First time

Hello, I’m posting my first message here so I apologise if I’m repeating anything from the earlier. I’ve been reading through the threads for a few weeks and thought I’d ask something.

Me and my partner are going to Bangkok for the first time. 
We are each looking for a massage but not sure what to pick as a first time, would any recommend joint massages or not? 
We have had individual ones in other countries before and they included extras at the end. 
Would you say that the quality of the massage degrades when the focus is more on the extras?

What do you mean by "joint massages"? You and your partner in the same room being massaged by two masseurs? That's not unusual but more common at straight massage parlours. Very common at hotel spas. I think gay massage parlours should offer this service too but I'll leave it to the experts, of which there are many here. You've come to the right place!

As for your second question, it really boils down to the masseur and his skills, how many clients he's had that day, your expectations and the chemistry between the two of you. You may receive a great massage but poor afters, a so-so massage but great afters, or both the massage and the extras could be great...or bad. Good service in one area doesn't necessarily mean the other will be compromised. There's no exact science to it and as my stamp-collecting aunty likes to say, "Just go!"

Nah, you don't need a crib sheet. Hang around, keep an open mind, take part, don't take us too seriously, don't take yourself too seriously and eventually you'll figure it out. Have fun!

Despite not being one of the experts, I humbly submit u ask at one of the many venues that offer 4 hands massage.

Since they r used to two guys offering 'afters' to one client, they shouldnt have a prblm doing that with two. 

The main obstacle might b logistic: do they have a cubicle with two beds.....

Two masseurs working on two clients in the same room may cause them to be shyer, especially of each other, than they would be if they were alone with the client.

No harm in asking first,  and setting out what you want them to do.

I looked up "shyer" as I had never heard of the adjective "shy" being modified this way but apparently it's not wrong. I would have said "more shy" which is more commonly used. One uncredited entry on reddit (I know, I know, don't judge me🙄) says "shyer" is used in the Queen's English, which I find even more incredulous. A regional or class variation perhaps. Anyone care to comment? @Keithambrose?

I'm a 'more shy' person. Didn't say shyer at Oxford! However,  it conveys the meaning perfectly well.
