Some cities hide their pleasures better than others. Bangkok flaunts. Seoul barely whispers. Saigon? It dares you to look — and if you do, it rewards you like a sinner stumbling into paradise. This forum has been sleeping on it for too long. The full-service scene here hums just below the surface — smooth, discreet, and dangerously good. Aqua Spa is a perfect doorway. Step through a quiet side entrance and you’re swallowed by deep red tapestry, dark wood, and the thick, slow perfume of something sweeter and heavier than innocence. Indochine luxury turned just dark enough to taste. You can pre-book your masseur if you like certainty, or arrive and let …

From PBS A scene from the film Viet and Nam. The film hit select U.S. theaters on March 28, 2025. (Strand Releasing USA) Some of the most touching scenes in Việt and Nam happen underground, when the two young coal miners at the center of the film embrace each other in silence. Those are moments when they can love each other freely. But their relationship almost takes a backseat in the film, which will hit select theaters in the U.S. on Friday. Set in 2001, it follows the lovers' quest to find the body of Nam's father — a soldier who died during wartime in Vietnam — and Nam's decision to leave the country for a better lif…

https://www.imidaily.com/asia-pacific/vietnam-tourism-board-proposes-new-10-year-golden-visa/ Let's hope that they actually follow through with this idea. Their goal for 8% or more GDP growth, includes as part of that plan these 3 new visa types. And the wonderful beach city of Da Nang is on the list of areas to be included for this pilot.

The March 5 document from the trade ministry features the schedule of Trade Minister Nguyen Hong Dien's trip to the United States this week. https://e.vnexpress.net/news/business/property/hcmc-bans-airbnb-like-short-term-lease-of-residential-apartments-4856470.html Wonder how strict they are going to enforce it, even though the one I usually stay at when in HCMC is both an hotel and apartment, so might escape the ban. If they are really serious in enforcing it , I'm sure it will keep some people away from visiting.

Another moved post from another forum. You will love Danang and the area. I started a 10 day trip 5 years ago just as the airlines were stopping flights due to covid. Hoi An just 30 minutes away is a glorious little town, with lanterns lit up everywhere in the evenings. Hoi An There is also at the west end a 15th century Japanese bridge In the centre of this area is the large city of Danang with its fabulously long beaches A little further north there is the old Imperial capital of Hue. The French destroyed much of it, espeically the imperial palace, but it is slowly being restored. This was the scene of a lot of fighting…

From The Nation / Reuters Vietnam's National Assembly on Tuesday approved a bold bureaucratic reform plan that will slash up to a fifth of government bodies, as the country tries to cut costs and improve administrative efficiency. More than 97% of the lawmakers present approved the plan. The assembly earlier on Tuesday passed an amendment to a law on organising government, paving the way for approval of the planned cull of 15% to 20% of the state apparatus, which will also…

When it comes to boys, Vietnam is not Thailand. But there are a couple of places worth checking out. First, speaking to Grindr/HeeSay hookups, I’ll say I had a mixed, mostly negative experience. One muscle boy from Grindr came to my hotel for a hookup and only informed me he was a money boy after he stripped down to his underwear. My instinct was to kick him out immediately for not telling me up front, but he was so hot I agreed he could stay. But then, he would barely kiss, he wouldn’t fuck, wouldn’t suck, and we jacked for 10 minutes or so. I realized I was bored and told him he could leave. He asked for $20. I said no way. Offered him $8. We settled on $12. I pai…

From VN Express Fake Vietnam Airlines websites are taking advantage of gullible customers to “sell” them flight tickets online, especially with the holiday season approaching, authorities have warned. Many websites similar to that of state-owned Vietnam Airlines are defrauding customers, the Ministry of Information and Communications’ Authority of Information Security said in a recent release. Fraudsters use address names such as "vietnamairslines" (with an extra "s") and vietnamaairlines (with an extra "a") to fool customers, and their websites look similar to the carrier’s. Customers are informed their chosen flights are full, but they can c…
