bad day.

By the way, the fees aren't cheap. More like Western prices.
