After my previous trip was cancelled due to the pandemic, I’m finally able to be visit Colombia. This new thread will be a semi blog with observations and tips from this current trip to Medellin and Bogota.

This is my first time to Brazil but I have been to many other Latin American countries and live in one. Is there a link here I didn't find? Do they read every post (and therefore also this one)? I humbly suggest organizing here Latin America the same way Asia is organized: by countries. Brazil, Colombia and DR - each deserve a forum of its own, for sure. The rest could also be independant (just like the minor Asian destinations), or bunched together. I just returned from 10 days in Colombia and I thought I would share my experience. It was my 4th or 5th time to Colombia and as always had a great time. Bogota--Arrived late Friday in order to enjoy Teatron on a Saturday night. As many know Teatron is the large nightclub that is truly amazing. Many floors and rooms for dancing and music. The top floor is men only and has naked strippers. Others have suggested that they might be available but I am not so sure. Looking at fares between SP and Rio next week and the week after. GOL and LATAM fares are all more than USD 100-150+ For less than 1h flight it is kinda expensive - and much more than the GOL ticket I bought last year (which I ended up skipping because travel to Rio was cancelled). Airtravel in Brazil has picked-up so airlines now can charge an arm for dom. flights - or it is because I'm too late/close to my departure date?
