Ladyboy bars

I'm thinking of opening up a bar in the next few years

im still planning it although it might lead to more a LadyBoy bar  than a boy bar

Have you ever noticed the majority of Ladyboy bars are NOT in the gay areas but in the straight areas

I'm thinking will a Ladyboy bar in the  Jomtien complex do any good ?

I'm thinking introducing Muay Thai🥊🥊 boxing ring and encouraging the crowd to fight the ladyboy boxers

I will have to try to bring a different clientele into that area ,young British and Aussie guys already 🍷 🍻 coming into the complex ready for my Muay Thai ladyboy bar ready to have a good time ,groups of young British Aussie arab guys

Will a Ladyboy bar survive in the Jomtien complex?

Two straight men I know- yes, I do mix outside my community- are obsessive about Thai ladyboys....at a distance I must emphasise.

I'm no expert but I have watched the two-way transition of P's cousin, whom I first met as a  twenty-three year old  in 2006. He was a good-looking, rather femme gay guy.   Over the next eight years I watched him slowly but inexorably become "a lady". Hair, jewellery, dresses, speech, behaviour... step by step he was transformed.

About thirteen years ago he became a mamasan in one of the "men for ladies" clubs in Third Road, even appearing on Thai TV.

Then, when he reached forty, he started moving in the opposite direction and now dresses as a man, if a little eccentrically; and the cosmetics and the dresses are gone.

P tells me he still uses Khatoey Argot, of which I understand not a word, but this remains the last vestige of his rather odd gender-journey.

There is a very fluid grey area between, Twinks, Femme-Boys and Ladyboys themselves.

Take, just for example, a very pretty twink boy from M Bar say in the Jomtien Complex (they have many!), grow their hair, take off their jeans and put them in a dress instead, add a little (more 😅) make-up, and lo and behold you are looking at a ladyboy.

Conversely, take a 'pre-op' ladyboy from, say 'Katoyes Are Us', put them in jeans, cut their hair, wipe off their make-up, and all of a sudden you are looking at a Twink.

Yes I know that it can be more complicated than that - personality traites etc. etc., but fundamentaly the difference is one of perception rather than physique? And here I am obvioulsy talkinging about pre-operation ladyboys without any 'bolt-ons' or the 'cut'.

Somewhere inconveniently buried in the photo archive on  my hard-drive I have a number of 'just for fun', then and now pics, of boys from boy bars that I knew dressing-up as ladies for fun, for parties, or to just see what they looked like.

I don't think you would do well in Jomtien Complex with a Ladyboy Bar, there are too many prejudices amongst potential customers IMHO. But you could open (another) Twink bar and, say every month, put on a cross-dressing competition for your boys (with money prizes obviously)? I bet the reactions (boys and customers) would be interesting?

Better still @Olddaddy, setup a Tradies bar. The boys can be offed to partake any number of jobs, check your plumbing, wire you up, mow your bush, survey your area, cook up a treat or just scrub your carrot, put up shelves, plowing your land, vitamin D supplements, games of bashing the Bishop or bumping uglies, sweeping the chimney, the possibilities are endless!

Full Aussi Tradie attire as standard.

Redo the old Skyhooks classic,  "Thai Boys in Uniform".

As Vessey says, it is not a question of physique. My friend began his journey as a "funny khatoey", that is participating in Thai-orientated khatoey shows.  I saw one in Pattaya; it presented not only the attractive but competitions for the ugly, for the over-thirties, for the overweight- "Ms Jumbo"- and for the comic. He won the "comic" prize.

Another strange manifestation of this phenomenon  is in the rural area where P lives, where two very young boys- I mean pre-pubescent- are accepted by the community as prototypes for  ladyhood.  I was astonished also to hear  that the school he attended as teenager held a khatoey show. This was thirty plus years ago; I suspect that attitudes may have changed.
