Is anybody following The Strain? I am a fan of Guillermo del Toro and enjoy a lot this little pearl coming from his imagination. I have been bind watching the fourth season throughout this week, and saw the episodes where Quinlan shows disguising his skin with make up. I had never checked the actor's face before, what a disappointment. I find Quinlan irresistibly sexy and fuckable, but not his performer. And an extra present, unrelated to the previous comment.

This is a pearl I found in the Argentinian forum: You can start with the first episode there and keep going if you like it. You have English subtitles if you need them. I just finished the first 4 episodes, the first three are excellent, the fourth is very good but the philosophical conversations disrupt a little the flow of the action. The plot is simple and not very original. A group of 4 gay friends (30 years old average) get together as they usually do, to learn that the host hired an escort to be his companion in a family reunion, and the escort is coming any time to have his interview, as the contract would be for a whole week end. …

If you are familiar with Brit Alan Hollinghurst's work and Booker Prizewinner status, you may know his latest novel TSA. He is a kind of unofficial Violet Quill member from across the pond. Semi-spoiler alert warning: ------ His version of a gay-for-pay long-game scene, more literary than pornographic, yet extremely erotic. Set in one of the historical timeframes and settings of the book. I really enjoyed it and I am going to try to revive it by finding just the right photo image(s) for me to fantasize and, well, you know ...

I like ginger Brit Lewis a lot ... Band of Brothers, Forsyte Saga, Homeland, Wolf Hall, and Billions. And here he is in production playing Rob Ford, mayor of Toronto when I was living there and he was publicly open about getting chemotherapy across the street. Or did Chuck get the edge on Bobby, forcing him on the lam? M

This was my first gay love affair in literature. I had to read it quietly and checked it out of a local library. It was magic for me as it helped me to see a future and a world outside of Alabama. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/armistead-maupins-tales-city-ellen-page-joins-laura-linney-olympia-dukakis-netflix-sequel-1105348

Back when the Hooville Weekend was called just that, we would all go after Saturday's dinner to the Palm Canyon Theater, our local amateur theater, for a show. For example, on February 9th, 2009, the sixth annual Hooville Weekend, we saw Damn Yankees. When my day administering the weekend came to a close, the theater part was dropped. So, last night everyone went their own way after dinner, but my hubbie and my longtime friend went to see a show at the Palm Canyon Theater. Guess what was playing? Damn Yankees! The difference between this production and the 2009 show was night and day. We found ourselves flabbergasted at the quality of everything in the show- sin…

In the Asia forum, I wrote about a novel set in Thailand called Jack Was Here. It's a pretty good tale of a missing 19-year old being sought by a soldier who returns home with PTSD and needs something to do. But for novels set in Thailand, I return here to the literature forum. You are not going to find many quality books set in Thailand that have a gay theme. There are some, but the novels mentioned here are superb reading material. The first to mention is Bangkok 8 by John Burdett. I couldn' t get enough of Burdett and have read all of his novels starring Sonchai Jitpleecheep. (There are 5 in the series, but Bangkok 8, the first, remains my favorite. …

I don't think I have been in lust as bad as this all year! I stumbled upon a Netflix movie called Never Back Down 2. It's one of those fight movies. Since it was filmed about 8 years ago, Dean Geyer may not look the same now, but I'll bet he still looks good. Anyway, in the movie he is as hot as they come, with fight scenes that rival a porn movie.Shirtless, sweating, handsome and hunky. I am in lust. He wasn't the only hot guy in the movie, so check it out. (He's the one on the right!) Dean Geyer was on Glee back in 2012. Okay, I won't go on endlessly!

The Last Post is a 6 episode series on Amazon that had me totally intrigued this week. It's about a British Army base in Aden in 1965, when the Empire was crumbling. Like other streaming series, it has a bit of soap opera to it as we learn the stories of the various cast members. What first intrigued me was the very handsome Tom Glynn-Carney as Tony Armstrong as a Lance Corporal who falls in love with an Arab women. (They are both so pretty.) Lots of drama, but a story line that I found captivating. There's a lot of skin. And another cute guy. And, not the least, the trailer, so you can get an idea of the story. BTW…
