From The Thaiger Thai AirAsia X announced the suspension of its sole Australian route between Sydney and Bangkok, effective August 1. Despite the temporary halt, the airline assures it remains committed to the Australian market and plans a grand return in December with increased flights and enhanced connectivity. The decision to suspend services was driven by fleet management and operation hub movement. As part of a strategic shift, Thai AirAsia X will relocate all operations back to Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) from October 1, moving away from Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK). To minimise disruption, Thai AirAsia X will reroute …

I often look up some of the men I use as J/O material, often budding or would-be models, to see what they eventually end up doing. Many take careers which capitalize on their looks, such as personal trainers, realtors, etc. But some go into surprising paths. Austin Scoggin has hundreds of photos of himself online, but ended up taking on a career as a fire fighter--in Austin TX of all places (though he's from Oregon). I wonder if he picked Austin TX because of his name?? https://www.famousbirthdays.com/people/austin-scoggin.html

https://www.huffpost.com/entry/supreme-court-immunity-trump-biden-assassinate_n_66831f73e4b06575b36641d8 The Supreme Court’s decision that Donald Trump has full immunity for “official acts” he took as president is so sweeping and vague that it opens the door for sitting presidents to do whatever they want without any accountability, including assassinating a political rival. Legal experts said Monday that yes, as horrific and authoritarian as that sounds, the 6-3 decision by the court’s conservative supermajority means that President Joe Biden could theoretically order that Trump be killed and be immune from criminal prosecution. “Presumptively…

My neighbor said she hires a company to apply orange oil to prevent termites. I haven't noticed anything myself, but when I bought the property 4 years ago, it required termite treatment, and that involved tenting with toxic chemicals (no food, pets, etc.). The company my neighbor uses has only 2.3 stars on Yelp, so I called another company with 4.9 stars, which advertises orange oil. They say they only treat for actual infestations, not for prevention. There does seem to be some sense in a simple preventative care, to avoid more costly and difficult treatment later. But what do I know? Is there any sense in termite prevention? Do any of you do this?

From Thai PBS World Southeast Asia’s many unique ways of greeting people fascinate visitors to the region, not least because they are a cultural trait that reflects respect and a sense of spirituality. Sadly though, while some are still popular, a few are almost no longer in use today. “The Asian continent, especially the Southeast Asian region, is laden with interesting gestures. From the way we eat – with chopsticks or with bare hands – to the way we socialize and interact with other people, these gestures set us apart from the rest of the world while also bringing us closer together,” says Janice Ho, an expert on Asian Studies. Respect and reveren…

From Pattaya Times Today on behalf of our friends at Issan Lawyers we take a look at five major differences between the Thai legal system and most Western legal systems. These are significant in many cases especially for expat readers who may not be aware. 1. **Legal Tradition**: – **Thailand**: The Thai legal system is primarily based on civil law, which means it relies heavily on written statutes and codes. – **Western Countries**: Most Western legal systems, such as those in the United States, the United Kingdom, and many European countries, follow the common law tradition. Common law relies on judicial decisions (case law) as well as statutes. …

From Pattaya Times A dramatic rescue unfolded in the waters between Koh Larn and the coast of Pattaya City when the passenger boat “Tara Jade” suffered a sewage pump failure. The boat began taking on water, threatening the safety of its 12 Thai passengers—5 men and 7 women. Speedboat operators sprang into action, racing to the scene to assist the distressed passengers. Mr. Ed Chankrajai, the driver of the speedboat “Yodtong,” led the rescue effort. As seawater gushed into the Tara Jade’s stern, he shouted for everyone to don life jackets. The tourists were swiftly transferred to the waiting speedboat, which transported them back to shore at Bali Hai Pi…

I was born a bred on American football. 🏈 When I began visiting Bangkok in 2002, I found myself immersed In an altogether different game that shares the name. It wasn’t infatuation at first sight. But slowly, incrementally I found myself coming to appreciate the game and its rules. A succession of boys would ask if I minded if they watched it after the room festivities died down back in my room. It served as a common denominator. After meeting my long time friend, as rabid a fan as I can imagine, I was drawn deeper into the lure of the game. The last World Cup and now Euro 2024 are continuing my indoctrination. Last year I posted this observation about g…

I sometimes troll Model Mayhem for wanking material, and this man's self-introduction gave me a chuckle: https://www.modelmayhem.com/youssefkayaz "As you can see, I'm really attractive, charming, humble, modest and very photogenic. It would be a shame for all that to go to waste. That's why I model. A bit more about me? Well I have an undergraduate degree (BA) and am in second year Nursing studies. In addition to modeling and acting, I have many interests, including sports, current events, world peace, etc. However, my greatest goal is to one day rule over the fashion/modeling industry by using my intellect and impressive personalty ..". His humility and …

From The Nation Bhumjaithai secured a strong showing in the elections, transforming into a dominant ‘blue faction’ in the Senate The results of the senatorial elections not only changed the political landscape but also transformed the image of the Bhumjaithai Party. It can be said that the party has undergone a complete transformation, or a "from day to night" change. Previously, Bhumjaithai, despite being a party with 71 seats and showing consistent growth in the number of MPs, was often underestimated. It had once set a lofty goal of becoming a 100-seat party, with aspirations as high as 120 sea…

I’ve posted several articles about the declining birth rate and its implications on the country. You’ll find another published today in The Thaiger below. How it exactly plays out is uncertain but one thing is becoming abundantly clear: citizens from the neighboring ASEAN countries will be called on to supply even greater labor going forward. ========== Thailand’s population crisis, described as an “invisible time bomb,” requires urgent government intervention, according to Varawut Silpa-archa, the Minister of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS). Varawut stated the following during a forum on national strategies hosted by the National Press …

I was in need of a print shop to make copy of visa for upcoming trip and was lucky to find one in the first block of Soi Saladeang (right side). The sign says passport photo and name of shop is Photo Unique. They also print photos. Prices are very reasonable. There used to be numerous places to get this work done when cyber cafes were popular. Mobile phones and tablets changed all that.

From my experience I don't believe one can find a "real" boyfriend on Thailand Maybe I looked the wrong places Sometimes I get lonely I would like someone to love and be loved back. I do believe if I stayed longer in the Philippines I could of found a real boyfriend,I find Filipino much more loving than thais especially the male nurse Filipino guys Of course that's my opinion . You can know if someone genuinely has feelings for you ,sometimes you have to accept that the person you thought you had feelings for was not in reality the person I want to find a boyfriend this year . Can we be alone , I do get lonely being alone
